By the fifth season, Aku is a coward who can't risk his own skin to fight Jack even if he has all the advantages at hand. Consequently, he'll never be rid of Jack until he confronts his mortality.
Also, I wonder if Aku disguised himself as old Jack to fool the Guardian that he's the chosen one in the vision.
I like to imagine he kept spamming the guardian with minions until he depleted all his ammo, once he was out of ammo Aku strolled to kill him
New theme music also a boxPlot twist: Aku did do that, and he was the chosen one in the vision.

The Guardian actually got bored waiting for the chosen one and went off on holiday, and came buck to find the portal in ruins,he dropped his glasses in shame and walked away realising he had failed
New theme music also a box....this show is almost silly enough that I could see that happening.
The other stuff (especially Aku disguising himself as Old Jack) is equally plausible.
We should get Genndy to actually detail how that one went down.
One Strip! One Strip!Aku probably wouldn't be able to pull it off well enough. Remember that pretty much all of his forms share his original color scheme — black, green, and red. Even his Ikra disguise had it.

Disgusted, but not surprisedIt's not like Aku would have anything to fear from the Guardian anyway. "He found and killed him" really doesn't need an elaborate explanation.
There a new Samurai Jack game coming out in summer 2020 call Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time
Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time Official Announcement Trailer
"All things must come to the end" which is why we're getting a game after getting a finale. I wonder how much is Tartakovsky involved.
From what the trailer shows (since it actually shows Jack fighting Scaramouche) I'm guessing it is just adapting the five seasons in one complete game. Very neat. Shame the end doesn't show it coming to PC.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."It does at the end with an awkward "PC Game" logo, but the next recommended videos thing pops up at the same time, making it harder to see. I think the logo means they don't know whether it will be exclusive to one of the two PC platforms or not.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Well. We're going to get a proper final boss battle between Jack and Aku now.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Hoo... I'd love to play through episodes made to fit the video game hack n' slash format.
The Lava Monster would make for a kickass boss fight. And there's so much more I do not know where to begin. But of course, you gotta compress stuff so...not everything will be there.
Wait wait wait—
please let there be an episode level where you play as chicken Jack please and please let there be a full, downloadable version of that track that plays when that Fat Bastard is on the screen. I always wanted a full official version of it but you gotta rely on cropping, editing or making your own instrumental

Ohh man, we can play as bearded ronin Jack. I'm looking forward to this.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Hopefully there are lots of weapons & moves.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Imagine a no-sword challenge. I always felt Jack's time using guns was too short-lived so I hope you can extend it here... I mean, some areas could use Adaptation Expansion imo
I hope you can block bullets with your sword just like in the show.
Adult Swim Games says "over a dozen weapons".
I hope we can use Scaramouche's tuning-fork knife.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Looks neat, I just wish the gameplay was cel-shaded. The backgrounds look good, and the textures are nice, but the lighting draws too much attention to the 3D engine. If this game were cel-shaded, it could be one of the most beautiful games of all time.
I kinda wish it had multiplayer or different characters at least. I'd love to play as the likes of The Scotsman, Ashi, Ikra and Scaramouche the Merciless. Maybe even go ham and include Demongo and Da Samurai.
Ain't no doubt 'bout that!
"All you Fascists bound to lose."At least we know the Scotsman and Scaramouche are in the game in some capacity.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I hope for Ashi.
I hope for X-49.
If there's anything else I didn't like about season 5, it's complete lack of any reference, acknowledgement of him and Lulu...sweet thing.
So I hope he gets a proper closure, a posthumous one and Lulu is there. Who knows, in the future without Aku, he is an ordinary man, a successful musician with his dog.
In the game, if he's playable, it'd make for a Hopeless Boss Fight against Jack... or you can change his fate and covertly rescue Lulu. I hope that can happen
Oh, and I'd love to see the setting, the environment fleshed out. Like exploring the Aku city, the wilderness and more

Oh man! Can't believe I forgot about X-49. A X-49 level alone would be awesome (and it even has a neat endpoint with that scene X-49 shoots down Jack only to realize he shot down a decoy and Jack is behind him), and having him playable would just be peak levels of hype. I imagine it wouldn't even be that difficult to code it given X-49's gameplay would presumably just be functionally the same as that of Gunman Jack, only with automatic reloading. X-49's fighting style seemed to basically boil down to Guns Akimbo Gun Fu and nothing else, so he is actually more limited than Gunman Jack.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I also forgot about the princess bounty hunter. She also never got a proper closure or mention in season 5 either! I'd be delighted if she was playable or a major supporting friendly NPC that you help out by doing her quest of freeing her people and then joining your cause.
I looked at some of the screenshots. One screenshot is of the celtic demon's lair which can mean only one thing: rescuing Scotsman's wife! So Scotsman himself will be in the game

I'm assuming Roflstomped even before he ran out of bullets.
Like I was saying, Jack seems to be the only one who doesn't instantly get his ass kicked by Aku.
Being able to actually hurt him likely helps. For everyone else, it's just a constant downhill battle. You're losing from the moment the fight starts.
One Strip! One Strip!
