  • Name: Leonard 'Boom' Rickards.
  • Age: 29
  • Gender: Male
  • Race:Spiroulan/Lorydian
  • Organization: Sons
    • Role: Demolitions Engineer/Explosives-Oriented Alchemist
  • Appearance:A dark-skinned, balding man of a non-remarkable build. It's the burns spotting his face, hands and torso that would draw the most attention. A significant chunk of his left palm is missing. He wears a simple white undershirt under a black duster, with black chaps and boots. Two crossing bandoliers, each holding twelve metallic cylinders, are slung around his torso. Six cylinders bearing similar proportions to soup cans line his sides, three on each hip.
  • Skills: Leonard has a natural affinity for things that go 'boom.'' Synthesizing explosives, deploying them in combat, laying traps, controlled demolition, he's done it all. He's no slouch with a crossbow, either.
  • Weapons. Twenty-four sticks of dynamite, and six fragmentation grenades. He's in possession of two hand-crossbows that use the dynamite as ammunition. They hold three sticks each. Gunplay doesn't really satisfy his needs, though he he keeps a Colt Single Action Army holstered at all times, for precision.
  • Personality: An overall amiable man, though with a very liberal definition of concepts like 'acceptable losses' and 'collateral damage'. His most sadistic streaks don't surpass that of your average bandit, but'll come out of the blue, if at all. Despite the inherent risk of friendly fire that comes with his lot in life, he's unfailingly loyal to those who are good to him. Complete tolerance for his art isn't required.
  • Backstory: Originally a student of Spiroulan religious practices, Leonard was 'was exiled' (read; barely escaped) his hometown after he applied the alchemical practices of his peoples religious leaders and medicine men for his own destructive ends. Leonard, never quick to learn his lesson, went relatively un-impeded in his studies and his creation of new kinds of explosive devices, getting by on various patents and interested beneficiaries. For the moment, the Sons are those beneficiaries.

I like him! Especially because earlier today, I was thinking how an explosives character could work.

Accepted!

Hurmm. This still hasn't picked up a lot of steam, at least not enough for me to really get things rolling where I'm not just, you know, controlling aspects of the plot that you guys should be playing out.

Urgh. I'll give it a few more days before I officially cancel it out.
