I don't think that one benefits a lot from being larger. It's in a relatively simple style. I also prefer that one over Atlas, as it's much more clear which trope it's illustrating.

Check out my fanfiction!I like the Great Fausto.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!banana, my thinking with the larger Fausto pic wasn't so much "has to be" as it was "Bigger Is Better" combined with "why not?".
Anyway, I agree that the smaller Fausto pic works best of the presented options so far.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpThe pic at 18, doesn't really say strongest man does it? I mean he's gigantic, for one thing.
somethinggood point; Atlas is a titan.
re: image sizing, bigger is not (always) better. That's my point. Unless downsizing makes an image lose key details or legibility, a 200-300px width should be enough, especially if it's a portrait. As for the "why not?", bulky images in turn shrink the space for the page text, which can be annoying on smaller screens. Images hanging into the examples are also generally not a good thing.

Men on steroids can get far bigger than that. The point isn't that it is a man, it's that he's the world's strongest. This trope is played with by Pippi Longstocking, who is the strongest girl in the world pitted against the strongest man in the world. When exaggerated, it could be a competition among giants. Therefore, it doesn't matter.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Men on steroids can be the size of a planet? 'scuse me?
Also uh, considering that Atlas is not actually on the earth, he's not the strongest person on the planet, is he? It's just that, Atlas is not supposed to be human, so the pic really doesn't say man very much.

somethingWhoops! I thought you were talking about 17 rather than 18 for some reason! I understand now, and no they definitely can't. XD
Taking that into account, I guess 24 is better then.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. The downsized Great Fausto gets my vote.
Looks like 6 in favor of #24: bananasloth, Another Duck, Spark 9, me, Telcontar, Willbyr.
Obviously the current caption would have to go, but does #24 need a caption, or is the text in the image enough to cover the relation to the trope?
All your safe space are belong to TrumpThat's good enough; the pic's up and tagged. I got nuthin' for a caption.
I like 350 px as a vertical height limit for "portrait" (taller-than-wide) images, even though the uploader only restricts width. I think gigantic images look sloppy.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan."He should pick up the other grey weight with his left hand, so it's at least balanced."
... Nah, doesn't really work.
Check out my fanfiction!"Just don't ask him to swap arms."
Moon◊Personally I think no caption works fine.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpLet's go ahead and lock up.
that's good, the earlier 524 tall version was much too big. Max 350 width ≠ it has to be 350.
