Honestly, the continued existence of this name has always baffled me.
That said, people are going to want some proof that it's being misused.

This trope is misused rather frequently. I think the last thread established that but I'm not really sure. Either way, the trope title really has little to do with the core of the trope which is actually 'Really aloof distant person is very popular in universe for some reason.'

Okay, there was already a thread on this, but it timed out, and the name's really bugging me. So anyway. Snowclone.
I also think it could use a bit of cleanup in terms of the definition as well. At current it kind of gets tagged onto anyone who happens to be tall, dark-haired, and female, regardless of whether or not they fit the personality type. I'm even seeing a lot of blonde examples.
