The current title isn't exactly confusing, but Wax On Wax Ouch would be a lot more direct and fit the pun of the name much better.

Personally Wax On Wax Scream didn't make any sense to me (I came to the page because I had no idea what it meant), but it might be clearer for other. But between that and the opportunity for a better name.

8 wicks, 12 inbounds? Just Do It

Well, don't do it, you might get banned or something. But, still, just do it.

Suggestion doesn't make much more sense to me.

My thinking is that the suggestion at least sounds like "off," rather than "scream" which is no more clear, but completely random. It's almost an example of Subverted Rhyme Every Occasion it's so random.

Again, it's minor, but I think it's pretty definitely an improvement. And such a small article wouldn't cause much confusion by renaming it, as abk pointed out.

This trope has absolutely nothing to do with the Karate Kid meme of "wax on wax off", so I have no idea why it's Snow Cloned after that. That said, the name suggested in the OP is not an improvement either.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

It's definitely underused, so a rename might be a good solution.

The OP suggestion is slightly better, but not enough to warrant a rename in my opinion. Avoiding the Karate Kid reference would be a good idea, so it's still not a good name.

I'd prefer something like Waxing Pain.

I suggest Shaving Pains, and broaden the trope to include razors.

[up][up][up] Regarding "amusement", please read our page on Everythings Worse With Snowclones. No, basing a name upon another name does not automatically make it witty.

Agreed with the Shaving Pains idea.

I was just building on the Karate Kid reference, because really... the current name is pretty bad regardless.

Shaving Pains is pretty good, though you'd want to make sure to clear up confusion with Cut Himself Shaving (at least, title-wise).

Screaming Body Wax! Perfect!

I was trying to think of a term that encompassed all forms of wax-based "painful hair removals procedure" gags without being too unwieldy and somehow didn't remember it's called "body waxing".

Oh... change it please. If this isn't a Critical Snowclone Failure, I don't know what is.

It itself is making me scream!

As for an alternate title... Painful Body Waxing? Painful Hair Removal? Wax Wound?

Painful Body Waxing works for me as well. Is this going to be one of those rare cases where we resolve a TRS discussion without a crowner? That would be cool! :)
