I gotta admit I really loved those choose-your-own adventure book style pages that show up when you overcome an obstacle or some big event or something... There is a strange charm into them. Glad they went with that instead of a flashy cutscene, more choices into them!
I love the combat system, every build is useful, no reason to delete a character and start a new game! Fights can be hard to penatrate due to looking out for characters' stamina (Which a few people might not like), but it makes the combat a lot less of a "spam attacks" and rewards careful planning and tactics. Sometimes luring an enemy to a blunderbuss wielding companion saved more time than bashing thier heads in like a Zerg Rush.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterOh my god. The paladin is a badass bird lady.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."And she is awesome as hell.
Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.I'm going with the psionic class.
I remember how Eder started as a Fighter, then Rogue, then multiclass of both, and back to a Fighter. Good times...
Looks like Forton the Monk won't be joining the party, I suppose I can live with that, I kinda suck at using them.

Why is there no cast list anywhere? Kana's voice sounds really familiar but no one seems to have any info on any of the voice actor except for both of Matthew's Mercer's characters.
The reputation system is weird. It's like, you meet someone and they have no idea who you are but as soon as you hit a reputation "node" they'll all of a sudden know exactly how honest/clever/aggressive/whatever you are.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."You're listening to the dulcet tones of Crispin Freeman. At least that's who he sounds like.

Huh, weird. Coulda sworn Kana was Crispin Freeman.
Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.Yeah, i'm pretty sure now that Kana's voiced by Patrick Seitz. I'm half expecting him to yell "INFERNO DIVIDER" any moment now.

Oh, yeah. I can definitely hear Ira Gamagoori there.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I wanted to be a voice actor but they didn't get my demo reel in time. :sad face:
@Mukora: Funny you say that :P Since Aloth's second ruder personality is woman.
Anyway, geez X-x; I have to not open up this game tomorrow/today(its 1:26 am now) I have played for 34 hours in total and I think I'm close to the end of the game... Like at the "One more main quest and then time to clean up all sidequests while you still can" close
But yeah, I have to avoid playing this now since my school work is getting insane because I've been playing this too much x-x;

I've been playing today for about four hours or so and I killed Maerwald and took control of the stronghold. And then I headed to Defiance Bay, recruiting Sagani on the way, and dealt with a wizard who was disguised as a drug dealer.
Good job, Obsidian.
Cool thing I just noticed: Your alternate weapon sets actually show up equipped to your character. So, like, if your main weapon is a sword, and you have a pistol for your secondary weapon, that pistol will show up on your character's belt when your sword is equipped.
Not-so-Cool thing I just noticed: None of the helmets match Eder's default armour. Meaning he will never wear a helmet in my game.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Okay, so I've been exploring Defiance Bay for a while, and I wanted to ask. Has anyone in Heritage Hill been able to kill Leyra and only Leyra in the Missing Sentries task? Apparently it's possible to kill only Leyra and spare the soldiers for a bigger reward, but the Enthralled Justiciars keep attacking me even after I've already killed Leyra.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Man. It really sucks that companions can't equip pets. Because I've been taking and buying every single one I come across and I feel kinda bad that I have to stuff all but one of them in my stash. And I really want, just, an entire pack of domestic animals following me.

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Basically, consensus is Obsidian has hit it out of the fucking park? Walk-off grand slam and all that?
As, expected, the writing in this game is great. Also as expected, I absolutely loathe the real-time-with-pause combat system. Keep your RTS out of my RPG, kthxbai. I would love to be able to just roll over the combat and get to the parts I actually like about this game.
Unexpectedly, there aren't as many bugs as Obsidian is known for.
Yeah, I'm a big fan of the fact that it seems like any build is viable in some way.
Wanna make a buff wizard? Do it. Want a smart Barbarian? Go ahead. You wanna
bardChanter that's not very charismatic? That's cool.edited 28th Mar '15 6:24:30 AM by Mukora
