I'm not sure whether or not I trust Lord Thor....er.....Tybur. He seems a little /too/ trust me I'm a good guy.

But I do like that Magath is basically sick and tired of how Marley does business, using the Eldians to fight their pointless and destructive wars.

Yeah I don't think the Tyburs can be remotely trusted. Though, it'd be kinda funny in a dark way if they genuinely wanted to make things better, and Eren and the SL's intervention screwed that over.

I think Magath is a pretty cool guy. Eh sees the reality of war and doesn't afraid of anything.

Choo-choo motherfuckers, Grim Reminder coming in hot!

[up]

Honestly, I hope not because that would honestly be the dumbest fucking thing Paradis could do. Sure, it would be satisfying in a cathartic revenge sort of way. But it wouldn't do anything to resolve their situation, and would actively make it worse. It would basically just convince the entire world that Paradis is an active and hostile threat as opposed to some mysterious, isolationist island far away.

Sure, in the short term they might be able to defend themselves. But it would basically just add fuel to the anti-Eldian flames, and the anti-Paradis flames in particular. And sooner or later, the world will have to technology to simply fly over the island and bomb it back into the stone age with nothing that Eren and Armin could do. Then their only option would be mutually assured destruction with the Wall Titans.

To put it into real world terms, it'd be like North Korea actually carrying out their threats to bomb South Korea. Yeah, there would be an immediate loss of life to the enemy.......but then they've painted a huge target on their back and basically convinced the rest of the world they need immediate killing.

Plus, we have Eren's growth into an Older and Wiser character that recognizes how horrible war is and that the people on the other side are the same as them.

I mean, not to be a complete wet blanket about things. But if Isayama remains consistent to the world-building we've been getting......that sort of tactic is the opposite of a good idea.

The conflict centers around how the world has negative opinions about the Eldians, and how Paradis is valuable because of the natural resources there. They are way behind the curve in technology, since their only access to modern-ish tech is the incredibly out-dated Marleyan Navy. I mean, they made a point of explaining how Marley's naval forces have been neglected and are woefully out of date.

Even assuming Paradis has a ton of geniuses working on new tech, they won't be able to catch up to the other nations that have advanced technology including heavy artillery, bomber planes, and the earliest developments of tanks.

The whole Grim Reminder thing people have been cheering for would basically just be them punching the monster once before they get eaten, out of pure spite. It's suicidal.

Reiner making an attempt on his life? Jeez, his life really sucks.

[up] No kidding.

And in a very tragic way, that would have solved his problem. He dies, the Armor goes to some random infant. Then Gabi wouldn't inherit the Armor, unless they were to like.....track down a baby and order her to eat it.

At the very least, shits going down at that festival one way or another. The question is, who shoots first?

[up] Yeah, exactly. It's a complete mess.

[up][up] Man, isn't that true? I have a feeling shit is going to fly soon, don't get me wrong. I'm just hoping that they're intelligent enough to realize that would be Young Eren levels of suicidal stupidity. Or....you know......Reiner levels of stupidity. Because that man has raised the bar in terms of poor choices, and stubbornly doubling-down on bad decisions.

Right now, I am personally very leery of Lord Tybur. His entire speech just seems......too good to be true. And history has taught us to be suspicious of authority figures.

Am I the only one sincerely hoping for some sort of meeting between Reiner and Eren that doesn't involve throwing punches? I feel both have grown so much over the years, and seem to have reflected on things. Plus the narrative pushing their similarities, and the bond that formed between them because of that.

So what's this devil thing Heros killed? It was only one hundred years ago so it's not the thing Ymir found. It also doesn't sound like a Titan Shifter.

That's impossible. That would mean Eren's been by himself for a good while and hasn't been captured.

Amputee-kun is nearly 100% Eren; he looks the part, he refers to a family he wants to tell he's "safe" and for some reason he cannot just send a normal mail, having Falco do it for him. Also, come on, Mr. Kruger?

Boy, Reiner has it rough. Anyway, Thor Tybur/Tieber looks suspicious as hell, but that just might be the way his eyes are smaller than the usual deal. Magath's old and tired, huh.

Now I have to wonder what plan does Paradis have in the first place, actually.

[up][up] We don't know for how long Amputee-kun has been around there. Eren may have infiltrated quite recently (maybe he just got in, which would just justify why he hasn't got into trouble yet). Plus, the appearance and (new) mindset match, and the name is a huge giveaway. Maybe he forged some documents proving he's Kruger's relative or something like that?

... And that's called jazz!

No, he said specifically that he claimed to have amnesia and couldn't find his way back home. In other words, he used the same tactic Grisha did to infiltrate Paradis. But unlike Grisha, infiltrating along with injured soldiers makes him seem much less suspicious.

The more I think about it the more this situation is so fucked up.

It's Eldians who rule, Eldians who fight the wars, and Eldians who are hated for ravaging other countries. The nation of Marley? A cruel joke. The Eldian Empire never really ended. The Marleyan people never successfully revolted and took seven of the titans, it was all handed to them by the Tybers. As Magath said, both that statue and their spirit are hollow.

If there was any shred of credibility to the idea of the ghetto residents becoming "honorary Marleyans" too, it is likely gone now. There was never such a thing, only the true rulers who've tricked their people into looking up to them while fearing and hating a middleman.

The chart's faces reminded me of how prevalent Empty Eyes have become among the cast. The biggest contrast by far is between Gabi's sparkling eyes and Falco's dull ones.

So yeah, Eren's the amputee. This eye is definitely his. Which is weird, as shifters never lose a limb for very long. Maybe he learned how to control the auto-heal…
