Wow, sucks for Iran. Doesn't make any sense either: how the hell is World Of Warcraft even qualify for that embargo? It's not like you could build cruise missiles or bombs out of it!
US Laws?
Then again, what's the exact policy of US towards Iran on trading anyway?
Give me cute or give me...something?Wow, just wow.
It's a pain when national politicking gets in the way of my fellow gamer's playtime.
I feel for you, brothers and sisters!
Given that trade embargoes have been applied to professional chess games, not much surprises me any more.
Politics is normally seen as very serious business. Video games and other forms of entertainment are usually not. Nothing new here.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)This will definitely get them to come to the table and stop being wackos. This is a critical resource they can't survive without.
...Well if some ruined games draw people's attention to the activities of their lying, hypocritical governments that operate on long broken systems in need of repair, then it's a good thing right?
Though I supposed government annoyance to abolishing electoral colleges, shutting up the president who insists his country attack Israel, putting more checks on the Ayatollah, prosecuting senators from spending more money than can be counted on campaigns and what not is a large jump to make. Its a start though.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackThe advisor advised the opposite tactic, saying "Imposing more sanctions on Iran would result in further radicalization, adding fuel to the fire of hard-liners and eventually marginalizing the democratic forces in Iran. Instead of sanctions, the West is better advised to support and promote the Iranian private sector, which is the engine of economic growth and social change."
That was bad and you should feel bad.
How can it be bad if it feels so good?
Well, that's not gonna help Activision-Blizzard in the least.
With regards to the embargo: really? I honestly thought the last country we embargoed was Cuba.

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelWhile I understand that people there "shouldn't" have subscribed in the first place, not refunding the preorders is unacceptable.
Plus it's counterproductive, as it carries a message of "Americans are capitalist bastards".

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."And you just realized that? Samsung wouldn't disagree with ya, 8-)
I'm just saying it's not a good idea to comfort Iranians in this opinion.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Wait, embargoes are still a thing? And that includes internet? Insanity.
Poor middle east, never get a break
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/Well... this is just bullshit.
I feel for you Iranian folks out there.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Well if government action hasn't been inspired yet, why don't we start up a boycott of blizzard and or its parent company in protest to the Iranian mistreatment?
Okay, maybe it should be directed at the US in general but I don't know exactly which US export we should be refusing to buy until they drop their nonsense over Iran. Any suggestions?
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackErm. Folks, I'm not sure why this blatantly political topic got started in the Video Games forum but it seems to be stretching the purpose. Aside from the link/discuss premise, this could easily have gone in the main WoW thread or, more properly, in a general OTC topic about Iran. Closing.
