Stacking them would probably be better. Except the guys on the left are goblins, which in Lot R is a subspecies of orc, but still... I'm not sure if we should use that image. Here's one of Lot R orcs: [1]◊
Anyway, this is what the image looks like stacked, at 275:

please don't capitalize my handle. I just don't like it.Could make for a wider collage, add to the above to include Warcraft orcs and Dungeons And Dragons Orks,
Third won't load for me.
In Middle-Earth goblins are the same as orcs, so that isn't an issue.
To emphasize the "different" how about a shot of Warcraft Orcs being heroic and/or religious?
For DND, how's this furry guy?◊

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere. Also the heroic/religious aspect would be great. Do you have any suggestions? I don't really see any in GIS. This one kind of looks heroic: [1]◊, but we'd need permission, and I have no idea how to contact the artist.
re: D&D orc, we'll probably need landscape for the collage if we're going with a 4-panel. (Unless of course we only use 3 pics, in which case it works.)

please don't capitalize my handle. I just don't like it.I think if you want heroic Warcraft orc, search by a character name. Thrall, or some other major shaman hero NPC.
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.I'm not familiar with Warcraft characters at all, so I just searched for heroic orc. Btw, a Warcraft orc (going by GIS, Thrall) is already used further down the page, but I think we could just get rid of that picture and merge it with this one. The Skyrim orc in that one could work, too.

please don't capitalize my handle. I just don't like it.I'd kinda like to keep the two types of orcs separated as they are on the page now, but we can tinker around with various arrangements and see how they work.
Just a coupla notes about the last coupla edits on the page - since the "Blizzard" orcs have their pic in their section, I moved the Tolkein-ish orcs pic back to that section pending the new pics being approved. Also, I restored the Gamorreans to the Film section...I only meant to cut the improper use of Spear Carrier and didn't pay attention to how the example was fitting the page.
I tried to put the LOTR/40K orc pics side-by-side and it looked as bad as the one on the page does now, so the version that's in post #2 is fine with me.
EDIT: Here's a stab at the Blizzard orcs...too similar to each other?

looks good, but I'm afraid both of them having greenish skin+mohawks/mohawk ponytails+tusks makes them a little too similar. I'm not all that strongly against the pic tho, it's definitely better than the current and I guess the Warcraft orc's exaggeratedness does distinguish him from the Skyrim orc somewhat after all.

I think that one works. #11 looks way too similar.
Check out my fanfiction!I don't really care for that one because it brings up the same problem that I created the thread for in the first place. If I get time later today, I'll try to make a different version of the second pic.
Is... Is that an orc wearing a green business suit?
You don't get much different than that.
I don't think you need to see that much details. You still see enough that they're different.
Check out my fanfiction! They're all various shades of green, though. I wouldn't specifically mention color as something that varies, in the caption; especially not right after calling them "greenskins".

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Clock is set.
Still waiting on that new version of the same pic you proposed :-P
Whoops...yeah, I kinda let that slip. It'll be tonight before I can do anything with it.
[1]◊
This might work. It contains from left to right: Warcraft, Dnd, and LOTR orcs.

I fixed the code; the IMG markup only works for pics that have been uploaded to the wiki. I've got the day off, so I'll try to work on the pics sometime this afternoon.
See post #28

The pics on Our Orcs Are Different are good, but I'd prefer that they be a little bigger so more of the fine details are visible. I'm thinking either find the same pics and make them in the same arrangements at 350 px (175 px each) or stacked arrangements at 250 or 275 px. Thoughts?
