Lib's Performance Adventures

By request from a certain someone, I hereby present recordings of my piano playing.

I am gathering repertoire for half a concert, so will continue to update.

For now, have some blues and some Satie.

That sounds beautifully amazing. You can really play well. This is going straight on my Ipod.

On the Lowside Blues: Nice, very nice. Is the delay at 0:44 intentional? If not, that's the only flaw I can see.

No, I've been playing it for a while.

I have however learnt Maple Leaf Rag over the past two days. I'm quite proud of that, even if my hands are killing me.

Ooh, Maple Leaf Rag is lots of fun to play. I've forgotten how to play it now, though (and I don't have the music anymore, bleh).

I wish I could use Youtube so I could listen. I'll be able to soon, and it sounds like I'm in for a treat.

If 4:11 is any indication, you need to get someone to turn the pages for you.

Seriously, though? It's great, but here's a little criticism - there seem to be some points where you pause inappropriately, e.g. at 0:59 / 4:36 / 4:43. Not sure if they're supposed to be part of the actual piece, but it's just something to watch out for.

Also, no wonder the piece reminded me of Septette for the Dead Princess:

Pyrite: Yes. The page turns should die; the pages have rps half way up them now from high-speed turning.

Hm, yeah. The points you mention are all included within the piece, but they do sound a little off, you're right. Thank you. I shall experiment.

@Libris As much as I despise being at the bottom of a page. I had to come on here to say that I think you're good. I hope you continue practicing. Perhaps, you'll become a professional musician someday. I think you have real talent.
