While I don't necessarily disagree, that's still Fan Myopia, or a variant of it.
That I disagree with. Well, aside from the last part, which kind of is the problem with the image.

Check out my fanfiction!I'm South African myself, and find the image amusing. We may not have Wendy's, Arby's or Burger King here, but I have heard of them, and even if I hadn't the presentation along with two recognisable characters seems to me to fairly well convey that the others are presumably mascots of other companies.
(I've also, I think, heard of Little Caesar, but that mascot is somewhat covered and otherwise not familiar to me in that depiction.
My Games & Writing<derail>I don't think this is a case of fan myopia - the characters in the picture are, IMO, obviously recognizable as mascots (their actual association does not really matter, but is a nice plus), and the picture composition looks like every other fighting game </derail>.
The problem with Mascot Fighter is that the name isn't indicative of the definition.
The name says: "Fighting Game featuring company mascots", but the description says "Four-player Fighting Game featuring platforming elements and item powerups."
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Might be an issue for Trope Repair Shop.
Moon◊Does this mean I can start a repairshop discussion based apon what jkbeta said?
If you think this trope has a bad name and/or description, go ahead. On the other hand, I don't see where my comments come in, so please enlighten me (PM if it's not thread-relevant).
Um, no, I think the name's okay.
This thread did nothing other than getting a better version of the current picture (and getting permission from the origional artist).
Can the mods please close this thread? I'm done here.
Done. Locking up.
Sorry, but I don't think pulling the image just because it would be hard to get if you live in a certain country is the way to go about things. Some jokes just don't work in certain cultures, but that doesn't mean that the joke shouldn't be told to anyone, particularly when a sizable portion of the userbase would get the joke.
Keep the image.
