There are waaay too many types on this page. Is there any need for the separation between Teen and Military (and miscellaneous)? I guess mental health could be something separate, but I'd vote to spin that into a new trope entirely, if it's distinct enough.

So I think all the examples should be merged together.

Actually, the problem is quite the opposite.

A TRS discussion last year agreed to cut examples and split the page because masturbation isn't a trope in and of itself. We made some new tropes, converted the page to an index and commented out the examples so people could sort them as necessary. Someone has since restored the examples.

Well, then I guess cut it is. Unless someone has a good reason to keep them?

Seeing that we already agreed to cut them, I don't think many people will argue to keep them. But perhaps we should keep this thread open until we've cleaned up the page's wicks, which we never did when we converted it to an index. Maybe even talk about renaming it.

I think we need to rename this to Masturbation Index. Asssuming that it's needed, but the examples need to go.

A quick look at the history shows that the person who restored the examples was unaware that it was discussed.

In any case, they should probably be blanked again. Possibly moved to a sandbox instead of being commented out. What should have been left on the page is a message saying it was blanked due to a TRS.

Made a crowner, hollered.

Denied. The crowner is inaccurate.

The reason someone restored the examples is because you never properly deleted them. They should never be commented out, especially if your edit reason doesn't cite TRS. They should be taken to discussion. Commenting them out causes confusion and wicks that aren't visible outside the source.

The reason the page still has wicks was because the previous TRS never cleared them. You cannot cite the name as a problem when the action decided in the previous thread was never properly carried out.

Third, removing the examples and cleaning the wicks does not require a crowner, as it was decided in a previous thread.

A half-finished job is worse than one that never started.

So we can delete the examples and wicks without a crowner? Sounds good to me.

So, sounds like the examples need to be deleted properly, and then we can close this thread. Any objections?

Okay, I pulled the examples, but every time I try and put them on the discussion page (like I've seen done before), it glitches. I'm guessing too much text. Anyway, I saved them in a text file, if we need them for whatever reason.

^ Perhaps limit the discussion addition to one media section per post? Does get a bit spammy, but it would break up the Wall of Text.

I guess that the page history serves the same purpose. Can we just close this?
