Misused: Just For Pun

The Just For Pun page is meant to be about trope names that are also puns. Each one contains the word the pun is based on. A pun is defined as "a joke exploiting the different possible meanings of a word or the fact that there are words that sound alike but have different meanings ."

With that in mind, here are some of the examples:

• Animal Wrongs Group ("animal rights group")
• Big Brato Fill ("big shoes to fill")
• Bridge Logic (Fridge Logic)
• Faux-To Guide ("How To Guide")
• Won'tTake"Yes"forAnAnswer ("won't take no for an answer")

These tropes aren't really puns- they're just generic wordplay. It may be in some language that the words "bra" and "shoes" sound similar, but it's not like that in English. These are only a few of the ones where the pun isn't really a pun. I was thinking we do example pruning...

I think this is an over-literal distinction to make. If we take thise tropes off of Just for Pun, we should make another index for "Trope Names Involving Wordplay That Isn't A Pun."

Or, rename this index to something about wordplay. Something that people won't misuse as a pothole for "pun," as they do "Just For Pun."

The misuse of Just For Pun stems from the time where Incredibly Lame Pun was in the Trope Repair Shop and someone put a tag on the page to pothole to JFP instead of ILP. A rename to something like Punny Trope Name might be indicated. I agree with Madrugada on the content issue though.
