Mass Effect - The Meta Complex sign-up and other nonsense

The galaxy has many stories to tell. Stories of heroism, villainy, glory and infamy. Stories that will be remembered for centuries. That is given some bastard/bitch with a Messiah Complex and Enkindlerdamn outside help chooses not to shoot the glowing space-jesus. The only problem with this is that s/he doesn't know that. Hell, s/he isn't even sure of his/her own gender. I mean, how fair is that to you? How can you be expected to live your life when the universe literally revolves around some Human Soldier you've probably never event met?\\ It's time to take action.
It's your story too god-damnit and you're ready to start telling it. How it'll be remembered well... that's something for the future generations to sort out ain't it?

Okay, I hope the preamble gives you some idea of how this is going to work.
The basic idea is that anybody interested will be playing a character in the Mass Effect universe, as we slowly work our way through the series as a whole. The major difference is that as a character, you are completely and utterly aware that you're in a game.
You might even know how it ends, but I want that to be discussed on a character-by-character basis.
I'm not sure there's much more to say here. I'll most probably be GM-ing by the seat of my pants, but I intend the characters (through a mixture of contrivance and player insanity) to end up in most of the locations Sheppard goes, at more or less the same time as him/her, starting from the Citadel. This is going to be just a bit of silly irreverance, where we have an excuse to talk tropes in character and poke lighthearted fun at the series.

Rules (other than the general RP standards):
* Characters must be minor, and can either be bit-parts from across the series or your own OCs.
* I like Mass Effect. You probably do to. We are not here to criticise the series, but to have some fun with it's universe and possibly discuss (heck, even celebrate) its crowning jewels and mind-numbing flaws.
* The characters will be working as a group. This is more just an outline than a rule, but still important to remember.
* No playing Geth until ME 2 (sorry).

Character Creation:
Basic format (which may be expanded based on suggestions) as follows:
* Name: Anything really. Just make sure it fits the character.
* Race: Again, any species from the games. Yes, even the Hanar. No playing Blasto.
* Age: Entirely cosmetic, but what the hell.
* Appearance: Just a couple of sentences or more. Picture links are nice if your character is in the games.
* Strengths/Weaknessess: Things you're good at, things you aren't. One of each, minimum.
* Biotic?: Yes/No. Give more detail above.
* Canon Status: What happens to your character by the end of the series? Note that if your character is slated to die, this can probably be changed. However, your character will not be aware of any information past their date of death.

And that's it. Any questions or whatever, just dump them here.

Name: Khalisa bint Sinant al-Jilani

Race: Human

Age: Late 20s/Early 30s, presumably

Appearance: A modestly attractive woman of vaguely middle-eastern descent who keeps her black hair cut to chin length. Nearly always seen wearing a tight fitting dress of some kind of spandex or pleather, as is the fashion of the day.

Strengths/Weaknessess: Talented at swaying an audience with a turn of phrase and reinterpretation of events. Not so good at keeping interview subjects calm.

Biotic?: No.

Canon Status: Gets punched by Shepard twice and headbutted once over the course of the game's events. Also rumored to have been punched by a krogan she was interviewing. That's about it.

And it's perhaps better if Shepard is a bit renegade, since that adds to her canon role.

Hmm, color me interested. One question; how do we define 'minor', by screentime or overall ability to affect the galaxy at large?

Because the quarian Admirals look interesting, and Xen gets so little screentime it's insulting.

Strength/Weakness: Is licensed to and adept at piloting a multitude of civilian and military vehicles, including but not limited to the X3M "Skycar", the X2M \"Skybike\"

, the M-29 "Grizzly" IFV, the M-35 "Mako" IFV, the M-44 "Hammerhead" IFV, the A-61 Mantis Gunship and all kinds of mechs (including ATLAS mechs and remote controlling YMIR mechs). In addition, he can pilot small civilian starships. However, he's useless without vehicular assistance.
Biotic: No.
Canon Status: Never appears.
