This is either excellent news or horrible news. Probably horrible.
yet the one movie that people WANT a sequel to, The Incredibles, hasn't been touched.

Done! (walks away)
YAY! IT'S TIME TO PLAY ANIMATION FANS FAVORITE GAME: PIXAR JUMPED THE SHARK! Get those score cards ready kids, and see quickly you can find these comments:
- The very idea of Pixar doing a sequel is nothing more than a cash cow and will suck horribly
- Judge the movie before it come out
- Blame it all on Disney even though Toy Story 3, Brave and Cars 2 were already in the works before the buy out
- mention how Cars 2 is worse than everything else ever
- Mention Brave even though it got mostly positive to mixed reviews
- Claim Dreamworks is going to crush Pixar
- Forget that Dreamworks are bigger sequel whores than Pixar will ever be
remember to come back to the beginning of the thread every so often to check your score!

This baffles me. Why? Nemo doesn't need a sequel. The whole point was to find the kid, and he was dound: the end.
To be fair, Cars 2 is worse than everything else ever.
But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.I would suggest you see Gnomeo and Juliet, but nothing could get me to recommend that filth to other people, even to prove a point.
I have to agree that Finding Nemo 2 seems really, really unnecessary.
I mean the plot of the original, is pretty much the title of the movie...
Exactly. I'd rather Pixar just made another original movie, frankly. I really don't see the point of this one.
No. No. Dear God, no.
Of all the Pixar movies that could use sequels, Finding Nemo is not one of them.
Looking for some stories?Well maybe on another planet,on Earth,Cars 2 isn't the worst thing,it's certainly better than Ratatouille
I hope this sequel gets canned ala Newt did, because this one does NOT need a sequel.
Why not? Why can't Nemo have another adventure?
They found Nemo. The story is, for all intents and purposes, over.
Why would Nemo need to find himself?

Looking for some stories?Exactly what kind of adventure can he have that hasn't been covered in the multitudes of other films that take place under the sea?
Really, Finding Nemo could have a sequel in the same way as Toy Story. The 1st Toy Story ended with complete closure, but still had a terrific sequel. The only reason people are freaking out about this is because everybody is chomping at the bit for Pixar to fail cause Cars 2 wasn't that good.

For me, there's also the fact that I didn't like Cars of Finding Nemo to begin with.
And then Toy Story 2 also ended with full closure, but they STILL managed to crank out yet another sequel that people enjoyed.
I'm fine with this. It's been 10 years since they made the original, so it's not as if they're saying 'hey, this movie was popular, let's make another one!' the way a lot of Sequelitis movies are made. It seems pretty clear that they finally found a story they like that they think does a good job revisiting the world and the characters.
Plus, it's not as if sequels are they only things they're making. This year they had Brave, in two years they have the Dinosaur movie (right? Or am I off on that?). And there's another new story even further down the line. If they're sticking to their "Sequels aren't bad, but we don't make them unless we have a good story to tell for them" thing, then I have no problem with them coming back 10 years later to tell us another story with Marlin, Dory, and Nemo.
As for The Incredibles, they very well may not be making a sequel to that yet because 1) Brad Bird is busy with other projects right now and they respect him enough to not move forward with a sequel until he's ready to get on board with one 2) They haven't figured out a story they think would be good enough and do justice enough to the original in order to justify making a sequel yet.
I'm sure they'd like to make another Incredibles movie, things just aren't right for it at the moment.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
... Well.
I am okay with this. I adore Finding Nemo, and I have great faith in Pixar to make movies that are, at the very least, highly entertaining. They've never disappointed me before.
Though I haven't seen Brave yet, so for all I know it's terrible, though I highly doubt it.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton! It's not their best work, but considering how good their work usually is, it's still far better than most movies that hollywood churns out most the time. It's certainly not terrible by any stretch.

They really don't need to make a sequel to Finding Nemo. It was a good, solid movie that wrapped up everything it set out to at the end.

You know if I still watched/cared about Pixar's movies, I'd probably be raging right now.
