The description says this is the sister trope of Only Shop in Town, but it doesn't seem to be in practice. The Marvel comics example where there seem to only be two law firms in all of New York City applies, as would The Simpsons (not listed) where the blue-haired lawyer and either Lionel Hutz or Gil, depending on the season, are apparently the only lawyers in Springfield, but I don't think that's really a separate trope from the shop one and that's not what the trope description says or most of the examples.

The description says it's about the firm at the center of the show. If the main characters work for said firm, of course all the cases will involve the firm. People who go to other law firms aren't going to be on the show unless their opponent hires the main one. It makes no sense to wonder why no one ever gets a different firm in these circumstances, unless you are talking about how these lawyers seem not to specialize and do everything from child custody to capital murder cases, but we already have that trope under The Main Characters Do Everything.

Just the idea of a law firm at the center of the show is not a trope. This is inevitable in any Law Procedural which isn't about government attorneys.

You're right, not tropeworthy, for all the reasons you mentioned.

So can we get a crowner to cut this?

I would suggest creating an Internal Subtrope within Only Shop in Town to include any logical, non-shop examples - if there even are any - to avoid more attempts at logically unsound tropes like this.
