Kinda makes sense, because as websites which host stupid memes (Youtube is the worst offender) grow, they require more and more servers which require more and more energy. Nearly 10 years ago I have seen a prediction that "if internet will continue to grow like this, after 25 years all energy produced on Earth will be consumed only by internet; right now one Second Life player consumes as much energy as an average citizen of Brazilia".

Global warming is being perpetuated by air conditioner manufacturers to sell more air conditioners.

It's because of music becoming so much more accessible over the past 100 years, the speakers of the device playing the music makes the air vibrate, which makes it heat up because of friction, leading to global warming.
