I didn't see anything like that on the Character list, so...

I distinctly remember Misty saying she's not reading Jump City because she's waiting for the moment Captain America is unfrozen.

Don't know if that means she's going to play him. You'd do better actually asking her.

Not to mention the Cap is the only low-level super weight category character that's offlimits due to story reasons. Mysty's allowed to play her because she's such a hardcore Captain America fangirl.

Ah. Well, I'm a hardcore Captain America fanboy, but if he's offlimits, then that's fine. Are Green Arrow or the Doom Patrol up for grabs?

Green Arrow, yes, although the only thing he has done in the RP so far is show up as Oliver Queen and support the rebuilding and updating of Xavier's school with money.

Doom Patrol, I don't think so, but you can only pick one character, so I doubt you could pick the entire group (the only exception we've made is the Metal Men, which without each other aren't the Metal Men, whilst each member of Doom Patrol has gone on to do other things by themselves).

Oh, sorry. Thanks. Well then, I guess I'll be using him. I'll get a Character Sheet up soon.

Also, there's a change to him I'd like to make, but I want to make sure it'll fly. I want to have Green Arrow lose his money, like he did in the comics for a while. (And apparently, he lost it all again just recently.) I'd likely cover that in my first RP post, then go from there.

If I may:

What Strato is trying to say is, you can play as Green Arrow. Just keep in mind that the character has done a couple of things in the game already, just so we have a lil' continuity there.

EDIT: Interesting idea for the guy there. Could potentially be doable.

As for Doom Patrol, the official rule is you can play as a team if they are so cohesive they can be thought of as a character in and of themselves. The Metal Men, the Power Pack, or hell, even the Fantastic Four might apply, sooo...I guess the Doom Patrol could be admitted. But if you go with them, keep in mind you'll be keeping track of multiple characters at once, potentially going off in all different directions.

As for Captain America, not to give anything away, but he may be unthawed fairly soon. When that day comes, you and Mysty can discuss who gets to play him, 'kay?

I don't think you could classify the Doom Patrol as a character. Pretty much every character has gone on to do solo things- Mal Duncan, Negative Man, Bumblebee- unlike the Metal Men who have no reason to be doing anything outside the Metal Men, in my opinion. Plus, the Doom Patrol is seven characters, some of which could be used for separate things (Beast Boy comes to mind, for one).

No offense to kk, but... isn't that a bit unfair? Ever since Jump City was a thing, Misty talked about how she wanted to play Cap. She's not following the thread just so she can have the same experience as the guy. I'm not the biggest defender of seniority, but in this case I gotta use it.

Huh? No, I'd only be using the original DP'ers; The Chief, Robotman, Larry, and Elastigirl. (With maybe a bit of Mento on the side. I'd also use Beastboy, but if I can't, it's no big loss.) Basically, I'd be using the original core membership.

I was just thinking of how the original group- Robotman, Negative Man, Elastigirl and the Chief -were pretty close knit back in their day. But then again, they've pretty much had a revolving door roster since then.

@Stratofarius. We'll see. I think for now, I'll start with Green Arrow in the main JA thread, and then after getting used to the RP, I can add in the DP into Jump City. I'll make sure to still create their Character Sheet soon though; when I'm ready to add them in, their sheets will already be right there.

Considering DP is weirder, yeah, they fit more in Jump City.

Also, this gives me and Liz more rogues to work with in Jump City. Liz, docs, would you kindly?

• Name: Green Arrow
• Real Name: Olivier Queen
• Gender: Male
• Age: Late 30's
• Appearance: Respect the beard.◊
• Alignment: Good
• Personality: Green Arrow is a somewhat volatile and temperamental sort. Generally, he's filled with spit&vinegar; he can be calm and fun-loving one minute, and the next, he can be breathing down your throat. He has something of a hair-trigger temper. But most importantly, Arrow is (or if not now, will soon become,) extremely liberal. Like the legend that he draws his sthick from, Green Arrow fights for the little guy, and does his best to bring down the 'fat cats' up top. Of course, as things stand now, Arrow himself could be called hypocritical, seeing as he is a 'fat cat', though that's likely to change very soon...
• Powers and Abilities: Green Arrow himself has no special powers and abilities, but he makes up for this with an unparalleled skill in the bow, with not many who could rival him. He also has a variety of trick arrows in addition to his normal ones. At the top of his hat, he has Boxing Arrows, Net Arrows, Magnetic Arrows, Flare Arrows, and even Explosive Arrows. He also has some, if minor, knowledge in engineering, seeing as he's able to create all of those fancy arrows himself.
• Origin: Olivier Queen used to just be a philanthropic playboy, whiling away the days in business and pleasure, and not caring one whit about the common man. Things changed one day on a private cruise in the ocean. All seemed calm and right with the world, especially in the bosom of his latest 'catch of the day', though he must have been too concerned with his own pursuits to notice the darkening clouds overhead. Eventually, a storm began to brew, and before Olivier knew it, he was tossed headlong into the sea.
• When Olivier woke up, he found himself on a deserted island. At first, he wasn't sure just what to do, but after feeling his stomach growl once or twice, he remembered some old archery lessons that he took as a boy. Managing to fashion a bow and some arrows from various resources lying around, Olivier soon found himself picking off breakfast, lunch, and dinner with ease, and against all odds, he managed to keep it up for an entire year. During this time, Olivier became a savant with the bow, but more importantly, he learned what it was like to live; to have to fend for one's self, against all odds, with no money or stockholders to fall back on. Eventually, he was finally saved by a passing cruiseship, though not without some complications. Before Olivier could even so much as step foot on the boat, it was taken hostage by a group of modern day pirates. Not wanting his ride home to be endangered, Oliver applied some facepaint over his eyes before using skill and stealth to soundly defeat the pirates. For whatever reason, he didn't want to give his true identity away, and snuck off the boat and removed the facepaint before returning, with no-one seeming to recognize him. Either they were oblivious, fooling themselves, or both.
• In any case, Olivier eventually made his way back to civilization, and wasted no time in getting back to his company. Inspired by his time on the island, Olivier has taken to dressing up in robin-hood inspired garb as the Green Arrow, defender of the downtrodden and depressed! Well, sort of. While he does put in some effort to help those who can't help themselves, donates to charity and the like, (he even gave some money to the Xavier Institute at one point!) etc., he'd done these things mostly for the thrill of it, and/or to keep up his Robin Hood shtick. But very soon, all of that's going to change...
• Miscellaneous: His favorite food is chili, particularly his own special homebrewed batch. It's spicy enough to be weaponized against Captain Cold!◊

In fact, I think it might just be good enough to say Accepted on that. The current page of the game is here. Not much going on right now, though there is a flashback-type episode describing the busting of a gang meeting. Also, don't hesitate to check out the discussion thread, to meet the rest of the player crew.

On the other hand, I don't care as much for the "Radical" version of Green Arrow, I always found him too whiny (but admittedly he starred in many good stories.)
