Sano: Quite so. We have an intergalactic racoon mercenary in our ranks. The only thing stopping me from letting in a bright red t-rex that spoke like a sir was conspicuousness.
Moerin: We can always have the characters start off fairly weakened for some reason, and then increase their strength over time. Hell, if I can allow a character in as powerful as Jamie Reyes' Blue Beetle, either of those Marvels are fine by me.

Hmmm, okays, I can work with them being nerfed a bit... If I can't think of anything else, I'll probably go with one of the Marvels, yeah. If I go with Mary, would be it okay to make her something of a Composite Character with her brother? I just don't want to screw up anything anyone might have planned beforehand involving Captain Marvel, is all.
Also, hopefully no-one will be upset if I try to magical girlify the Shazam mythos, ahah~ Um, seriously, if anyone does have a problem with that, please let me know before I start actually doing that. >.<
Don't worry, I'll let you know if it's too much.
Matter of fact, I was hoping someone would come along with one of the Big Red Cheese family. The only Captain Marvel in the game's universe so far is Captain Mar Vell.
Mind you, if you're worried about girlifying the Shazam mythos, it should be noted that DC has had their own explicit magical girl. One of the Ur-Examples, in fact. Don't ask me how I know of her.

I'd actually considered Amethyst, to be honest, but the fact that it's nigh-impossible to get a hold of any of her comics makes it a little difficult to figure out what to do with her.
...Mind you... Could always give her an Ultimate Universe style makeover... Hmmm, guess that's something else to consider.
...Yep◊, definitely something to consider. But we'll see how things turn out.
Hey, Amethyst has a new ongoing again and was supposed to get her own shorts on DC Nation.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyThe point is, either choice is equally fine in my book.

...And they also apparently just recently released the whole classic series as a Showcase Presents TPB. Um... Huh, guess I'd better put in an order for that, because I'd been waiting for that for a while.
But, um, yeah. Guess I'll have to think about this, but at least I know I'm going to be polluting the superhero crossover with magical girls, eheh~
Certainly not 'polluting'. One cola can sitting on the grass does not an entire pollution make.

@Moe: You sure you want to go with a DC character? Marvel is pretty understaffed at the moment.
"Well before, I did it with reckless abandon. Now I can't control myself!" ~ Jesse Cox, 2014Yeah, that was the other reason I was a little unsure about taking one of them, since... Yeah. Problem is that most of the Marvel characters I'd want to use are, um... Probably not well suited for this kind of thing, honestly.
Ah, yes, there is that. Still, I don't have a problem with your possible characters. I don't suppose you know any other Tropers who could join as Marvel-ites?
Can't really help you there, unfortunately. Sorry about that.
...Anyways, um... Not sure how well this turned out, but... Here we go. I, for whatever reason, decided that I wanted to keep it vague as to whether Gemworld actually existed or was just part of Amy's fantasies, but we'll see how well that works out. >.< And... For some reason my mind is telling me that I'm pretty much just making this a mash-up of what I know about Amethyst and Magic Knight Rayearth. But we'll see how well that works out too. >.<
- Name: Amethyst Princess Of Gemworld!
- Real Name: Amy Winston
- Gender: Female
- Age: 13
- Appearance: Pictured in the (quite clearly fictional) Gemworld◊.
- Alignment: Good
- Personality: Well-meaning and very dedicated to the cause of good, but very commonly falls into amateur dramatics and overacting. She is prone to wild delusions, such as the claim that she is really the princess of an alternate dimension of magic who, in this "Gemworld", possesses far greater power than she does on Earth. Not only that, but she seems to take the magical girl tradition of overly dramatic speeches prior to battle. Aside from her overall strangeness, she's a rather pleasant young girl, polite and friendly to all but the most abhorent of villains.
- Powers and Abilities: Amethyst possesses great reserves of magical power, and given time could easily rank amongst the most powerful magic users in the world. However, for whatever reason she is unable to utilise most of her power (she claims that she is leagues more powerful whilst in Gemworld, but as that is clearly little more than a childish delusion it certainly cannot be true), and so her magic is mostly limited to energy blasts (mostly just powerful enough to knock an opponent down), forcefields (strong enough to protect her from superstrength powered attacks and mundane arms fire) and flight.
- Weapons and Equipment: Amethyst possesses a Jewel Sword and Gem Shield, which she respectively uses to channel her offensive and defensive magic. Apparently, due to Earth having a far lower level of ambient magical energy than Gemworld, it is much more difficult for her to actually use her magic without assistance.
- Origin: The princess of a magical alternate dimension called Gemworld... Or so she says. It's possible that Gemworld only exists in her wild imagination, although according to her she was recently transported there, learned of her true heritage and defeated a vile tyrant who threatened the peace of the magical world. Whether or not this is all part of some delusional daydream of hers is unknown, but what is clear is that she is an especially powerful magic user, something she takes advantage of to act as a superhero.
Regarding the silliness level of the game: Deadpool is fine by me, but I swear, if there are any Nextwave references, I shall counter with the Inferior Five! You have been warned!
As for Mary Marvel, I have no problem except for the "Who gets to keep the Marvel name, the Marvel characters or the DC ones?" argument. But that's minor; she can always be named Shazam Girl or something.
Oh and as a longtime Amethyst fan, you can count on my help if needed with her character.
I'll keep that in mind, ahah. Not entirely sure why I decided to go with Amethyst when I've never read any of her comics, though, so, um... Might screw this up horribly. >.< I do really like what I've heard about the series, though (at least the original miniseries), so... Hopefully this will work out somehow.
It's OK, I like your interpretation. (And considering the stuff DC did to the original character, I doubt you can screw her up worse.)
Note: I have not seen the New52 version of Amy yet, so I cannot comment on it, though given my overall impression of the reboot I'm not expecting much.)
........why do I get the feeling the heroes are going to be thrust into Gemworld sometime in the future? Possibly to stop somebody like Dr. Doom or MODOK from using science to harness the magic of that realm?
"Well before, I did it with reckless abandon. Now I can't control myself!" ~ Jesse Cox, 2014Accepted. As per my increasingly stupid rule, she can come in next In-Game day.

@Lizard: It's still morning in-game, right? Maybe you can let new players enter if the current game day has only just started, so they're not left out in the cold for what could end up being a long wait (see: previous game day )?
Peace. Pace. Sanity. Check out my DeviantArt! ^_^Huzzah~! Guess all I have to do now is wait.
...Hopefully if it ever comes to that, by that point I'll have actually read some of the comics, ahah~ Would be pretty awesome, though.

...Uh...
You know what, frag it, you can play her now! Put her in quick, before I change my mind!

To be clear, if Rogue ever ended up borrowing Amethyst's powers, she would also borrow Amethyst's belief in Gemworld whether it was real or just the delusion of Amethyst... meaning that even Rogue couldn't confirm anything beyond Amethyst believing that Gemworld exists.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyWe may have a problem in that Access can detect alien presences, including magical ones like Raven's. So if Amy was born in another dimension, he should be able to tell right away. Though I suppose we could say that her magic that comes from an extradimensional source so he can't tell for sure.
PUT HER IN GOTHAM!!!
"Well before, I did it with reckless abandon. Now I can't control myself!" ~ Jesse Cox, 2014
Well, being a little too silly is half the reason I'm not sure about those ideas. The other half is they're kind of sort of really powerful and it might not be a good idea for me to pull them in.
...That and I have the feeling I'd get crucified if I made Black Adam look like evil Mary Marvel.
