So it's a movie about anthropomorphic cats? That's, like, normal for japan. I don't see where you're getting "crazy" from.

Anyway, that is some nice-looking animation.

A movie about anthropomorphic animals is normal for pretty much everywhere.

The designs look the same as Night on the Galactic Railroad.

Not Three Laws compliant.

Cats?

Who would want to watch a movie about cats!

From the title, I figured this would be about a live action movie cast with actual cats.

I mean, that would be pretty crazy.

...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.

Looks adorable, which pretty much means I doubt anyone will bother to bring it over.

I see a thread about a JAPANESE film and play the video expecting to see some very Japanese companies amidst the Japanese characters in the comments. ..... and get a WARNER BROTHERS VANITY PLATE! What the ***!!

I can't really see why this movie of all things is supposed to paint Japan as 'crazy'. I mean, Disney has been making billions of anthropomorphic animals. Including cats.

Frankly, if I were Japanese, I might be a little offended at the double standard displayed in the topic title.

So yeah, as for the movie itself, nice animation, cute character design, that's always a good start.

It's not the fact that the movie is about cats that makes the Japanese crazy. It's just that Japanese people are crazy (I mean they don't even like bell peppers WTF?) and they also made a movie about cats. tongue

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.

[up]I wanted the title to attract people's attention! Otherwise everyone would have looked past it.

Almost mundane for Japan, maybe a bit interesting for the rest of the world but that is no way crazy.

Huh, I didn't know that this was an adaptation of an Osamu Tezuka work until I saw some tangentially related video.

I generally find it annoying when people complain about weirdness of Japan because 1) Its not like Japanese consider the weird stuff to be "normal" in "normal" way, sure it is common, but not normal 2) USA is just as weird. Actually, every country is just as weird tongue

[up][up]Huh, well then.

[up]Well, Klark did say he titled the thread as such to get more people to take a look. As irksome as that is, it worked, probably.
