Wincing slightly at Sparkman's untimely end, Justin wondered why she wanted him to summon Avian. It wasn't like he was any stronger than Dunker... maybe it had something to do with Sarah's other face down card? Well, at least he knew what not to summon... then again, did he really need too?
"All right, then! Necroshade, attack!" Justin declared, the dark-type hero rushing forward to slam dunker straight to the grave yard.
Assuming that went off without a hitch, Great Tornado would follow suit, going for a direct attack.
Shielding herself from the aftermath of Dunker's destruction and Tornado's direct attack, Sarah winced. This wasn't going as planned at all. There were maybe two or three cards in her deck that could help in a time like this, the duel was pretty much over.

"Nope, that's my turn ended." Justin replied, grinning widely. His advantage was simply overwhelming! He'd never experienced such a thing before! Only one more turn...

Looking at her next draw did nothing to improve Sarah's outlook on the duel. She might as well surrender at this point...
...Unless...It would just be a stall tactic, but it might buy her enough time...a slight smile appeared on her face, it was worth a shot.
"I'll activate my face-down card, The Warrior Returning Alive to add Destiny Hero - Dunker to my hand!" she announced, taking the monster back from her graveyard, "Then I'll use Heavy Storm to destroy your Future Fusion! Say goodbye to your Great Tornado!"
A strong gust of wind washed over the field.
"Now I'll set a monster and end my turn."

Sophia pointed her thumb behind her back.
"The bar's over there, there is food and drinks there," she said. "It's free, the expanses are covered by the Academy. As to your second question... It's roughly a half-an-hour flight from here, since we're using the jet, but the ride might get bumpy at times."

Sophia scratched her cheek.
"Uhm... I've no idea, really. Let me check," she said. She took her cellphone out again and dialled a number, conversing shortly with the person at the other side.
"Well, you should've done that before you entered the lounge," she said, "but we can take care of that once we get to the academy."
Art saw that Caramon had emerged victorious, and supposed that much of a lead was a difficult thing to overcome for a deck like Jacques'.
This was building up to be an interesting year.
E-Hero kid was still dueling the Destiny Hero duelist, but it looked like the kid had the advantage.

He looked at the last duel that was going on "E-Heroes vs D-Heroes? Should be interesting but those D_heroes are not in a good place right now."

Well, it was fun not looking like a total loser while it lasted... though Jacques, looking at the floating machine spirit before him.
For a second, nothing seemed all together different about Gamma and Jacques' worries seemed unfounded. For a second.
"Jackie!!" squeed the robot as it leapt off the throne to try and 'hug' Jacques. The voice was noticeably feminine and sounded around his age, maybe a year younger. "It's been so long! Did you miss me, muffin?"
Not long enough, thought Jacques, sighing. "Listen here Gamma, you are not my girlfriend; you are a Duel Spirit. Stop calling me 'muffin' and 'Jackie', okay?"
The duel spirit stopped for a brief moment.
"Sorry, Jackie-poo, but I can't stop my feelings for you! Who cares if I'm a hologram? It doesn't make my emotions less real!"
It kind of does, by definition... Jacques merely glared at the robot in front of him.

Hearing what was happening with Jacques, Sigmund burst out laughing "So that's why you were so worried? I must admit I find this situation rather humourous." He looked at his duel spirit by his side and lowered his voice "Well then allow me to introduce my little friend the Dark General Freed."
Freed nodded at them both "It's a pleasure to meet you both. Mr Jacques, Ms Gamma. I did not see this coming I must say."
"You can say that again."
"Indeed. I did not see this coming. And we duel spirits are not holograms we are the souls of the monster that has transcended realm barriers and allowed ourselves to manifest to those in this realm to those sensitive to the energies and that allows us to be seen by them."
"Narcissistic smartass. See what he's like? Well we are in the same dorm so I suppose we should get to know each other as should our duel spirits." He offers his hand to Jacques.

Caramon's confusion obviously increased for a moment, before a realization spread across at the phrase "Duel Spirit".
"Oh. You are speaking to spirits who accompany you. Hmmph."
He crossed his arms, and stood awkwardly, unsure of quite what to do next, given the conversation turn, and that at least 2 of the participants were undetectable to him.

"Not sure he can see or hear ya Freed." Sigmund turns to Caramon "But yes I am talking to duel spirits. I am not, contrary to popular belief, insane."

Seeing two of his dorm mates introducing themselves and their duel spirits, Roxas walked over to do the same.
"Hello, I am Roxas Lionheart and I believe that we are all in the same dorm. This is my good friend Rainbow Dragon."
A loud roar filled the air, announcing the Dragon's presence by Roxas's side.

Caramon shrugged.
"Never said you were. I am aware of the Duel Spirit phenomenon, and given the significant amount of duelists who have reported near identical things, even using said spirits to transfer information that they couldn't know without being told, I see no reason to disbelieve their existence."
"That doesn't mean I like them though. I find the idea of having things that I can't detect around rather....disconcerting."
He sighed as Roxas showed up.
"Oh, wonderful. Another one. My name's Caramon."

Peter, while still doing him best to maintain a clam exterior, was positively fuming on the inside. Stupid girly robots and dark warriors and jewel dragons, making me notice their existence.
He choose to sharply focus his attention on the Hero vs. Hero duel in order to keep his mind of the faint shaking in his deck that he recognized as a subliminal laugh from his own duel spirit. The jerk was enjoying this situation too much!

"Aw, crap." Justin muttered as his Future Fusion was destroyed, and Great Tornado along with it. That left them both with just one monster on the field. Well... not for long.
"Looks like I managed to win, after all!" Justin laughed, drawing his next - and hopefully final - card. Then Justin summoned his next monster.
"Come on out, Clayman!" Justin announced, the large golem appearing next to Necroshade.
With a victorious grin, Justin ordered Necroshade to attack the face-down monster, then for Clayman to deliver the finishing blow. Unless it somehow wasn't destroyed.

As Necroshade's attack connected, the masked basketballer appeared again. This time, kneeling with his arms crossed in a defensive pose. He took the hit, seeming completely unfazed.

"Haha! That worked better than expected." Sarah stated, her smile growing, "So, anything else?"

Well, there was his ineptness showing, and at the worst possible time. Justin really should have memorised that thing's defence when he had the chance. Not that it would have mattered much, he currently had nothing that could overpower its defence.
"Um... looks like I'll have to end my turn here." Justin laughed.
Okay... don't worry too much. Justin told himself. Clayman will be safe, she can't attack without losing the rest of her life points. I just need to draw the right card, and I have plenty to choose from in my deck...

"Alright then, my turn!"
This was it. This was her chance to turn this duel around. All she needed was a good card. Sarah drew.

"Looks like a stalemate, huh?" Justin laughed. "Hopefully we can resolve this before we leave for the Academy."
With that, Justin drew his next card. Not something that would win him the duel, but...
"I'll place one card face down, then switch Clayman to defence mode and end my turn!"

"Haha, I'm sure one of us will break it soon." the girl replied.
Drawing again, she looked at the state of things. Maybe she could make a push now, but if Justin drew just about any monster, he'd win right there. Best to wait another turn or two.

"Hopefully." Justin nodded, and drew his next card. His smile grew as he glanced at Sarah. "Looks like I'll be the one to break it! I activate polymerisation!"
Placing the magic card into his disk, Justin continued, "I'm gonna fuse Necroshade and Clayman together! Come forth, Elemental Hero Escuridao!"
The two heroes began to fuse and twist together into a bright light, and after a moment, reformed into a dark, spindly being.
"Escuridao's ability is to gain one hundred attack points for every Elemental Hero in my graveyard." Justin informed his opponent. "Which brings my monster's attack up to thirty one hundred!"
As Escuridao powered up, Justin placed a new monster on the field. "And next up, I'll normal summon Avian!"
The green, feathered hero appeared on the field, much to the significantly more powerful Escuridao. With thee two monsters, Justin could win!
"Escuridao! Destroy that Dunker!" Justin ordered, and the dark hero rushed forward, clawed hand outstretched. Once Dunker was destroyed, Justin could attack directly with Avian to win the duel...
Sarah's heart sank as the fusion monster appeared on the field. Yep. That'd do it. She sighed and watched as Dunker was torn apart before raising her hands in a half-hearted defence against Avian's attack.

Sigmund pulled a wallet out of a concealed pocket on the inside of his coat and tugged at the coat "This is one of the other reason I wear this thing. Lots of concealed pockets." He opened up the wallet and took out one of the many twenty pound notes that were sticking out and handed it to peter "Here ya go." he said as he closed the wallet and stuck it back in his inside pocket "I always keep my word and I lost the bet so take the money. This is why I love betting the thrill of losing at any moment. Maybe I should see a councillor about that."
He looked at Sophia "You said transport was en route didn't you? Any idea how long it'll take to get us there once it arrives? I mean is it like a half hour flight, two hours? Also is there any where I can go buy a drink and some food I'm famished as border security wouldn't let me bring my sandwiches with me. Thank you very much in advance."
