I feel like if Ob gets his spark back, it would be in the next block, though it might be here.
If so, that leaves the third to be yet another Nissa.
yayyyyy... -_-

''The eternal question of reality, it still stands today.''EDIT: Never mind, misread.
I'm hoping that the new Kiora has some ability that evokes Theros.

For green it's really just Nissa now because Garruk f**ked off.
The next block will definitely have a new green planeswalker though.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Interesting that Drowner of Hope makes Eldrazi Scions rather then Eldrazi Spawn. wait nvm im just completely not up to date with the new stuff for this set

Isn't it mostly Scions in this set?
Yeah, the Spawn got upgraded to Scions for Battle. I don't think there's going to be any Spawn tokens in Battle at all.
I really like how they're adapting shocklands to a new setting. I kind of wish I could actually ever consider getting my hands on them, but... c'est la vie.
And yeah, godless shrine in particular is really nice.
''The eternal question of reality, it still stands today.''Flavor works great. It's an unholy shrine dedicated to the Eldrazi. We know there are still people on Zendikar who worship them as gods even after their awakening.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I assume most of the prayers are variants on "please, please leave us alone".
You'd be surprised at the number who actually recognize them as mighty destroyers and consumers of all that is touched by their noodley appendages.
EDIT: I also wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that the 'shrine' itself was built before the Eldrazi were set free.

Yeah, probably a remnant of the religion Nahiri found when she woke up.
Wow. That is some impressive artwork there. I whistled out loud when I saw it.
And yes, there are definitely people who worship the Eldrazi knowing full well what they truly are. In fact, Jace met some of them in the last Uncharted Realms.
Also, the weekend of the prerelease just happens to be the same weekend that Pope Francis is going to be in town, which could make getting around the city quite difficult. Fortunately, my usual game shop is nowhere near downtown, so I shouldn't have too much trouble getting to the prerelease. I hope...

The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.I recommend planning for extra time to get to the shop, just to be on the safe side.
Also, I hear there's currently some people trying to get the new dual lands nicknamed "Tango Lands". I, for one, heartily approve of the idea.
I am also a staunch supporter of the tango lands movement. Quite catchy.
''The eternal question of reality, it still stands today.''On the subject of land nicknames, does this very similar cycle from Innistrad and various core sets have a nickname?
Checklands.
Thank you.
Aw, Obby got his spark back! :)
And Kiora... is also there, I guess.

''The eternal question of reality, it still stands today.''I like the new Kiora art. Her actual card...I'm more 'meh' towards.
It's one of those weird situation where I wish there were an easy way to combine her new art with her old card.
The first Battle for Zendikar preview week has begun!
Feature: Converging on Zendikar, Bring to Light
Making Magic: Preparing for Battle, Part 1, Desolation Twin
Level One: "Creature" Lands, Lumbering Falls
Arcana: The Promos of Battle for Zendikar
- Scythe Leopard (Gift Box)
- Ruinous Path (Buy-a-Box)
- Blight Herder (Release)
- Stasis Snare (Full Art, Game Day)
- Radiant Flames (Full Art, Game Day Top 8)
Well, I just found out what I'm going to replace the set ofBanishing Light in my main deck with when they rotate out of Standard.
Also, according to Mark Rosewater, Lumbering Falls is part of a cycle that will be split between the two sets in the block.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.I really enjoy Kiora's ultimate ability, even if it's not the most powerful. "Have some OCTOPI!"
Also, Ob getting his spark back without destroying Zendikar is an interesting development. Dare I hope he's (somehow, for some reason) number 5 in the Gatewatch?
(Though it's looking like there just might not be a fifth. There are Eldrazi devoid creatures using mana of every color except for white, so maybe the Gatewatch will be the reverse?)
edited 7th Sep '15 1:09:58 PM by Durazno
Maybe the fifth member of the Gatewatch is Ugin?
Odds are that we're not getting a Nissa, Chandra, and Jace in Oath, so if there is in fact a fifth Gatewatch member we're likely not getting a card of them anyway.
Ugin kicks Sorin off the anti-Eldrazi team for reasons that include messing up with the Nahiri situation and forms the Gatewatch to replace the former team.
Sorin may or may not be allowed back on the team if - and only if - he can recruit Nahiri to join and Nahiri is ok with him being a member.
Ob's on the booster art for Battle, for what it's worth.
As is Kiora.
We've seen Gideon's card, we wouldn't have Kiora on a booster pack if she wasn't in the set so we're effectively guaranteed get a Planeswalker card for her in the set, likely a new one.
Unless they switch up Planeswalker numbers for the set or the block, that's either two or three of the three planeswalkers for the set, depending on if Ob is still a legendary creature or he's gotten his spark back.
