Shamelessly ripped off of Fate/oath alternative (with permission, mind you; check the link for the basic rules and stuff), welcome to the Mega Crossover edition of the Holy Grail War! As per usual, mighty heroes are summoned to battle for the omnipotent wish-granting vessel known as the Holy Grail, but rather than selecting legendary heroes from the past this war is fought by heroes from all over fiction. Your Servants can be based on any fictional character within reason. Like Fate/oath alternative, this war shall be overseen by a Servant of the Ruler class; in this case, the Supreme Judge of Heaven, Shikieiki Yamaxanadu. Masters, as before, are all OCs.

GMing this RP shall be myself, Ragna The Saviour, Anno R and Raineh Daze (as history has shown I cannot GM something on my own for the life of me) so if you have any questions feel free to ask us. The RP itself shall be taking place in a vaguely American city that will be fleshed out a bit once interest has been gained. Speaking of, applications!

  • Personality: A girl with a strong sense of justice but is too blind to see the world past white and black. There is no middle line. She's easily one to hold a grudge, as shown with her confrontations with Kyouko Sakura.

    • Mad Enhancement - (Rank E-A+): Sayaka's case of Mad Enhancement is strange. She can chip away at her own sanity for a power-boost or stay the way she is right now. The more she falls into madness and despair, the higher her stats shoot up.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Weapon Summoning (Swords) - Rank A: Sayaka's primary way of attack. She's capable of summoning blue cutlasses to attack and tear at the opponent. It's not necessarily a Noble Phantasm.
    • Resistance to Pain - Rank E-A+: An ability gifted by Sayaka's Noble Phantasm. It's the ability to manipulate the feeling of pain itself. This in conjuction with her special Mad Enhancement makes her a fierce opponent in battle.
    • Regeneration - Rank A+: Sayaka's wounds heal at an astounding rate, almost isntantly depending on the type of wound.
  • Noble Phantasm:
    • Sign of the Other Worldly Contract, Soul Gem - (Rank A+): A Noble Phantasm born from a contract with a creature known as an Incubator. This grants Sayaka two abilities (Regeneration and Resistance to Pain), and also allows her to survive even if her body is fully destroyed. As long as the Master has prana, she can continue fighting. Also, if the Soul Gem is destroyed, these abilities are no longer in effect and Sayaka will be killed instantly.
    • Once Sayaka's Soul Gem corrupts (either due to despair or low prana) she transforms into her Witch State. A Reality Marble (Witch Barrier) is expelled once the Soul Gem busts. Sayaka loses all Noble Phantasms, Class and Personal Skills and becomes a monster.

    • Sena: Sena is a kind and tempered young fellow that reels Luna in when she starts running her mouth. He's the easiest one to talk to as he is curtious and kind. Although, he will play along with Luna's games if he agrees to them.
    • Trinity: The third personality that's more often than not asleep. Trinity is kind from what sources tell about her. Not much else is known.

    • Nature of a Rebellious Spirit(Rank A): The temperament to never remain at one location and never embrace a lord. A wandering star that does not have the capacity to be king nor is capable of finding his own king. Negates the effects of Charisma with the same rank.
  • Noble Phantasms:
    • Nox Nyctores - Arma Reboare: Muchōrin (Rank E~A+): A Noble Phantasm which has the ability to incarnate matter. How Platinum uses it fits her personality. She can create bombs out of thin air that have really cute faces on them, or she can shoot little kitty missiles at the opponent. Drawing on the full power of her Noble Phantasm, Platinum is capable of firing off a wave of pure energy that's capable of leveling a few buildings in a few short seconds.

Just a thought but it might be worth potholing Servant's True Names to the series, just for people who haven't watched everything ever. Which is all of us.

  • Personality: Assassin would very much like to avoid direct confrontation, that he would. His primary motivation after having been summoned is to stop excess casualties if at all possible and ensure that a person with dark intentions does not come to possess the grail. Despite acting somewhat air headed when not in a combat situation, he is always aware of his surroundings. Deep down Assassin is best described as a gentle, but strong soul. (OOC: wait, so he's a male Yamato Nadeshiko? That's an amusing way to think about it.)

    • Pacifisim: A: Able to fight at full strength without the intention of killing the opponent. In essence, Assassin is able to hold back to avoid killing his opponent without actually losing any fighting capability.
    • Eye of the Mind (True): B: Capable of calm analysis of battle conditions even when in danger and deduce an appropriate course of action after considering all possibilities to escape from a predicament. So long there is even a 1% chance of a comeback, this ability greatly improves the chances of winning. Assassin is especially gifted at reading the stances and predicting the movements of other swordsmen.
    • Battle Continuation: C: Capable of ignoring some physical wounds while in battle, but damage is still done.
    • Mastery of Battoujutsu: A: Bonus to attacks made from a sheathed stance.
  • Noble Phantasms:
    • Sakabatou, Primary forge of the Reverse Blade Sword: Rank: C (Anti-Unit): A japanese sword forged with the blade on the wrong side, making the striking edge dull. It's lethality is directly proportional to it's user's desire to kill; so long as one does not desire to kill someone with it it will not inflict lethal injury. Also metaphysically hard to break, sword breaking techniques would need to be higher rank than the sword itself.
    • Hiten-Mitsurugi-Ryu, Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki: Rank: Skill (Anti-Unit): Assassin's most powerful sword technique, a sword-drawing skill of such speed that it momentarily bumps Assassin's Speed Rank to A+, faster than could bee seen even by the most skilled opponents. If the attack is parried, the impact of the blade and the offending weapon/shield creates a vacuum that restricts movements for an additional round. (Note: I looked up the rank for Tsubame Gaeshi as a rank reference, "Skill" was what was listed on the wiki)

  • Other Notes: I wasn't sure if I should include the Kuzu-ryuuzen as a second Noble Phantasm Skill, since in my mind it'd be too powerful. It's a sword skill like the inverse of Tsubame Gaeshi, simultaneously striking multiple targets on the opponent to create similarly undodgeble/block-able attack (the way to defeat it in continuity is to strike before the attack hits). Though I suppose tougher servants could tank it. The attack of course, would always be nonlethal, but if you're not tough enough you would end up unconscious. I'd like to use it (It's a cool, powerful move from the series), but I do feel it could be abused (being nigh-unavoidable and all).

Sayaka, Platinum and Noel are accepted. As for Kenshin...

...As much as I want to see the Battousai in this... I don't think he works as Assassin. I mean, I know you're probably basing this off of Sasaki Kojiro Assassin, but... Well, for one thing Kenshin doesn't kill people, so Assassin just seems... Wrong to me. If you changed his class to Saber then I'd be perfectly willing to accept him.

Oh right, and... EX rank agility, even if granted by a Noble Phantasm, is... Um... No. Unless you were, like, The Flash or something.

Also yes, please pothole to your character's series of origin.

The reason I chose Assassin was kind of a nod what he was famous for, killing quite a few people during the revolution. Functionally I'd agree he'd be somewhere between Saber and Assassin (more likely to fight straight duels than just slit someone's throat from behind), but even throughout the series, Kenshin never really fought in the open; the entire Shishio Arc was essentially one long covert assassination mission, only Kenshin didn't end up killing him in the end. Even though he was a "good guy" he was still working from the shadows to subdue a attempted coup. I would call such an activity much more 'Assassin' than 'Saber'.

Plus the irony of "an assassin who doesn't kill" appealed to me as a writer. Something like:

"While it is true that I slew many people during the revolution," Assassin explained as he hung a sheet over the clothesline to dry, "I have since that time done everything in my power to prevent the deaths of those around me, and have taken a vow to never kill another human being so long as I draw breath." He picked up the now empty laundry basket, and began walking back towards the porch I was sitting on. As he passed by me, he made one final statement, "The assassin of my past is something that I do not deny and have come to terms with, but it is not the only thing that defines me as person. I would imagine that saying you are of the Magus class does not describe everything about you, that it does not."

If you're dead set on him being Saber class, then I'll gladly swap Presence concealment for E- Magic Resistance, but I wanted to at least make my argument.

EDIT: Also what would be a good Agility, seeing as the speed of the slash was stated (in canon) to be "faster than even a the highest caliber swordsmen would as able to see?" Perhaps something like A+, explicitly described as basically being A rank plus a little more which makes it just out of normal reach of standard A rank Agility?

  • Personality: Veigar is a little, only slightly insane (opinions may vary) Yordle. He gets angry when his stature is mentioned and has a strong hatred of prisons. Due to Veigar's experiences, he has little regard for others except as resources or obstacles to gaining more power. He is vengeful and despite his appearance, Veigar can actually be remarkably intelligent and cunning.

    • Magic Penetration (Rank C) - Magic Penetration allows Veigar to Ignore an equivalent amount of Magic Resistance. Has no effect on those without Magic Resistance to begin with.
    • Magic Resistance (Rank E) - Veigar has a little Magic Resistance inherently.
    • Soulstealer (Rank A) - Veigar is an expert at taking living souls and converting them into magical energy.

  • Noble Phantasms:
    • Rabadon's Deathcap (Rank A) - This Noble Phantasm is a magical hat which maxes out the magical power of anyone wearing it.
    • Primordial Burst (Rank A Anti-Unit) - Veigar's Ultimate Spell, the Primordial Burst is a huge blast of cosmic energy that uses the target's magical power against them, dealing more damage the more magical the target is.
  • Notes:
    • Baleful Strike, Veigar's go to spell for damage, is specialized for stealing the soul of anything it slays to give Veigar power.
    • As I only vaguely mentioned, Meteor strike is an easy to dodge but more powerful offensive spell. Does just how it sounds, a meteor, made of magic, comes crashing down from above.
    • Veigar doesn't normally incant any of his spells. I'm not sure how to treat this in relation to how spells are handled here. Typically Veigar would cast all four of his combat spells within a few seconds (That includes Primordial Burst, which he isn't going to be able to pull out so easily now). Add some incantation?

  • Gender: Female
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Appearance: She's also about the same height as Nero. So, four foot nine.
  • Personality: Stoic and serious to the extreme, Youmu endeavours to be the perfect samurai, despite her job description technically being gardener. However, she's got a few weaknesses—like being absolutely terrified of ghosts and scary stories. Despite her master's being a ghost and her being half-ghost. Yeah, Youmu is weird.
  • Stats:
    • Strength: B
    • Endurance: B
    • Agility: A+
    • Magical Energy: C
    • Luck: A
    • Noble Phantasm (Rank): A++
  • Class Skills:
    • Magic Resistance: A. The magic she's used to is a lot more overkill than the Nasuverse and even though it's nonlethal, the power tends to be ridiculous.
    • Riding: X. Can't ride. Would probably be scared of the horse.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Danmaku: E. A skill ranking your ability with magical bullets, though even the lowest ranks also come with flight. A higher rank means more complex patterns, but only the highest ranks enable the bullets to do more than inflict severe pain. Since she isn't particularly gifted with the magical side of things, Youmu substitutes Razor Wind, creating B-ranked patterns and damage potential. She'd still rather fight properly.
    • Half-Ghost: EX*. Youmu is half-ghost, with her ghost half being seen around her at all times. It can also fire Razor Wind, though she can apparently feel what it does. It may respond to being called Myon.
      • Eye of the Mind (True): A. As an entity entirely composed of thoughts and the mind, Youmu's ghost half is capable of emotion-free reasoning and analysis regardless of circumstances. The effectiveness of this skill ranks down as Youmu grows more agitated (paying less attention to her ghost half in the process) and full utilisation can only occur as the Hakurouken swings, otherwise functioning at a B-Rank.
    • Gardener: A+; capable of pruning entire banks of cherry trees in a few seconds.
  • Noble Phantasms:
    • Hakurouken—Confusion Cutting Blade. Anti-Unit, A. The shorter of the two blades and the one she wears on her waist, the Hakurouken temporarily negates mental interference in its surroundings upon being swung. This includes Mad Enhancement, Mental Pollution, attempts at mind control, and speeds up perception by briefly achieving enlightenment (and likely throwing reactions off). The sword's name need not be called out but the effects will only last a few seconds*
    • Roukanken—Demon Cutting Blade. Anti-Unit, A++. The longer of the two blades, Roukanken is either worn across her back or carried. Save for something explicitly unbreakable, it will eventually cut through anything in a drawn out fight, and is the sword used to generate the above Razor Wind (Myon, naturally, uses magic due to being a formless blob).
    • Hell Realm Sword—200 Yojana in 1 Slash. Anti-Unit, N/A. Not a sword but a technique comparable in skill to Tsubame Gaeshi, Youmu must use both swords and can be seen preparing to strike. This is the only warning; the attack itself is effectively instantaneous, as Youmu immediately accelerates to, depending on the distance, Mach 70 to 25% of lightspeed and then decelerates after passing the point her foe was seen. If it is not pre-emptively avoided, it is liable to bisect anything regardless of armour.
      She's reluctant to use it with buildings or people around, due to the speed itself effectively demolishing anything ahead of her even after she comes to a halt.

  • Class: Caster
  • Master: If no Master presents itself, some random nameless schmuck who does the wrong thing and gets danmaku'd.
  • True Name: Alice Margatroid.
  • Gender: Female
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Appearance: Apparently good at hiding her breasts when necessary.
  • Personality: Not concerned with interacting with people, Alice is only interested in her goal (making an autonomous doll—following her mother, much?) and those few people that insist on getting to know her. To this end, she is perfectly willing to 'borrow' whatever people have on hand and has lax morals regarding theft. Due to an event in her childhood, she's absolutely terrified of the thought of losing when going full-out and always holds back even if it costs her the fight. Instead of falling back on power, she relies on technique... despite having rather substantial amounts of power if necessary.
  • Stats:
    • Strength: E
    • Endurance: E
    • Agility: B (where her fingers are concerned, A+)
    • Magical Energy: A+
    • Luck: C
    • Noble Phantasm (Rank): C
  • Class Skills:
    • Item Construction: B; unable of creating a truly sentient doll.
    • Territory Creation: B
  • Personal Skills:
    • Danmaku: A*. Artificially restricts herself to C or D through fear of what would happen if she lost when falling back on her own abilities.
    • Master of Puppets: A+. Can control more dolls than she has fingers with astonishing skill and use them in combat, from danmaku to lasers to impaling people on spears to exploding. They're all packed with gunpowder and capable of being destroyed.
  • Noble Phantasms:
    • Goliath Doll—Creation of the Seven-Coloured Puppeteer. Anti-Army, C. A giant doll in the style of all the rest, it's easily bigger than a two story house and dual wields magically sharpened swords that trail lasers. Aside from being extremely durable, it is little different from most of her creations and, as such, is an NP that she can recreate should it be destroyed. As a Broken Phantasm it is an excessive walking bomb that may explode at any moment.
    • Grimoire of AliceThe Ultimate Magic. Support, EX. Even when it isn't activated, the Grimoire shines with the seven colours of the rainbow—hence her title—and sheds magical energy, enough to support Alice even without a Master to provide prana (effectively granting EX-Rank Independent Action). For much the same reason as her refusal to use her full danmaku ability and working through dolls and cunning rather than brute force, she will never use this.
      Its effect* is to be an infinite source of mana and a compendium of every spell that Alice knows and some that she hasn't memorised. This includes the ability to create an entire world in a manner akin to a Reality Marble, to completely halt any ageing or the need for food or drink so long as one has mana, and enough firepower that Magic Resistance that actually relies on shrugging off damage is meaningless.

[up][up] Rejected, unless Moe says otherwise. There's no actual Skill mentioned to give magical abilities, and that's not implicit in the class; the first class skill doesn't exist (it's personal skills you can create; 'class' skills are part of the class); stealing the souls of Servants is a no-go due to interfering with the Grail War; and Servants just... can't generate mana with their own bodies, it's the entire reason there are Masters. Even Gil, when granted a flesh-and-blood body, had to use a separate method to gain any. It's possible for Noble Phantasms to supply prana (/Zero Caster's book does for its own spells and Ea most likely does as well with that level of power) but the Servant's body can't.

[up][up][up][up]...Alright, you swayed me. The Battousai can be Assassin. And that fix for the agility thing sounds fine. Regular people are unable to see high Agility Servants anyways because of how fast they move, so... Yeah, that works.

I understand, then swapping Magic Penetration to Personal Skills would be suitable. That doesn't change much.

The fact that Veigar can't actually steal the soul of another servant is no sweat off my brow. He is particularly efficient at stealing souls and processing them into power, the grail prevents him from taking the souls of servants (Who besides seem to be copies from what I've read)

The ability to generate isn't even unique in this case. Saber could do it, and she isn't even a Magic based class. Though, she could be, because of her ability to create mana. As a result of her Dragon Blood.

The key difference being while Saber had to be fed mana to get it started Veigar's mana factory works by itself and gets stronger when he lacks mana, and is weak when he has some. Perhaps if I stipend that he can't do it if he is actually drained of mana.

While I don't mind taking it out, that pretense isn't appropriate as the main character's, of fate/stay night, servant could do the same act in a similar manner.

I'm not really sure what 'class skill' to give him then. If I take it a class skill is a skill granted by the grail or the master upon summoning, then Veigar's Magic Resistance is itself a Personal Skill, something he had in his 'real life' so to speak. (these are imagined spirits after all)

The Original Post should mention that all class spells are listed in their respective classes. The link leads to a list of Class/Personal Skills which doesn't list which ones they'd actually have as a part of their class.

    • The Transport of a Witch, Marisa's Broom: C
      • The bamboo broom that Rider uses for transportation. It is completely indestructible, and while it has no offensive capabilities of its own it allows for pinpoint dodging of enemy projectiles. Rider prefers it as a method of travel, even over walking. It is extremely visible, but also very fast and an allowance of further maneuverability.
    • Dynamite Reactor for Magic~Mini-Hakkero: C~A++
      • A hexagonal magical reactor, small enough to fit comfortably in only one of Marisa's hands. While it does not appear particularly threatening, in reality it is an A-rank source of prana. This magical reactor allows her to preform a variety of attacks using the Mini-Hakkero, some of which reach a devastating level of damage against the enemy. These include:
        • Love Sign "Master Spark": An A++ attack, Master Spark is a massive beam of magic that qualifies as an anti-fortress attack.
        • Comet "Blazing Star": A B-rank anti-personnel attack, Rider surrounds herself in a blazing magical aura before charging at the opponent in order to ram them.

    • Water Magus (Rank C): Frog is adept at a few various water spells and a strong healing one. These spells other than the healing are lackluster but sometimes serve well under specific circumstances.

  • Noble Phantasms:
    • Masamune (Rank EX): The ultimate anti-magic weapon, the Masamune protects Frog from magical harm by cutting through magical spells. This does not go to the extent that Rule Breaker does but it is capable of breaking barriers and illusion spells as well as dispelling magical attacks.

Another, this one his minimal stats are too much.

No; no EX-Rank NP that will definitely get used, and certainly not one that no sells everything magic based, even Noble Phantasms. You have something there that no sells Ea, which... just isn't right. Also, where the hell does utterly perfect antimagic come in?

..."Ultimate anti-magic"? Um... I'm pretty sure I don't remember that from Chrono Trigger. Other than the NP, that looks okay, although linking to a more indicative picture than just a portrait would be a good idea.

Change Masamune to something that actually fits the Masamune, otherwise I'll have to reject him.

...And yes, it's not an EX rank. EX rank Noble Phantasms include a reality breaking drill-sword that possibly created the world, the army the conquered most of the known world and is comprised entirely of Servants, and the ultimate defense against anything.

...Oh right, Marisa is accepted.

Ugh. I noticed that the application got a bit... bloated but I hope it will be okay.

Despite looking stoic, she is actually incredible hot-head, who will rush into any situation, regardless of the danger, and thus has problems actually following orders or battle plans, ESPECIALLY when an innocent is threatened. Likewise, she will not tolerate any villainous behavior from anyone, including her Master. However, no matter the situation, she has an unbreakable will and determination that will force her to preserve and struggle towards her victory, no with no regards to the odds.

    • Magic Resistance grants protection against magical effects. Differently from the Resistance effect that merely rejects prana, this ability cancels the spells altogether. Important to note that the term "verse" seen below refers to a set of three lines. Thus, a chant of two verses is equivalent to a Six-Line incantation.
      • B: Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for him to be affected.
    • Riding : is expertize to ride animals and vehicles.
      • D: Can theoretically ride, but has great difficulty to do so, thanks to the fact that almost every animal is afraid of her. Can handle vehicles with an average skill.
  • Skills:
    • Clairvoyance' is superior visual perception. Supplement long-range aiming and increases dynamic vision. Furthermore, at higher ranks it is possible to acquire precognition ("see into the future") and other forms of perception that are beyond normal eyesight (X-ray vision and the sorts).
      • A+: o A+: Clares unique nature allows her to detect and “see” abnormal energies like yoki or prana, a skill that she diligently trained until she reached a mastery over it. Thus, she can detect any high-prana sources (like enemy Servant) from twice the distance as other non-Caster Servants and ability to predict any attacks that require prana. She can also predict attacks heavily infused with prana (such as spells,or attacks with magical weapon) on the level of Instinct skill of the same rank. Additionally thanks to ease of prediction, she has an increased chance to escape attacks infused with huge amount of prana (high-level thaumaturgy, and more costly Noble Phantasms), assuming an escape is possible.
    • Self-Modification is the aptitude to merge one's own flesh with body parts of others. The higher the ranking in this skill, the further away one is from being a proper hero
      • B: “Yoma flesh-graft”: An involuntary graft of monsters flesh, that makes the subject capable of rapid regeneration and extremely resilient to injury. Clare can regenerate any minor and average injury by herself, and can reattach severed limb with a bit of time and concentration, all without any help of healing magic from master. Likewise, it makes her extremely resilient to injuries, and makes her capable of fighting on with no regard of injury, until she receives a decisively fatal wound, making it functionally identical to the Battle Continuation of the same rank.
    • Presence Concealment is the capacity to hide one's presence as a Servant. It is a common skill to the Assassin class.
      • C: An ability to suppress her high prana level and thus her presence as a Servant. This skill does not help against any form of physical detection nor can be used in spirit form. As long as her prana is suppressed, all of her abilities and skills are reduced by a rank, and her “Quicksword” Noble Phantasm cannot be used.
    • Mystic Scar is a spell (curse) inherent to a scar inflicted onto user body which is cast as soon as the target look at scar.
      • C: A large scar on Clares chest, that is quite impossible to describe, seeing this scar will immediately cause a great revulsion and instantly eliminates any sexual desire the target may feel towards Clare. While the revulsion can be overcome with sufficient willpower, it is impossible to lust after Clare after seeing the scar.
  • Noble Phantasms:
    • Monster-Slaying Claymore:
    • Rank: C
    • Type: Anti-Unit
    • Max Targets:1
    • This is a signature weapon of the class of warriors Clare herself belongs to, and as such achieved a low-rank of Noble Phantasm. It only distinguishing characteristic is its unnatural sturdiness: The weapon is pretty much impossible to damage by a Noble Phantasm with lower rank, and is extremely resistant to damage even against higher level Noble Phantasm. Also, it will always keep its edge and sharpness.
    • Wind-Cutter
    • Rank: C
    • Type: Anti-Army
    • Max-Targets: 12
    • An unique technique that is a symbol of a Claymore Flora, slayed in the past, this legendary skill achieved a level of Noble Phantasm. It allows her to perform 12 almost instanteus strikes with speed that makes them impossible to see. A great advantage of this Noble Phantasm are its accuracy- as each of the strike can be individually aimed and its cost-efficiency- as only small amount of prana is spend with each usage, allowing it to use even when her prana is suppressed. There is no special property to this NP expect of its speed, and thus the strikes, can be dodged ot blocked if the opponent has sufficient abilities or simply warded off by defensive NP.
    • Quick Sword
    • Rank: B
    • Type: Anti-Army
    • Max-Target: 100
    • A deadly technique that is symbol of a Claymore Irene. Clare can only use it thanks to the fact that she was implanted Irene’s arm in the past. An incredibly costly technique that enhances speed of Clare’s sword-arm beyond measurable Agility. With this technique, hundreds of sword slashes are performed each second, all of them completely impossible to observe. However the arm is just flailing wildly and hitting everything in vicinity thus any kind of precision or technique is impossible. However thanks to the sheer number of blows, everything nearby will be shredded in a few instants. The only measure of control of this NP is that when concentrating deeply and not moving any other part of the body, it is possible to choose one object or person who won’t be hit by this technique. Like the Windcutter, the only special property is the speed, and while it is probably beyond any Servant abilities to block it, dodging by jumping out of the range or warding it off with defensive NP or armour is still perfectly possible.
    • The Awakening
    • Rank:
    • Type: Personal Curse
    • The ultimate and feared destiny of every Claymore. This NP only activates when Clare is in deepest despair, either thanks to being mortally wounded, or losing someone precious, etc. The flesh of a monster grafted into Clare takes over, and changes her to the extent that neither her body nor mind can be recognized anymore. Whatever emerges after activating this NP, two things are certain: 1) Clare as a person is dead, and 2) It will be hungry.

This has sparked my interest, and I'm considering signing up, but I'm leaving the country on Sunday, and I may have sporadic or even no internet access for the entire month of July. If that turns out to be the case, would it be alright to handwave it by saying my Master and Servant were just flying under the radar disguised as normal people and biding their time?

I apologize but there are multiple people to read this :P.

Its a sad but true fact that Masamune's Antimagic properties were not shown very well in the game, but they are there and here is the list.

Masamune is super effective against entirely Magical targets. Well, its supposed to be but a look shows it has the opposite effect, in the coding when you've upgraded the weapon. A huge blunder by the coder's part. IIRC it acts properly in its un-upgraded form.

With Masamune Equipped the Mammon Machine is unable to harm Frog, as it absorbs the attack instead.

When striking Magus it reduces Magus's stats, presumably because of its anti-magic properties.

It tore through the magically sealed entrance of Magus's castle.

And who said anything about 'perfect'. :P. It can cut through magic, giving Frog a high Magical Resistance when wielded properly. But it 'is' just the size of a sword. Excalibur's attack would hit the sword, and go around it striking Frog because of its sheer size. Attacks made on Frog from an angle he can't react to similarly wouldn't be affected by Masamune.

There are some very specific, easy to get around limits to hit Frog with magic.

But, Anti-Magic is the only real property Masamune is known for.
