It was a foggy evening when the Gold Knight proclaimed that all the Knight Leaders must fight. A fog didn’t lift ever since King Harmonia was murdered. That very same evening, an elderly woman wearing a magenta robe stood by a lake, waiting for two other women to come. Soon, the two did. One wore a cyan robe, and the other wore a yellow robe. The yellow robed elder was different, for her eyes were so swollen, that the eyes look like they are closed.

“When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning, or in rain?” The magenta robed woman asked the two.

“Neither, for we shall meet in snow.” The cyan robed woman said.

“I wish it wasn’t so...” The yellow robed woman lamented.

“Don’t worry, my dear, if all goes according to plan… the Frozen Boundary will forever remain a husk... For now, we depart and let the hurly burly ensue...” The magenta robed woman said. Soon, the three all chanted out a rhyme.

“Fair is foul, and foul is fair... Hover through the fog and filthy air.” The three women said as they soon changed into strange fairy like creatures, and flew off.

POKEMON CONQUEST: FATE OF THE THRONE

It was now the evening of the final day before the grand battle for the throne. One of the combatants, Tobias the Black Knight, instead of practicing for battle was busy chasing down a thief (Zolo Arkham) who stole a couple of loaves of bread.

STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM!” Tobias shouted towards a red-haired man wearing only a black shirt and white shorts.

“Sorry, but ya gotta have to catch me… if ya can!” Zolo said, flipping Tobias off as he was running away from him.

Come back, you coward!” Tobias said to him as he chased after him. Soon, a white furred creature, Absol, ran along with the Black Knight. The creature’s horn glowed and soon it threw a projectile at the running man from its horn. However, Zolo dodged the slash by running into some crates. The slash was close though, as it cut some of Zolo’s skin on his arm, causing it to bleed.

“Heh, I see you got a pretty cunning Pokémon. You’re going to need that for the war!” Zolo threw his voice out to the knight. The Black Knight inched closer to the crate, only to find no one was hiding behind it. He turned around and bumped into an old lady.

“Oooh… I’m so sorry…” She said.

Watch where you’re going next time, hag.” Tobias said. He then left. The white furred creature stared at the old lady, then followed its master, only to notice a second old lady who looked exactly the same as the lady the Knight bumped into before.

The old lady that bumped into the Knight walked away into an alleyway, smirking as her eyes glowed blue. Soon, she glowed pink as a magenta wave changed her into Zolo.

“I can’t believe that fooled him!” Zolo said, laughing his ass off at how easy that getaway was. He then took out a loaf of bread that he stole and ate it. He then walked out of the alley, continuing to eat the bread. On the roof, a Lucario stands on the rooftop, mostly obscured by the darkness of the night. He was about to make his move towards the thief, but was stopped by a man’s blue gloved hand.

“Not yet. We must not make our presence known as of now.” The man said to Lucario. Lucario seemingly nodded, as if he understood the man. And then he responded.

“Yes sir…”

And here we go! Pretty much post what your characters are doing on the evening of the last day before battle.

Lily sighed, inwardly. Today was the last day before the battle for the throne. She reflected on this fact. Of course, this would mean she would be fighting a few of her cousins... with that said, she had no intention of actually killing any of the knights. To do such a thing would simply be awful, none of them as far as she knew was truly wicked. However, she had some dislike of the idea of ruining her cousins' dreams for the throne to further her own... however, she believed that her intention for the throne was just as important. That said, if another knight with similar ideals and dreams for the throne were to best her in combat... she would feel no great loss.

In fact, what Lily was most looking forward to was speaking to her cousins again. That would certainly be nice. Arturia was slightly odd, but so pleasant to speak with. And Morrigan... Well, Morrigan was an interesting case... but she was Lily's cousin and Lily desired to see her smile, at least. In addition to all this, speaking with the other knights would be nice. And perhaps Lily would find... that on this venture. That would be wonderful...

Lily shook herself from her thoughts, her smile returning. The walk through her lands was turning out quite nicely. The sun was shining, she had passed a group of playing children earlier... it was nice to do something mundane before the days where she would begin battling. Maybelle was back at her castle, sleeping, so for now she was alone.

Lyle Gizagiza had spent his entire day at home, savouring this last opportunity to relax before he had to go off to war. He had checked on the health of his squires, had a local blacksmith fix up any dents in his armour, and even managed to fit in a bit of sitar practice. Presently, he was going through various documents about what his competition had been up to lately, hoping to find a kindred spirit. Two heads were always better than one, and if there was another Knight that could stop focusing on things like 'honour' and 'justice' long enough to listen to the people of the land, Lyle was fine with giving up his claim for Harmonia's crown.

Of course, a man can only look at long and detailed paragraphs for so long before it was time to take a break. Heading up to his home's second floor, Lyle noticed that Mackenzie had already fallen asleep upon their bed. The poor Mawile was far more excited about this war than Lyle would ever be, and her dedication to protecting him and helping him follow his dreams had always touched his heart. Plus, Pokemon or not, Mackenzie was the only female in the land that Lyle felt he had a strong emotional connection with. After tucking her in, Lyle stepped out onto the balcony and gazed up at the clouds. Whether or not his search for a likeminded soul was successful, he would constantly encounter strife from this point onwards, and he knew that his mother would be watching his battles from above.

After a few moments, Lyle was able to spot a Skarmory and his rider passing in front of a cloud, and he made sure to wave at them. He didn't actually want his mommy to follow him around on ol' Silverwing in case he was killed in a fight, but she had been the previous Gray Knight (retired after a bad leg wound), and it was really difficult to talk her out of anything battle-related.

Abigail sat on a cliff overlooking the sea not far from her old home. Her long blue hair flowed in the wind, and looking down she could see the colonies of Wingull bedding down for the night, aside from a few making a last run into the waves looking for food. It all seemed so peaceful.

For now, at least.

Tomorrow, that peace would come to an end, as she and her fellow knights did battle for the crown. It wasn't something she particularly wanted; her time both as a knight and under the tutledge of her predecessor hadn't fully cured her of her rebellious nature. That said, she was still a willing defender of the crown, even if she didn't want it for herself.

The breeze seemed to pick up from behind her as Aeolus, her faithful partner and friend through many battles and adventures, swooped down from above and settled in the grass beside her. She stood up, and stroked the feathers of his neck gently before mounting up, the red spear on her back glinted in the sunset light.

"I... I guess this might be our last flight together." She whispered to him.

I might not be about to kill to take the crown, but the others might not show me the same courtesy.

With one last stroke, she pushed in with her heels and urged the Pidgeot into the sky. They flew down, off the cliff, and zoomed across the breaking waves, heading south.

"Yup. That tasted purple."

Slash. Down came the sword, angled to cut through an imaginary foe's shoulder and disable their arm—or remove it utterly. Though she had no-one to practice with and little idea of the foes she would be facing, Arturia diligently practised as she had for an hour or more every day since she was tall enough to hold a sword. A knight protected those weaker than them, her father had always said, and a knight that could protect nobody was no knight at all. So she practised, holding reliance on Spaghetti, who was wrapped around her shoulders and watching as normal, as a last resort. She was there to protect, too.

Slash. Sideways, to cut through the waist and... something was off. Bringing herself to a halt, the armoured blonde repeated the movement several times, slowly. Though she couldn't consciously put it into words, something told her that the strike was just... wrong, flawed. Arturia had taken naturally to the sword and listened to her instincts even now, as experience slowly refined them and... there. A slight, imperceptible kink disrupting the smoothness. Again. Again. Again. Iron out the discrepancy now and save herself difficulty in battle later. Again. Again.

Any traveller coming down the road would see the small woman, pack propped against a nearby tree and ornate sword resting in her hands as she practised. Now that she had found something that needed correcting, though, it wasn't a particularly interesting sight—the same exact movement repeated again and again with minimal variation.

GS's post
"Hahn..." Gasping for breath, Hilda glanced up at her mentor from her position. Her hand was still ringing from the glancing blow the young man had dealt her with the flat of his blade. "Hah!" Lunging forward with a thrust, the girl aimed her blunt foil at where his chest used to be. Too late did she realize her mistake when the opposite blade came from down under, its point lodged against her neck. "Darn it. You win again, Master. Like always..." Sighing, the girl stood stock still and waited for the lecture.

"You've gotten better, Princess." Chuckling, the blonde man withdrew the practice sword from her neckline. "You keep giving into frustration though, Hilda." Collecting both practice weapons, Guy wrapped them back up in their canvasses again before putting it onto the Camerupt's saddlebags. Opening the door to the small coach attached to the lumbering bovine, the young lord Cecil helped his charge into the space. "Anyways, time to get back on the road."

"How come you never ride in the coach, Master?" Hilda inquired, poking her head out from the small window as she dried off her sweat with a fresh towel.

Grabbing onto the reins, the leather clad nobleman began leading the docile Fire type down the road. "It's a habit I guess. I've always been rather nimble, and I can't sit still most of the time." Laughing it off, he continued herding his precious cargo. It was almost time. Has it been so long? Idle thoughts kept wriggling about in his thoughts as he made his way down the roads. House Gardios' resurrection was one step closer to being fulfilled. It was only then that he noticed that the grip on the Camerupt's reins a bit too tight. Loosing his grip and patting the great beast's head to assure it wasn't the cause, Guy could only just barely keep his thoughts from coming to a head. Beautiflies in the stomach... I've gotten soft.

He vomited into the toilet again. He then sat against the wall of the bathroom.

Tonight was the last night before the proposed battle for the crown. A battle he was never truly prepared for.

Edwin Owen, the knight leader of the town of Stamford, was about to walk into a possible war and he was, for all intents and purposes, freaking out. Having promised to take up the title of the previous Knight Leader, whom was like a second mother to him, by her deathbed, was already a huge enough step the consumate slacker, but this.....THIS was on a whole new level......

She must be so disappointed in me right now, he thought, darkly chuckling.

He was never a religious man, but he prayed and prayed like crazy to Arceus that this contest was merely some sort of fighting tournament between Knight Leaders instead of open war. He was deathly afraid of the thought. Stamford had never been in a war with the other provinces of Crimena almost since the Kingdom's founding centuries ago, and he did not want that record to be broken. But Mac Beth just had to threaten that record.......

He prayed the other knights were simply back down from anything worse than a simple one-on-one fight. He prayed that none of his opponents will be willing to resort to death. He prayed he did not have to bring himself to KILL -

Edwin got up and vomited again.

The Green was once again hit by the possibility that he might just have to kill someone. He prayed it would not come that, but from what little he had heard of the competition.........a few them just might.......

He coughed out any lingering bile in his throat. He got up and washed his hands. He walked out the bathroom, his faithful Breloom Stumpy standing guard by the doorway. "I'm okay now," he said to the mushroom Pokemon. "Let's get some rest.......and then we do this."

Stumpy nodded, his nerves far stronger than his master's.

For all intents and purposes, the Cyan Knight was ready for war. Derek was putting on his armor, once again ready to patrol his lands. Perhaps for the last time. The war started the next day, after all. Derek wasn't worried. He was never worried. Let them come, let them all come. Of course, Camellia had tried her hardest to dissuade her partner from going through with this, but the Cyan Knight could not be swayed. Really, he had no interest in the throne, but some idiot just had to make a dreadful mistake. They attacked his territory. He did not know which one it was,but he had his suspicions. Not all Knights were brave or stupid enough to attack when the war hasn't even started yet. Regardless, they're dead. Derek was in this war now. There would be no stopping him.

Derek was on patrol now, sitting atop a Mamoswine, Camellia next to him. This particular Pokemon wasn't his. It was a leftover from his "mother's" team. Needless to say, he never used it for anything other than a ride. Camellia was still trying to dissuade him,but he paid her no mind. As they passed, the peasants of his territory averted their gaze. That was fine. He wasn't here to be popular, he was here to do his duty. As they continued on their way, he began speaking the creed that his mother had taught him for no particular reason. He just felt...focused whenever he spoke it.

"I am the void." They attacked his lands.

"I am the cold steel." They would face retribution.

"I am the just sword." He will join this war.

"With blade in hand shall I reap the sins of this world-" He will do his duty.

"And bring order to the land." Mother, watch me.

"I am the Cyan Knight." I will be worthy of your title.

"The end has come!"

Pierre sat on a stool in his cabin, staring at his suit of armor, drumming his fingers on the fancy horns on his helmet. Outside his cabin, the sounds of several rowers could be heard, as they took the Blue Knight's boat across the lake.

Pierre was, to be clear, quite happy about this change of events. A chance to become the king through combat! This was the previously unimaginable perfect combination of his dreams and his talents!

But he wasn't going to let that get to his head, especially not with Paladin watching. He was sure the water-type was in the lake beside the boat, just waiting for him to screw up, and give her a reason to roll her eyes.

"Not today, Pally." he thought, "And definitely not tomorrow."

The inside of an Inn somewhere on the realm

Joshua Mardh, the Yellow knight of lighting had been nursing his pint of beer on his windowside table for the last 15 minutes; while it could be argued that he was doing this to be offensive or simply because he wanted to stay in his place, the truth is; he is in deep contemplation regarding the personalities and abilities of his to be enemies when the next sunrise comes. He already knew full well that he was unfit to rule the realm as he was just some nobody knight with only a couple of eradicated bandit gangs to his name, but for the safety, security and well-being of the realm; he must defeat and possibly kill 19 other knights of the realm with the same ultimate goal as he, because of this rather unpleasant fact; Joshua was in a very deep moral dilemma and is the reason for his current behavior.

"Hey, you okay there?"

His deep contemplative trance was then broken by some random patron, who had become worried as Joshua had completely stopped moving for a minute.

"?! Oh, I am."

"Well you didn't look okay there, you were barely moving; I thought that you died or something."

"Oh, sorry for worrying you; It's just that I'm having problems."

"I can see why, you're that Yellow Knight fellow aren't you?"

"Indeed I am."

"Well, Good luck I suppose; I just hope that if you win and become our king, you'll do something about that horrible Dragon that killed off the Royal family."

The Patron then left Joshua to his own devices.

"... Me? King? I don't think so."

In the castle Harmonium

Having arrived early, Isador sat in his room staring out into the setting sun and sighed to himself. For the years that he had wandered the lands he had seen many wars each as terrible as the last. Some waged in the name of religion, some just for power and others like this one waged in the name of politics. Looking towards his Espeon, Maya he said.

"So partner, it looks like we wandered into a war zone again"

Looking back at him

"I'll never understand you humans and your obsession with killing one another"

"To be honest neither do I. I just hope that the land isn't devastated in the wake of this war. Our battle is not the people's battle."

"Perhaps, but it's human nature to intervene in conflicts like this one. Anyway lets stop talking about this morbid topic, it could very well be our last night together."

"Yea I suppose your right. How about we go out on the town one last time a nice meal and good drinks?"

Nodding Maya hopped onto his shoulder

"You know your a bit too big to keep doing this your not an Eevee any more."

Faking offence "Are you calling me fat? Why I should hyper beam you right now!"

Both laughing they walked off into the town to enjoy their last night of peace before the war began and possibly their last night together.

[A wall of text approaches.]

Within the base of the Poison Knights, the Magenta Knight stood above his troop solemnly. They beheld him, a comrade with whom many had fought, who had entered the knights beside some of them, as both a leader and an equal. His Crobat companion sat, perched calmly on a chair beside him, his personal throne.

"On tomorrow lies the battle, no, the war for which we have waited" spoke Arcen. "To be king is to rise above every layer of the social strata and overpower them all, and I promise to you, my loyal knights, that when I become king, the Magenta Knights shall no longer stand in the shadows of their compatriots; we shall finally achieve our fair chance!" He announced with such emotion, that the squadron felt compelled to applaud his passion, which he felt had always merited such attention.

"But, enough pleasantries," he weakly insisted, coughing to show his pleasure, "we must discuss our plans for tomorrow." At that, they were silenced, yet were visibly confused. Was he not the combatant to compete for the throne tomorrow? "I am aware of your growing confusion, so I must be blunt; I expect foul play at tomorrow's war believe we must prevent it as best we can." With these words, his shoulders arched, his back straightened, and his hands formed fists. His knights sat silently, still shaken by his words. Finally, one knight posed the apparent question.

"Sir, how do you know that there will be...'foul play'?"

"How do I know?" mused Arcen. "The question at hand should be 'how does no one else know?'" The anger rose, from his heart, to his lungs, to his mouth. "The winner shall gain the throne, becoming the greatest power in the kingdom, the ruling monarch, and reputation beyond repute. How could anyone, let alone the most eminent, pompous Knight Captains of the kingdom refuse this opportunity? Who would risk the possibility of true power in a war of twenty competitors? The war shan't be fair; it will be random and chaotic. Cheating, skirting the rules, assassination, I've seen them all. There is no truly fair division in this world; one must take it for oneself!" In moments, he calmed himself, and he coughed again, embarrassed.

"That said, I think some carefully parceled men should balance the game nicely. If I may, I'll have the first lieutenant and his men to stand before the battleground. I expect that they would find it suspicious that none of my men would watch me do battle." Arcen never exposited on the identity of "they", though the meaning was apparent to many. "Should any unfair practices occur outside the war, I expect you to keep me informed." With that, the first lieutenant nodded slightly.

Arcen turned to the second lieutenant, who cringed notably upon receiving such attention. "Second lieutenant-" he paused, apparently mulling over his thoughts or giving some dramatic tension. "I expect you and your men to continue your duties as a knight; patrol the lands, and pay attention the comings and goings of the kingdom. Send a messenger should anything occur deviating from the norm." The second lieutenant nodded as well, gladdened by his light responsibility.

"With that my men, I pray I see you after the war, not only alive, but your new king." Silence permeated throughout the room until he anticlimactically added, "Get some sleep, as the day standing before us presents the true test of a man's caliber", nearly adding the words, "now get out". The knights having evacuated the room, Hareton the Crobat released an enormous sigh of relief.

"Finally, I can breathe in here. Your speech sucked the air pressure right out of the room, I tell you." Hareton flew above Arcen, stretching his wings in an exaggerated manner. "Are you so certain of this supposed cheating? Maybe the knights truly intend to do battle for the throne; that is the law of nature, of course. The strong take power; there is little more to it."

"There is no way that the battle will proceed purely and fairly; I'm sure of it." Even speaking so definitively, Arcen was unsure. "In any case, I only intend to take that which is owed to me; I have given much of my life to the Knights, and now I expect to be remunerated appropriately."

"If you want a chair, Arcen, there is one right here." Hareton examined the chair on which he had so recently perched; the scratches he left were apparent, and it was by no means clean. "Even if you don't like this one, you don't have to become king just to get a chair."

Arcen sighed, exasperated and amused. "Hareton, the battle is not for the chair; it is for the throne, the ultimate power of the kingdom and where the sovereign of the land is seated."

"Right; it's a chair"

"One must have the forward thinking, spiritual notions that I have to see further than the chair." Like any man with lofty aims, a great passion spoke with Arcen. "I intend to move forward, to rise above the rest- and who better meets that role than the king. He who rules all, he who is only one in his generation- that is where the end lies, and that is where I intend to be." His words flew directly above Hareton's head, as his eyes rolled up to see them.

"Well, I hope that I can help you win that chair then." Hareton murmured as he drifted to sleep.

"I keep telling you, it's not a-"

"I hope that you can do so too."

Lily paused. There was no mistaking the form ahead of her. The beautifully-crafted sword, the blue color scheme, the features with a striking similarity to her own, the small frame... it was undoubtedly her cousin Arturia. Well, that was certainly a pleasant coincidence. The girl was practicing her swordplay hard, it seemed, with her serpent-like pokemon wrapped around her shoulders. Lilly considered the sight for a moment. Her cousin was quite possibly the finest swordmaiden that she knew, and yet she still kept practicing so hard. Well, practice kept your skills sharp.

With a smile, Lily approached her cousin.

After two more laps around the family estate, Gertrude Gizagiza gave the signal for her steed to head back to the ground. It had been quite a long time since they had last been airborne, and they wanted to make sure that they could keep tabs on Lyle's progress despite their age. Speaking of the current Gray Knight, he had moved from the second-story balcony to the front lawn, knowing he'd be needed when it came time to dismount.

"Well, laddie, your deal ol' mum's had her fill of the sky for today," Gertie uttered once they had landed, clinging to one side of her son in order to avoid falling face-first into the ground. While many had urged her to get a prosthetic leg to replace the one she had lost in battle, the former Knight Leader was extremely stubborn when it came to overcoming her disability. "Oh, I can hardly wait for tomorrow! The clashing of steel weapons against steel armour...and as the Knight of Steel, I know you won't let me down when it comes to a scrap!"

Lyle let out a big sigh before replying, wondering if all previous Gray Knights really did reach emotional peaks during skirmishes like the locals believed, or if his mother's reputation had forever affected how the public viewed their ancestors. "Now mom, you know that I'll do my best to make you proud, but I like doing things my own way too. They might not always involve a fight, but that doesn't make them any less important. Isn't that right, Silverwing?"

"Indeed, Sir Lyle," the Skarmory replied, doing his best to bow in the process. "There are many paths to take when it comes to following one's destiny, and no matter how smooth or bumpy they may become, all lead to the same destination. Now if you excuse me, I must be off to bed; the early bird gets the Wurmple, after all."

And thus, Silverwing the Skarmory took off. Soon, the Gizagizas were back inside their home, with Gertie seated in her favourite chair in front of a fireplace, leafing through a scrapbook compiling her own time as the Gray Knight. After she fell asleep with the flames still shining, Lyle placed a blanket over her and went back to his paperwork. There were so many Knights he could seek for help, such as the new Green Knight that would probably need Lyle more than the other way around, or that Brown knight said to have the humblest origins of any of the current Knights. Perhaps it would be best in the long run to just forget about this alliance stuff and charge in with his sword drawn, like his mother was known for doing back in the day. Every decision made in this war would have serious consequences, and Lyle hoped that whatever he chose to do would lead to a satisfactory resolution to this conflict, even if he wasn't alive to witness it himself.

Returning to Castle Harmonium

"God that was a good night!" Isador cried as he returned to his room after one too many mugs of ale.

"You know that you get like this when you get drunk and what your like in the morning as well so why do you continue to do it?" Maya the Espeon asked her rather drunk companion.

"Because it's fun and there's not enough fun in the world! It's all doom and gloom! No one knows how to smile any more!"

"And are you sure you should be getting to this state the night before you go to war?"

"Who cares! I certainly don't!"

Groaning to herself Maya heads towards the door and opens it and much to the horror of a passing servant girl starts to talk to her directly in her mind

"Could you please go get me a bucket of boiling water and a bucket of cold water please? It's on the behalf of the crimson knight Isador"

Stuttering the girl is able to say "Y-Y-Yes M-Ma'am" and starts to practically run towards the kitchens

Shouting after her in her mind "Thank you dear. Oh and please calm down, I'm not going to hurt you" and withdraws her mind before the girl goes into complete shock.

Returning soon with the Buckets the maid girl puts them in front of Maya and practically flees.

"Ugh. Children these days. Always so jumpy. Is it that abnormal for a psychic type to talk directly into you mind?" Maya complains to herself and psychically carries the two buckets to the part of the room that was designated 'The Kitchen' and deposited them on a worktop.

Shouting from the living room Isador said "Maya, my old friend where did you disappear to!?"

"To get something to sober you up!" She shouts at him before dumping the bucket of cold water over his head.

Shaking his now mostly clear head "Ah thank you, I needed that." He then noticed the boiling water and nervously asked "What are you going to do with that boiling water!?!"

"Don't worry I'm not dumping it over your head. I was going to make you some tea to sober you up."

"Eh!?! You know how to do that!?! And how would you do that!?!"

"One question at a time. Yes I've seen you do it several times. I'm psychic you moron with telekinesis of course. And stop being so loud your going to give me a headache."

Watching his Espeon prepare the tea in amazement he just stared as she brought it over to him.

"Here you go."

Taking the mug he took a tentative sip of it before smiling "Wow! It's actually a lot better than I expected." and he took the tea over to the 'study' area of the room.

"Thank you I knew it would be. And what are you doing now?"

"I'm starting to study the other knights. I know bits and pieces of information but only public knowledge and hear-say, I've never actually meet any of them personally." he then flicked a pile of parchment that was in his hand "And any one of these people could kill me tomorrow."

"So we're back on that are we? Well if that's the case I'm going to bed."

"Fair enough. Good night Maya. If I don't survive tomorrow I just want to say that it has been an honour and a privilege being your partner."

"The privilege and honour has been all mine, my friend. Good night Isador. Make me a promise though, don't die." And with those parting words she left the room.

Smiling "I'll try, Maya." with a bit more sadness in his voice and his smile turning sad as well "I'll try."

Macbeth, the Golden Knight, looked at the night sky from his castle balcony.

"Tomorrow, my lady, a new king will be declared." Macbeth said as his wife came into his chambers.

"Yes... though how come you aren't practicing?" Lady Macbeth asked.

"It has been foretold that I would be king. It will be as easy as pie." Macbeth said as he recalled the day he received a prophecy from three witches that hung around by Lake la Prass that told of this happening.

"Speaking of, where, pray tell, shall we have the battle?" Lady Macbeth said. Macbeth then clapped his hands, and soon, a Delibird ran to Macbeth, tripping over a bit before getting up. He then stuffed 19 letters, each addressed to a different Knight Leader, into Delibird’s bag.

"I already have a plan for that." Macbeth said. He then told the Delibird: "Take these letters and hand them to each of the Knight Leaders. Understood?"

"Sir! Yes Sir!" Delibird said as he jumped off the balcony, flying with one wing to several different places to drop off the letters.

Tobias was now sitting on a rooftop, looking at the night sky. He knew tomorrow would be the battle. He smirked, thinking out his plan to reform the Kingdom to be more peaceful. If he were king, he would turn the other remaining Knight Leaders into his personal spying network, patrolling the many lands that the Harmonium encompasses, in order to ensure total peace. His Absol's horn began to shake as it stood up and growled at a Delibird flying towards Tobias. Tobias looked up and noticed that the Delibird was about to make a crash landing. He took Absol and dodged to the side as Delibird crashed onto the roof. He got up without a scratch though, and handed Tobias a letter.

"The Black Knight, correct?" Delibird said. Tobias still wore his Knight armor, so Delibird didn't know it wasn't Drake. Tobias nodded as the Delibird gave Tobias the letter. The envelope had a dark red seal in the shape of a Pokeball, while the two sides of the envelope were colored black, his Knight Color. He opened up and read the letter.

Fellow Knight Leaders,

As You Know, tomorrow will be the battle. Some of you are training, while some of you are wondering where we will fight. Well, I am here to tell you that I am willing to provide my castle chambers and the grand encompassing fields of Crawdant for the ensuing battle. But that’s not all. I wish for you all to come for dinner, so that we can all get to know each other before the grand fight. I have put a map in this letter in case some of you don’t know where Crawdant is or if you’re travelling. I hope you all come here and we can all catch up on everything before the battle.

Yours truly,
Macbeth, Golden Knight of Crawdant

Tobias scowled. He knew getting to know the others was a disaster waiting to happen, even Absol can sense the danger. Getting to know the others will make it very difficult to fight them tomorrow, and then there’s the fact that they’d probably think he’s Drake, the Knight he killed to take the armor. But still, he had to at least try and be King. And so, he got up.

Come, Absol, we got work to do. ” Tobias said as he walked off. Absol followed him.

A man with whiteish blond hair and a blond beard was lead down to the Silver Knight’s chambers by four Bisharps. Two normal and the other two shiny. Soon, the Bisharps open a door to where the Silver Knight was. The Silver Knight, while looking to be about 40, was about 20.

“Ah, Hamlet, there you are. You got a letter from Hamlet.” The man, named Claudius, said to the knight as he handed him a letter.

“Ah, that henpecked rooster. What does he have to say?” Hamlet said as he took the letter and read it, understanding that he needs to go to Crawdant. The seal was already taken off, so he knew his "father" or rather, his uncle Claudius, read the letter for him.

“I will prepare your things for your trip to Crawdant.” Claudius said.

“No. I shall go with one of my own Pokémon. A dog should run by himself into an oncoming stampede, he doesn’t need to hear his master beg him to run back.” Hamlet said. Claudius rolled his eyes. He was going for one of his monologues again. “For a dog who picks his own fate could be a master in its own eyes.”

“Hamlet...”

“No longer would he need a leash, he could just do his own tricks, with his own doggie treats.”

“Hamlet...”

“Though, since I am bringing a Pokemon, I should be letting it do my battles in the fight...”

HAMLET!” Claudius screamed. This caused Hamlet to stop babbling. “Look, you are going over there, being the best representative of our castle, and we don’t need your wild episodes to make us look bad. Do what you wish, but remember that you are there to fight for the throne. Understood?”

“... Yes. I do. Farewell, dear mother.” Hamlet said.

“... Loving father, Hamlet.” Claudius said, but Hamlet interjected.

“Mother. Father and mother is man and wife. Man and wife is one flesh. And so... My... Mother.” Hamlet said. He then moved in and smooched Claudius on the lips. “Come. For Crawdant.” Hamlet said as he left the hall. Claudius glared at him. What was he thinking when he decided to marry Gertrude and thus bring himself into his deceased brother’s family? He was left wondering.

And so now there another thing to post: getting the letter from Delibird.

Arturia drew her practice to a close, smoothly sheathing her blade and turning to face the familiar voice. It was the most familiar a voice could possibly get, if a bit different due to how she was hearing it. Apparently, Lily sounded almost exactly like her, just like the two of them were almost indistinguishable. The only person anywhere near as similar was apparently Morrigan... though, not having met her since they were children, she had no idea of whether they sounded the same, with only scarce reports to go on.

Before she had chance to say anything, however, a Delibird arrived and handed over a letter before heading over to Lily to do the exact same thing. So... the Golden Knight wanted them to go to his castle during a battle? To refuse an invitation was the height of rudeness but... at the same time, the timing was when all of the Knight Leaders would be at each other's throats and there was no mention of a possible ceasefire or truce...

Feeling a disturbance in the psychic flow heading towards the room Isador pushed his mind out towards Maya.

Italicized dialogue is telepathic in nature

"Maya I think you should get out here. There's a psychic disturbance headed this way and I want to be prepared for the worst"

"I'm on my way now" And she carefully re-entered the room. "You couldn't let me have a peaceful sleep could you?"

"I thought that this might constitute as an emergency. Could you see what it is that's causing the disturbance before I go drawing my sword."

"Will do." He could feel he mind extend outwards towards the disturbance "Humph. It's just a Delibird. It feels like one of Macbeth's servants. It seems to have a message for you and has no orders to harm you it seems as though he's delivering the same message to all the knight leaders and some have already been delivered."

"Thanks. I didn't want to go attacking a non hostile target."

"Your welcome."

The Delibird came crashing in through the window.

"Not the smoothest of landings I must say."

"Far from it."

Accepting the letter from the Delibird and sending it on it's way with a bit of food, he noticed it had a dark red pokeball shaped seal and the crimson colouration on both sides of the envelope he said "Huh just like me." Opening up he read it's contents aloud

"Fellow Knight Leaders, As You Know, tomorrow will be the battle. Some of you are training, while some of you are wondering where we will fight. Well, I am here to tell you that I am willing to provide my castle chambers and the grand encompassing fields of Crawdant for the ensuing battle. But that’s not all. I have put a map in this letter in case some of you don’t know where Crawdant is or if you’re travelling. I hope you all come here and we can all catch up on everything before the battle. Yours truly, Macbeth, Golden Knight of Crawdant"

"So he intends for us to meet up with our competition for the throne first does he? He also want's us to dine together and to get to know one another? I don't trust it. Maya keep your mind open I want to know what's going on at all times and most importantly whether or not the food, drink or utensils are poisoned. He has to have some ulterior motive."

"I will. But I want you to stay in contact with me at all times, and I don't want you to leave my sight understand?"

"Loud and clear. But First I want you to get message to Althea and let her know what's going one and see how fast she can get the seventh company here. I don't believe that this is simply going to be a case of fair one on one battles. Anyway who would object to some of my followers showing up to support me."

Nodding Maya extended her thoughts out again and for a few brief moments appeared to be conversing with someone which Isador couldn't hear.

Returning back to him Maya nodded and said "Althea said that she could have them teleporting here within the hour. She also said that she would only send fifty people any more and it would be suspicious."

"Okay. Thank her for me."

She did just that.

Looking out the window he said half to himself "So the board is set and the pieces are moving."

Scowling for the first time in a long time "Macbeth. What's your angle?"

When the Delibird reached the forest village of Pede, having to avoid several Pokemon angry about its proximity to their nests, it would find Sentus's fort- large wooden palisades surrounding the town within. When it reached Sentus's home, it would instead find a large, muscular red-headed man in a kilt behind the door.

"Aye ya wee burd? What business have ye with me son?"

He took the letter and sighed.

"Ah cairse it's written. Eh, Sentus kin read, I cannae. Wood ye like te coom in, rest yer wings?"

Lily took the note, and opened it up. A meeting? Well... surely, the other knights wouldn't attempt to harm each other... perhaps it could be treated like a party of sorts? That would be nice... it would be lovely to speak with all the knights. she might even make an attempt at preparing a cake. That sounded nice, indeed. She smiled.

"Well, cousin, perhaps we could make a party out of it?"

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

"Hm..." Holding out a gloved hand to grab at the letter the Delibird delivered, Guy instantly and cleanly cut parchment open with his sword. "Princess, it looks like we're invited to a party." Neatly folding the note and tucking it away, the knight changed course. "Can you polish up those armors up a bit while you're waiting?"

"Sure thing, Master." Taking out the metal pieces from the trunk, she got out the cleaning utensils. Rubbing at her master's more ornate ceremonial armor first, Hilda scrubbed at it. She quite enjoyed the distraction, and it even built up the body. Truly, her master had her interests in mind.

Smiling as he heard the scraping sounds emanating from inside, the blonde man lightly tugged the Camerupt onto a different path. Looking into the horizon, he thought only about the future. House Gardios must rise once more. He will once again take up the blade for his ideals.

"Nah... Master Macbeth wishes for me to go and find the other Knights and give them their letters." Delibird said. He then flew off to deliver more letters.

Derek had finished his patrols and was now on the way home. Camellia had fallen silent, no doubt she had accepted that he could not be swayed and was now planning their course of action. Good. He needed her.

She spoke. "Dee Dee, there's someone coming towards us..."

Derek sighed. That damn nickname again. "I told you, sister, don't call me..."

He noticed the Delibird flying towards them. Now, this particular species of Pokemon wasn't uncommon here,in the lands of Ice, but this one seemed to be a messenger.

"Hail, messenger. What do you bring to me?" he called, sword raised in a salute.

Delibird then handed Derek a cyan tipped letter that contained the same letter, then flew off.
