Jinxy plays Amnesia

So, I bought Amnesia.. Yeah, that one. I was super curious about the game because I've watched parts of the L Ps and well I've always wanted to do an LP... so...

Jinxy is going to play Amnesia and record it. Who's interested in watching me scream like a little girl at every sound?

Just so you know I've NEVER played a horror game before so... THERE WILL BE NO SLEEP IN MY FUTURE.

It didn't creep me out though. I spent most of my time playing it enjoying journals and atmosphere. And bullshitting with Weiss about my BRAIN meter.

"..." meaning night total insanity is now a running joke with us...

...but then I'm a nightmare fetishist so. Yep.

Other people freaking out over horror...I'm up for that!

Aon, I was created using condensed Moe Moe instead of the usual diluted stuff. I'm bound to be obnoxiously adorable to some.

EDIT: In other news, first attempt should be set to go tomorrow evening since I don't work thursday and thus can afford to spend a night rocking back and forth in horror and whimpering.

Just as long as it's recorded competently and/or is more of a collection of clips than an LP, I'll watch it and possibly laugh.

Well, always remember:

I worry myself that my reaction to the game was not terror, but annoyance. Instead of peeing my pants and screaming like a little girl at the bit with the invisible water monster, I just shouted at it a lot. "GODDAMNIT, FUCK OFF, I'M TRYING TO SOLVE PUZZLES HERE, YA WANKER", that sort of thing.

This is basically how I play Amnesia.

The internet has made me jaded as far as fear goes.

Well, I downloaded.. *checks* Fraps for free to record.. It'll mostly be me trying to play the game and rambling on in whatever way... I can be honest.. I will probably sing "giggle at the ghosties" from MLP to try and not cry in fear. And they probably won't be terribly long as it is easy to terrify me.

I was actually scared (at first) when I watched Shaun Of The Dead for the first time. Once they started chucking the vinyls I was better and by the whole "dundundudnund *zombie moan* .... dundudnd" bit I was no longer scared.

EDIT: I feel the need to make an excuse as I did watch it in middle school...and the absolute phobia of zombies I had instilled in me thanks to my big brother and Resident Evil was very strong then.

... Sis is joking that she's gonna have to buy me a nightlight so I don't terrifiedly curl up in a corner of her room so I feel safer.

I approve of this. (and I still think Jinx is cute, but that is another matter altogether).

As long as you don't mind the people laughing at you that is.

I'd watch it.

I've never played the game, but I'm currently watching Lanipator's LP of it. It's less scary when you have an internet comedian.

Honestly, I didn't find Amnesia that scary so far (that's not to say that it isn't scary at all, though). It is still pretty awesome.

@Jinxy: The free version of Fraps doesn't let you record much and sticks a watermark on everything, but there aren't any good free alternatives, I hear (except maybe Camstudio or HyperCam 2, the latter of which has a completely freeware registered version now, I think).

Camstudio works in my experience. You just need to get the settings right and MAKE DAMN SURE YOU TEST IT. I had a Kirby LP that never happened because of poor planning and a lack of testing...

That's my cue to say "no thanks" and exit. Sorry, I'm too critical and get bored or annoyed too easily when it comes to stuff like this.
