@Psyga 315

Just wondering if it would be okay to draft up a profile for the former crimson knight but leave it to you to decide whether or not to incorporate them and have them as an NPC.

Also two questions.

One. Are we leaving Mewtwo out due to the fact that he's a genetic experiment and we're in medieval Europa or having him in anyway like he is in conquest? (Personally I prefer it without him. I love him as a pokemon but well Europa in the middle ages...)

And two. What is the status of religion? Do people worship Arceus or is it just Pokemon that do and people worship another entity?

Mewtwo somehow was in Pokemon Conquest, so he can be here too.

I assume he's just a naturally occuring thing in Conquest.

...Either that or there were feudal mad scientists running around desigining abominations against the natural order when they weren't traveling through time to steal top hats.

He's in Mystery Dungeon too, so it's possible for him to naturally occur if the plot says so.

Cheers all! Thanks for clearing that up for me from now on I'll take Mewtwo as a naturally occurring Pokemon in this setting.

Though I must admit the idea of Feudal Mad Scientists is more appealing personally.

Still what's our stance on the religion front?

Seemingly christianity-ish with Arceus as God.

Shameless Self-promotion ho!

I vote for ascribing Arceus the ability to appear as anything and not just some deer... dog... thing. XD

Cool so we're taking bit's from christianity and other religions then? Or are we just making it up as we go along? My main concern was whether or not humans worshipped Arceus as well as Pokemon.

So if christianity is an influence does that make Palkia, Dialga and Giratina Crystal Dragon Jesus?

To be fair cute, moe Arceus is awesome! I would worship the shit out of that! That... Sounded worse than I expected...

But again, How do people react towards Palkia, Dialga and Giratina? Considering in the games they are revered as gods.

I think they're supposed to be the strange dragons that nobody has seen before and screwed stuff up.

If we REALLY want to combine Arceus with Christianity, I was thinking that Arceus would be the direct creation of God as the Pokemon partner of his son, thus making Arceus owned by Jesus.

So basically we're going to take some basic religious analogs and make this up as we go along?

Because if as Strigon said we take those three as angels, what do we make of the other sacred/divine pokemon? i.e. Lugia, Ho-Oh, Mew, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza et ectera.

...Yeah, thinking about it, a direct Christianity analogue doesn't really work. Um... Hmmm...

[up]One of the things that I was thinking MIGHT work was if it was more an analogue of the Hindu, Shinto, Celtic, Norse, Greek etc pantheons where you have one overall god or king of gods, in this case Arceus, and then various other gods of certain aspects such as war, wisdom, love and so on.

As a matter of fact some of them are already made for us like Azelf, Mespirit and Uxie who are gods of Knowledge (Wisdom), Emotion(Love) and Willpower(Pride and stuff) respectively.

Again that MIGHT work but it also might not.

Yeah, a pantheon would probably make the most sense. Arceus at the head as the creator deity, and all of the other "sacred" Pokemon below it. I'd assume some of them would be more important in different regions than others, too (say, for example, Ho-oh might be seen as more important in the fire region, or Groudon might be more important in the ground region). Or... Something like that.

[up]True but one of the things mentioned in the series is that mew is the progenitor of all pokemon so that's why I included it in the list. [lol]

[up][up]I think that an Idea like that might work. The only problem is that there isn't a legendary representative of all the types so what could be the sacred representative of say fighting or bug types?

And then you get others like myself, psychic, who have; Jirachi, Deoxys, Mew, Celebi, Lugia, Azelf, Mespirit, Uxie, Cresselia, Victini, Latias, Latios and Meloetta as legendaries...

Wow there are a LOT of psychic legendaries aren't there and that's excluding Mewtwo from the list... I never realised quite how many psychic legendaries there are before I started listing them...

Also what's our stance on the whole Deoxys space virus thing?

Bug has Genesect, Fighting has the three (rather, four) musketeers. Poison is the only one without a legendary, excluding Arceus with a toxic plate.

Just own everything, and the rest will come to you.

[up][up]I'd just look and see if they have a second typing and go with that, honestly. For example, Celebi is the guardian of the forest so it's clearly more associated with the grass type, Latias/os are more draconic than anything else, etc.

[up]...Hurm. Hate the Musketeers tag, since they're only very loosely associated with them. I just call them the Legendary Deer, honestly.[lol]
