During the Lolicon/Shotacon clean-up, I stumbled into this part of the Petite Pride trope description:
"Flat chests are usually associated with the young, and a girl with Petite Pride will play this up as much as she can, usually to make herself seem cute and innocent, and to appeal to guys that like that."
This seems fair enough, but the lolicon part doesn't really fit the examples. Those examples that give a rationale for being proud list different reasons (ok, Lucky Star is a special case).
I'd like to modify the description to state that Petite Pride is sometimes played for Lolicon appeal, since I think this describes the situation more accurately.
