The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundSoon, the time of Helsingard will come once more! Whether it be for better or worse, I shall change these worlds, alleviate their suffering. Come, comrades! The multiverse waits! It waits for us!
"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyJust want to put this out there: if anyone feels another character is overpowered, don't be afraid. Bring it up in the discussion thread, so we can talk about it and find out how to fix this problem with a solution that both sides like.
I've got a small question about the setting of this RP. In the Sign-ups, the reason you couldn't accept the ultra-manly Link is, and I quote...
I really find him extra funny, but then again, this RP is supposed to be somewhat serious.
Now, considering that my first accepted character is only twelve inches high, I think I'd like a more specific explanation for how much silliness is just too silly for this setting.
Basically, I saw Badass Link as being an one-shot joke. While your character, being a doll, is silly, it's not too silly. Yeah, it's funny, yay, but the characters will learn to overlook that, since the only silly thing is that he's stuck on the body of a doll- and he can have his darker, more serious moments. Badass Link is a joke
Falkon told me he wrote it as a joke, and wouldn't mind if it was a rejected. When the character itself (and his actions, thoughts, and just everything about him) is a joke, then it's just too much. When the circumstances surrounding the character put him in a situation that is silly, but that also allows him to have some more serious moments, then I find it OK. I can see Chibizama having those serious moments, but I can't see Badass Link having them.
Plus, Falkon had already used Link, and two Links would be just repetitive.

If it's not going to spoil anything, can you tell us how the RP's going to start off? I may not be able to post while I'm away, so it'll be a boon if I can plan ahead of time.
Also, I'm busy trying to figure out the exact nature of Orion's afterimages (and I'll probably try to fit a ZA WARUDO! into the opening post somehow ).
Locking you up on radar since '09I demand that there should be at the very LEAST one pony character.
"Well before, I did it with reckless abandon. Now I can't control myself!" ~ Jesse Cox, 2014I don't think that's entirely necessary, but if you wanna' go ahead with Loyalty!Fluttershy then be my guest.
Not that I have any say in this, but still.

"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyNecessary? Of course not.
Screaming about how every single RP has a pony and so this one must not is bull through and through, however.
I'm not saying we shouldn't have one, I just think it's a bad idea.

Avatar SourceI demand that there should be at the very LEAST one pony character.
I don't work very well with ponies. Also, it's a crowd-dividing subject, and I really don't want that.

The best crossover opening in the world: waking up in the middle of the ship! Yaaaaay.
Anyway, guess this is a good time to say: the characters will visit worlds, but they have to be worlds in their canon timelines. If you are, let's use for example, Flanker, and you want us to visit a Megaman world, you can GM it, a la Game of Gods.
And canon Nasuverse is out for obvious reasons, right?
Avatar SourceIE, if the characters get thrown into Warriors Orochi's world, and Subaru will meet Yoshihiro Shimazu, he won't recognise her?

Do you even ask?

I'm sorry: who, when, what? (<- never played Warriors Orochi)

That's the guy; point being, if you remember, that the way I alternatised Fate and Subaru was to throw them into the Warriors Orochi world. Now, I've noted in my signup that Subaru formed a rather strong bond with Yoshihiro. My question is: If, for example, the characters visit WO's world, will it be the canon world, and Yoshihiro won't recognise Subaru, or will it be the alternate world, and Yoshihiro will?

The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundI've heard of Warriors Orochi, but it didn't seem like something I could get into.
S'it any good?
"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyWarriors Orochi is a series that was originally an excuse for Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors characters to fight each other. But, it managed to develop an interesting original plotline featuring a snake-themed villain, revealed new sides to characters as they interacted with people from the other series, and had unique gameplay gimmicks such as the ability to form teams of three characters and switch between them in the middle of the action. I own the PSP versions of the first two games, in case anyone asks.
I only played the first game with a friend, but it's awesome; it's a Hack and Slash combo-ish game.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundHuh. Gonna' have to check it out sometime. Never really played any of the Warriors series games, though that's more out of laziness than anything else.
"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probably@des: Canon world. Won't recognize. Now that'll be interesting.
Oh, throwing them into an earlier point in the timeline will be cruel.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundSounds cool, Strat.
