Whaaaaaat.
Why a reboot?
I want my animated Athena arc. :(
Well I'm not sure if it's actually a Reboot or not, since "a 'completely new Hayate the Combat Butler' based on Hata's original concepts" could mean a anime original season three.
Follow me on tumblr!I don't want anime original stuff. I didn't even watch that movie despite intending to. I want to see Athena.
We'll have to wait and see what Hayate The Combat Butler 3 is going to turn out to be. I hope it does just cut out the manga filler, and animates the Athena material.
On MAL, Seitokai No Ichizon 2 has been confirmed for Fall. Harem Ending (we hope, go Ken!)
Also To Love Ru Darkness(TV) has also been confirmed for Fall too (Also confirmed by MAL News)

You weren't the only one waiting to hear details on Seitokai. AIC is doing it this time around, and not DEEN. I really hope that season 2 can be as great or exceed season one.
All in all, Fall 2012 Anime is shaping up to be epic.

>Little Busters
>New Hayate The Combat Butler
>Seitokai no Ichizon 2
Suddenly, all 16 series I'll be watching this summer turned into shit. Seriously though, I'm really hoping these news are true.

"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William Shakespeare^
But I do hope they follow the manga. Or else it'll probably be shitty.

Well, it's not going to be in continuity with anything else. Whether that's the same as being a reboot depends on semantics
In any case, makes me actually interested in it. Don't like seeing the same story twice
I have some very mixed feelings about the new Hayate The Combat Butler. On one hand, quite a few fans want an Athena arc and Manglobe has yet to have a hit anime series so this is very risky for them. On the other hand, a reboot would make it easier for someone to license Hayate because this version would likely be 1 cour as opposed to the original 4 cours of the first Hayate series. And of course, easier for someone to actually dub it and/or actually finish releasing the series.
I think I would have preferred JC Staff doing a third season, but I would be willing to give Manglobe a shot at this.
And ANN also has a link about To Love Ru Darkness http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-07-03/to-love-ru-darkness-show-slated-to-air-this-fall
EDIT: Here is the MAL link for Seitokai No Ichizon 2 that I had wanted to post a few days ago. It appears to be an ONA like Upotte and Ebiten http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=457903
I probably should have rephrased that since I know that the basically defunct Bandai Entertainment had licensed the first season and IIRC only partly released it. I know that Bandai released it sub-only. Please correct me if Bandai completely released the first season.

Bandai actually they did. The last volume came out on January 8, 2011... and it's already out of print...
Anyways, add Jojo's Bizarre Adventure to the list.

Follow me on tumblr! Is it just me or is this season totally awesome already?
Well I know what I'm watching this fall...besides the Eva and Madoka films, of course.
I need to rush through my backlog, this season is shaping up... much like Spring did.
Don't movies usually get subbed around DVD/BD releases? Or do you live in Japan?
Infinity...EDIT: Nevermind.
I dunno. Not the live in Japan part, I mean.

Thanks Pokenatic for setting me straight on Hayate.
Da Capo III is the 2nd anime confirmed for Winter 2013 (the first was Minami-ke 4). Wouldn't be surprised if Winter 2013 Anime had more sequels. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-07-07/d.c.iii-da-capo-iii-visual-novel-gets-tv-anime
Yay, Da Capo 3
Animucharts has released their preliminary Fall chart Preliminary Fall chart from Animucharts◊
Chuunibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai should be interesting since it is Kyoto Animation.

Aside from Robotics;Notes, this isn't shaping up to be a very good fall.
OTOH, there are at least 6 shows there I'll be watching no matter what.
Little Busters! Confirmed for Fall.
New Hayate the Combat Butler to Also Air This Fall.
By the sounds of it, the new Hayate might be a Reboot.
