Marvel's really hyping the mercs. Why all the spotlight exactly?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The mini-series did better than expected(probably partly due to the movie)so they're hoping the characters can stand on their own?
I don't think they are going to stand on their own — it looks like they are just going to get their on ongoing series, as opposed to the mini-series they have right now.
Wasn't it confirmed months ago that the mercs would get an ongoing series after the first mini is over?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."My thought on the Divided We Fall teaser image: God, I hate Deodato's art.
I suppose I'll add that I'm hoping it means solo titles for Ms. America, Best-Hawkeye and Gamora. Another solo shot for Elektra would be cool, too, but her last one didn't sell very well. Despite having Mike Del Mundo on art. (Actually, I didn't pick it up, either, and I kinda regret that, because Mike Del Mundo.
Also, if that actually is Fin Fang Foom's foot, I will be incredibly amused. That guy's shown up everywhere lately as it is.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Damn, I can't believe they shutting out my man Clint. So sad.
Cause he's the "Real" Hawkeye after all.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So I guess this really going to be about old heroes VS new. I hope they remember the JGS Academy students...and the Runways...and the survivors of Avengers Arena...and all the other teen heroes
Honestly the less heroes get dragged into this mess the better.
Is Totally Awesome Hulk getting canceled?
Actually, you'd think they'd want him on ANAD Avengers. He'd be a good fit.
Nah, looks more like he's quitting working with the government much like the Avenger Kids are stopping working with Tony's own Avengers. Looks like it'll be a "Freedom/Young vs Government/Restriction/Old" year.
Sort of sad that Marvel finally decides to push their new teen heroes after they already killed so many with Arena, Decimation and other arcs and events. Really hope it's not partly due to wanting people to be ready for the MCU actors to leave and be replaced with new characters in the movies.
Funny enough the Old group reminds me of the CWI/SI/DR times: Villain taking up the cause/armor of another hero(both times Iron Man but this time Doom instead of Osborn), villains/former villains working with one side(Mercs instead of Thunderbolts), a powerful weapon that they can't control 100%(American Kaiju or FFF instead of Thor/Clor/Ragnarok), hero who isn't who everyone thinks they are(Captain Hydra instead of Spider-Skrull) and Slapstick on their side.
Edit: It just struck me how Steve might go back to normal later: Mosaic might be able to rewrite his memories. Due to the mutants being stuck in a corner far away from Cap it's pretty much the only way someone can look at his mind.

I don't think Mosaic can rewrite memories. He can look through people's memories, which is how they might figure out that Cap is Hydra, but he can't rewrite their memories.
@ That poll: Wow, Marvel fans have gotten cynical. Everything seemed so good just a few years (and relaunches) ago; the Hell happened?
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Sequel to one of Marvel's worst events that is just as bad. HYDRA!Cap (you can argue whether it's fair or not but it certainly didn't help).
Non Indicative UsernameMark Waid was right: if he wrote "The Return of Barry Allen" today, he would be crucified on Twitter and Tumblr for "not getting Barry" and "ruining the Flash."

Four counting #0 and FCBD.
Again, you can argue whether the readers are being fair, but those are the reasons I can think of that make readers cynical.
Non Indicative UsernameThe poll mostly reflects event fatigue and cynicism at Marvel's constant rebrandings. Lots of comments about it being more of the same.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. The ANAD relaunch got a bunch of "Pandering to Es Jay Dubyas" accusations.
That's a big one people ignore; a lot of people despise the relaunch simply because the line is getting more diverse.
I do think we're reach peak comic-event with Marvel in recent times; I think so far we're fine, only one is a Crisis Crossover. The Avengers have Standoff and then the X-Men will have Apocalypse Wars and then later Death of X. I don't mind Bat Family Crossover's that much anyway because at least they're contained to one franchise.
That does seem to be the heart of the problem. ANAD had a ton of fantastic titles, with a variety of styles and tones. But . . . more than usual had women and minorities in lead roles. Marvel made a very clear effort to put out titles with diverse casts. So far, in ANAD, they've had 16 solo titles with female leads, and 13 with Po C leads (3 of them being Wo C, and one being co-lead with a white guy but still counts). But 21 solos with white males as the leads, including one as co-lead, and not counting characters like Drax, Howard, Vision, Karnak or Rocket & Groot. (I didn't count Karnak in any category, because he's kind of an odd case. He's always been drawn in such a way that it's tough to tell if he's supposed to be coded as white or as Asian. The other Inhumans have always been very clearly white, though.)
So it's true that less than half of all solo titles have white leads, but it's still a very clear plurality. But, of course, because so many women and Po C characters have been allowed to have titles, it's "SJW Tumblr pandering" and all that crap. And so, regardless of the actual quality of any of the titles, the people who bitch about that shit consider ANAD a huge failure.

X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Feels to me like there were just too many books period. I was looking at a list of June and July Solicits and I practically fell asleep trying to read them all. That plus the cancelations I've heard about seem to confirm they just threw too much shit out there and it was unfeasible to expect all of it to stick.
It fucking sucks too. My Titania was in a position of prominence with this Illuminati series but from what I hear, that plotline is gonna go nowher enow because CANCELED.
-shakes fist-
Don't forget Al Ewing, Marvel's underappreciated gem.
