At my old job, someone once ate someone else's lunch without realizing the person's medication was in the sandwich. So the lunch-stealing bastard got really sick and actually had to be taken away by ambulance.

I'm thinking AIM's lunch room has had people get super powers as a result of stealing someone's lunch.

Sometimes I like to come up with weird superpower origins.

My favorite that I've come up with is gaining sheep-based powers from putting on a sweater made with radioactive wool.

"They thought they could lead me to the slaughter, but I'll show them! I AM THE LAMB!"

Eating irradiated shrimp giving you the powers of a Bullet Shrimp.

That'd make you the coolest animal superhero ever.

So, I was reading through Kate Leth's Twitter, and I found this interaction. A guy asked if Patsy (Hellcat) would be bi/queer. Leth replied with, "I can't say anything yet, but... Have faith." Which is a very interesting response. Leth is bisexual, herself, so queer representation is obviously something that would matter to her. So I imagine the Hellcat series will have some LGBT characters. But this makes me wonder if Patsy actually will be outed as bisexual.

That's definitely a possibility. She was married to the Son of Satan, but it's definitely possible that she's bi. (And since these set photos indicate that Jessica Jones's Trish Walker is gay/bi, it makes sense.)

I hope so, since bisexual characters in "mainstream" media who aren't either stereotypes or famous for being Ms- or Mr Fanservice first are still pretty rare.

Hey, knowledgeable folk of the thread. I have vague memories of seeing a panel online somewhere referencing the myth of Thor dressing in drag to get his hammer back as something that happened in comics canon. Was that an actual thing, or am I making shit up?

Probably not in Marvel, although there was a panel in The Sandman of Loki telling that story, but that's a different universe.

I don't think I'd mix Sandman Loki up with the fella with the horns, so that's probably not it.

I went on Google, and found this scans-daily post. It happened in Marvel Super Heroes #15, cover-dated October 1993. Kinda neat, I'm not too far away from reaching that comic in my Marvel read-through.

That seems to have been at the end of the story. Loki was just trolling Thor at that point.

Seems like an adaptation of one of the myths. Neat. Did the one about Thor and Loki going to Jötunheim and being challenged by the ruler of the Frost Giants ever get adapted into Marvel canon? Because that's my favorite Norse myth.

That's the one with Thor drinking the ocean and wrestling death? Yeah, it was adapted.

I just realized that if Kate Leth reveals Hellcat is bisexual, that means she will be the third cat-themed character to be revealed as bisexual in the past year - since Genevieve Valentine did it with Catwoman and Gail Simone did it with Catman in Secret Six.

I guess it's just a coincidence, but that's some strange synchronicity.
