That's the first enemy they have to fight in the book.

Yeah, but he was supposed to be a member of the team!

In the sense that he was never actually going to be a member of the team but that's what everybody thought at first! And now they're going with the intended story decision and not the hilarious but ridiculous assumption everybody made about it!

This terrible decision not to change everything to correspond to wild allegations imposed by the fandom has caused this series that hasn't even had a single issue released yet to be Ruined FOREVER!

I think Galactus could work on a team if he had his personality from Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.

Galactus' film right are owned by Fox, right?

Look at him persisting in existence.

[up][up] Yes and every issue, he would just call every world-ending threat a tool. "Ha ha, what a tool."

Much as I'm glad to see Hercules back, I wish Marvel would show other mythologies and pantheons.

I am so totally excited for Ultimates. It's looking like it'll be amazing. I think it'll stand a good chance of being my favourite ANAD title.

That Siege preview confirms that Leah and Illyana were, indeed, lovers. Neat! And they seem to have been quite the terrifying couple, too, going by that splash page.

So Ilyana got a love interest after all. Huh.

One alternate reality version of her did, anyway. This isn't the Illyana we know, or the Leah we know.

By the way, Ms. Marvel #17 preview. Kamala's reaction to meeting Captain Marvel is basically as adorable as you'd expect.

Carol's hair is freaking me out. I mean, she's written fantastically here, but Adrian Alphona + mohawk helmet = freaky.

[up]x6 I could go for something like one of the Polynesian deities like Pele or maybe one of the versions of Coyote found in North America.

There are actually a couple heroes powered by the Native American pantheon, Red Wolf and Ghost Dancer.

Perun, the Russian counterpart to Thor in mythology, has also taken up superheroics from time to time.

Anitun, the female Filipino counterpart to Thor (who is an actual mythological figure) has even shown up at least once.

Actually didn't notice that was the outfit.

Edit:[up]I was surprised when Secret Wars didn't get a Chaos War book since the normal books usually don't deal with the other gods so bringing them up in a tie in book for a few issues would've been interesting. Same reason I was actually really surprised to not see a Annihilation(both events) book since that's one of Marvel's most popular events and it would be just the kind of fanservice that Secret Wars has to bring back Nova Prime fighting the good fight for 4 issues with alt!Guardians with their old uniforms, alt!Phyla and alt!Wendell vs people like Annihilus+Ultron+Thanos.

I think Annihilation is covered with the Infinity Gauntlet book — it features the Annihilation Wave, the Novas, and Thanos.

Oh btw, going by Marvel's newest newsletter there won't be a Loki book at all after Secret Wars. The letter goes over "Hey if you read this book before the War and liked it and want to see more of the characters you should read>this one after the universe comes back!" like old Iron Man>new Iron Man and the Loki Agent of Asgard book's > mark is to Contest of Champions(probably because it's also by Ewing).

I've found all of the MAX books besides May Payne 3 (which I don't care about).

Will hopefully get around to them soon. Probably start with the Werewolf by Night mini, considering how much they've been pushing him lately.

Carol's hair is freaking me out.

It's always all over the place.

[up][up][up] It might be that they just haven't announced the Loki book yet and want to keep it secret. Especially since Loki appears to be one of the few to have legitimately survived the last Incursion on his own.
