You know the ol' saying: it ain't easy being green. Especially one for the race of aliens whose top spies ended up being turned into cows by the end of the entire race's debut story. Granted said cow spies regain their badass points by posing as the Big Three in the Avengers and disband the team ensuring no potential threat will screw their conquest, in the long run the Skrulls are indeed a species who doomed to fail.

Want to conquer Earth? Well you have to deal with all the super heroes who says no. As well as your rivals the Kree.

Want to become a stronger Empire? Too bad, Galactus just ate your planet.

Want to rebuild your society? Okay, but first you must survive a Zerg Rush from some Anti Matter Being who really hates all positive matter (like you).

Want to enact a prophecy which brings your people hope in a better future with a new planet, a stronger empire, and unification of your people? Tough titties. You made the mistake of trying to take over the Earth, and the heroes are having none of it.

The Skrulls are just not getting a happy ending.

I think their population has dipped so low that they're considered endangered or something.

I know some jerk was so worried about it that he tried to transform Dire Wraiths into Skrulls to bolster their numbers

Times like these makes the Skrulls REALLY wish they were their alternate universe counterparts: The Krorks. That way they don't have to worry population as they can reproduce fast. They don't have to worry about bigger threats as they can warp reality by using their immagination to create powerful weapons. AND they don't have to worry about anything at all as all they would care about is the next fight.

Wait, the O5 are from a different universe? When was that established?

Angel, now that I reflect on him, was a bit of a wasted opportunity before Archangel. The whole X-Team was white back then, but he was especially privileged, rich, good looking, and had angel wings. Was anything done with that, besides he and his father not getting along? I think that would've been an interesting thing to focus on, this blond rich white guy falling down the privilege ladder.

That's how time travel is supposed to work in Marvel. You can't fix the future, you just spawn a new one beside it.

Actually, Adult Iceman did come out as gay. Teen Iceman went to confront him (with Jean there to provide moral support), and Adult Iceman admitted that he'd always been too scared to admit it. But he has admitted to it, and in fact, the upcoming Iceman solo, written by openly gay Sina Grace, is about Adult Iceman, with his sexuality being very much a part of the book, though obviously not the whole of it.

As far as whether the ANXM are from an alternate reality: Well, the entire multiverse was destroyed, so . . . It was clear that Bendis intended for them to be from the 616 past, given reality nearly collapsed when Teen Cyclops nearly died. But like I said, the multiverse was destroyed. So, at this point, the fate of the ANXM almost certainly has no bearing on the fate of the universe. Teen Beast seems to have implied that they are now effectively from an alternate timeline; he mentioned going back to their time, and it doesn't seem to have been good. Presumably, a minor side effect of Reed re-creating everything.

The new book is about Adult Iceman? Seriously? That's so good.

And on the whole timeline/alternate universe arguement, remember this: the whole pulling of the O5 team happened before the events of Secret Wars (2015). The multiverse of Marvel was still there at the time and all SW did was pull a Crisis on Infinite Earths/Flashpoint-New 52 on the characters so I have to inclined to believe the O5 team are from an alternate timeline. Just like any of Scott's children who are in the present timeline (Cable, Rachel, X-Man, etc).

I think it's fair to say the O5 are from a previous past. Given that they seem to be from the sixties, and it's confirmed in universe that the past changes as much as the future does.

Speaking of past changes as often as the future, then shouldn't the O5 X-Men technically be from the 80s? Especially seeing how Marvel retconned their characters start in super heroing to be in that time period instead of the 60s.

I think you and I know what I'm going to say next. . .

Have there been any updates on Generation X as of late? Stuff like supporting cast members, some of the conflicts, when is Jubilee going to come out of the closet. That kind of thing

None I can find besides the cover which I assumed is Jubilee reviving the team and leading it; with members comprise of the new NEW mutants seen in recent X-Men comics (like Wolverine & The X-Men).

So no info on supporting cast who will share the panels, no plot details besides being the mutant version of Mystery Men, and no headcannon confirmation of Jubilee wearing a Tingle outfit, jumping off a counter and stating that she's a homosexual.

Beats me. Everything I talk about (or in this case joke about) is awkward.

But hey, it's just as out of place as your original comment. I mean the first thing I would of been curious about regarding Jubilee is how is she dealing with not being a vampire anymore and, IIRC, having her mutant powers powers back rather than some sudden reveal of her orientation. Granted it would make an interesting story about her coming to terms with her own sexuality, but it seems relatively minor in the grand scheme compare to her being an undead creature for almost a decade and now human(?) again. And now she leading a new team of mutants, essentially becoming a mentor to the teens much in the same way as Wolverine is to her.

I don't see why Jubilee not being straight would have to be an arc at all? She could just date a woman while having an arc focused on something else. (shrug) I dunno.

True. She could be just dating a woman and that's it. I am just more interested in how she's dealing with being a human/mutant again after spending a good part of the 2000s as a vampire.

Jubilee's not a vampire anymore?

I read somewhere that Jubilee wasn't going to be a vampire anymore, but that could just be a rumor in itself. Though admittedly I haven't been up to date on Jubilee's activities as have been push to the background for a while.

Guess you could say this talk about Generation X got me interested in what Jubilee has been doing lately as she has been an underutilized X Men and one that like back in the 90s when the cartoon was out.

I want her to be a vampire still, but get her powers back.

Complete tangent, but I really want a legacy hero with both the ant-man and spider-man powersets.

Honestly I wish more legacy characters had dual heritage.

Agree. She should retain her vampirism and regain her sparkling powers. And with her being a sparkling vampire that could mean only one thing: I can now finally make a shit load of JoJo memes on Marvel Comics. Now if only we can get Spider-Man's daughter to have her hair in a bun and openly admits to masturbating in public, Captain America yelling "HYDRA SCIENCE IS BEST IN THE WORLD!", more heroe's doing Hawkeye Posing, AND an explanation to X-Men and timelines simply being "It Just Works" then my life would be complete! Shit Marvel already have the whole complicated family tree part down, now let's get more Jo Jo's references in.

Also, I now miss the Young Avengers now that you mentioned legacies with dual the parents powers. Though, to be fair, none of them seems to showcase a cross of their parents powers.

Too bad. I like Joylene Cujo a.k.a. Joseph Joestar if he was a girl. The thought of Spidey's daughter having the powers to also turn her body into string, fight a villain whose plan is to essentially rewrite reality and once lit herself on fire to defeat an enemy is pretty awesome even though personality wise she would be very perverted . . . read the manga.
