He gains nothing from outright lying, so that's unlikely.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Unless it's Metaphorically True. Some things might not seem to make sense, but as long at nothing in AA outright contradicts things in EMH, then From a Certain Point of View it can be seen as a sequel. But we'll see.
Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...That sounds about right. I'm guessing they'll allude to past encounters with certain villains but never give the specifics. As opposed to EMH, where we got first encounters with a lot of the villains.
My villain wish list;
- Count Nefaria: Maybe as a more science-y villain first, and then he gets his powers and decides "lets cease messing around, shall we?"
- Graviton: Potential to be a pretty scary Knight of Cerebus.
- Korvac: An Arc Big Bad, to be certain.
They already beat Grav in EMH.
I'd love to see Korvac, but only if they manage his villain-turned-would-be-universal-saviour storyarc right. They later retconned it in the comics, for no good reason.
Nefaria would be cool too, especially if they bring in his daughter Madame Masque (who was Tony's love interest for a while, everyone forgets that today.)
They had Korvac in EMH. the Guardians of the Galaxy had to come in and stop him.
-*checks out Wikipedia* Looks like they did have Korvac on Season Two (I still haven't seen it yet) but like I feared, they greatly simplified his story, going from a repentant villain who wanted to free the universe from the cosmic entities that rule it to just an out-of-control Kree experiment. Meh.

If they're using Thanos, I wonder if the Eternals will show up.
Adam Warlock, more likely. (Or Captain Marvell. People keep forgetting he was Thanos' first heroic nemesis.)
Well if it follows EMH continuity it could have both of them. As Adam is on the Guardians and Captain Mar-Vell is now leading the Kree. Also the Guardians has Phylla on it.
I hate to say it, Sijo, but Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes went straight down the porcelain pipeline around the midpoint of season 2, when Loeb ASSUMED DIRECT CONTROL and took the writing duties away from the original guys and gave it to the Man of Action crew with a radically different editorial mandate >.<
It stays really good up until that point, though.
As far as the new bit goes... eh. We'll see, although if Loeb is buggering around with it as hard as he did with the last quarter of EMH, my hopes aren't high. *grumble*
I just finished watching season two... and I didn't find the quality lowered. Heck the show is STILL, in my opinion, one of the best comics-to-tv adaptations I've ever seen! Yes, even with the Red Hulk in it!!
(Btw, I just finished the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes Recap page. Feel free to check it out everybody!) (Yes there's spoilers there. A few are tagged, tho.)
Aww, so they beat Korvac and Grav already...
Hmm, Annihilus might be promising.
I know he's not popular, but Sentry / Void has potential, in my mind, to be a pretty neat character if they played him right.
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.Well they did not beat Korvac they just made him run away.
They beat him as well.
Annihilus I mean. In EMH.

Not only that but he died. He was also intoduced in and killed in the same episode right after Leobs crew took over.
We don't see Annihilus die. He was taken away by his own swarm after he lost control of it.
And Korvac wasn't beaten, either. He went away when Corrina called him a monster.
They announced the voice cast today, a pretty talented bunch. Troy Baker is Hawkeye, Laura Bailey is Black Widow, Bumper Robinson is The Falcon, Roger Craig Smith is Captain America, Adrian Pasdar is Iron Man, Fred Tatasciore is the Hulk, and Travis Willingham is Thor.

That's a Really good voice cast but I kind of wish they just kept the ones they already had.
You look happy, I can change that if you want.I wish they kept Eric Loomis as Iron Man, if they wanted someone who sounded like RDJ. I thought he was perfect.
Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...I'm not the biggest fan of Pasdar, but he's certainly grown on me. The writing in Ultimate Spider-Man is pretty sub-par but I thought he delivers, if nothing else.
Same really would have hoped they would keep Eric.
You look happy, I can change that if you want.I thought someone listed Eric Loomis' Iron Man as Most Annoying Sound (though I agree with you guys, I like his voice).
Any more news about this show's status as a sequel to EMH?
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living things
That'd be a dumb move because it just prolongs the inevitable outrage when it comes out that he is full of crap. If they don't have anything but test footage to show at this point, they could conceivably be early enough in the production stage that they could throw in some minor lip service to the previous show.
