The suggestion's decent, but I'd like to see another option or two.
I'm not sure that either is better, but I found this and this (the latter of which is from Deviant ART, and therefore would presumably call for permission to use, I believe). I tried to find a good picture from The Lord of the Rings (Fellowship of the Ring, I think) of Gandalf kindling the crystal that he sets at the end of his staff in Moria, if I recall correctly, but failed to find what I was looking for; if anyone has the movie, better image-searching skills or a more productive resource, they might be able to find a good shot.
My Games & WritingI immediately saw that the head in the current image is a light source. It only becomes unclear when you stop to think about the graphical limitations.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Last panel here?
Belief or disbelief rests with you.Added a vignette to current, maybe says "light source" more. Just an option. We can probably do better. [1]◊
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. There is also that scene from Tangled; a good screencap is here◊. It's just something being light, though, rather than lighting the way.
The Deathly Hallows one is good, and I know there are more from Harry Potter, e.g. that scene in PoA when Harry is wandering the corridors after hours and Lupin ends up finding him.
I don't care for the Crystal Cave image, as that could be daylight and doesn't seem like the person using a magical light source.
The last panel of the Rare Candy Treatment page page is decent — something tells me there's a joke I'm not getting!
I don't really have a problem with the current image, it's just I think we can do better.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. The Tangled image is already used for Magic Hair. The Rare Candy Treatment and Ears For Elves ones are decent. I'm alright with the current pic but I guess we can do better.
"Learning without thinking is labor lost. Thinking without learning is dangerous."Clock is set.
Is it worth having a crowner for this?
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. The first is decent, but I prefer the RCT or EFE ones. The second is better, but could look strange if you don't know what it is, since the shot is odd and there's little context.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Crowner's hooked and the snooze button's slapped. I can't look at the off-site links right now, so a couple of the options need description tweaks.

Definitely prefer the pic of Harry by himself to the group shot; that one seems kinda posed.
Pre-weekend bump for votes.
This is ready to call. The new pic's up, potholed, captioned, and tagged; locking up.

Current image:
This is an okay image, but there's plenty of light not from the headlamp, so it isn't clear the head is being used for a light source. There is a glow in the head, sure, but no beams of light or other thing that would indicate it having brightness. (Also, I generally prefer not having images of roughly severed heads dripping blood, but maybe that's just me. It isn't too graphic or whatever, though.)
Therefore, I'd like to suggest the last panel of the most recent Ears for Elves comic. It's clearly dark except where the orbs are, and the magic is shown through the swirlyness around them. You can even tell someone is invoking it as Tanna is standing right there and such. If people think it would be better, we could use the second panel as well, but I don't consider it necessary.
