We TV has a new hair-themed reality show called LA Hair.

Bad news: It is an exact copy of their previous attempt at a 'hair show', Hair Trauma: A look at the day-to-day goings on at a hairstyling salon with a focus on African-American culture. The only difference between the two is running time: LA Hair is a full hour, while Hair Trauma is 30 minutes!

It is kind of annoying: Most of the 'hair shows' on TV in the last few years were geared towards an African-American demographic (The others are Tease and season two of Hair Battle Spectacular, both from Oxygen.

The only such shows to avoid this trap are also the best shows in that genre: Bravo's Shear Genius and Tabathas Salon Takeover. (Amusingly, Hair Trauma lasted two season dispite sucking!)

Has america been hit by the cooking reality show bug yet?

Because if Australia goes from cooking (This is every-day people cooking, not Iron Chef style) to hair, i'm going to commit suicide.

Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.

Between Top Chef, Hells Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Iron Chef, and basically everything else on the Food Network, I'd say we've had that bug for a while now.

oh, that's why I need this binary mind //

Chopped and Sweet Genius as well.

I like how every link in the first post is redlinked. Shows you how popular they are.

And if I claim to be a wise man, well, it surely means that I don't know.
