I did break down in tears laughing at them stopping all the AT-ST blaster shots, and then Yoda shooting down Kylo with ghost lightning.

That last part does raise questions. I mean, if Force Ghosts can still do force tricks like that, why don't they fight alongside the heroes? They are already dead, anyway. And why isn't Anakin's ghost having a little chat with his grandson about the dark side?

The only joke that didn't land for me was obi-wan being Rey's granddad. Everything else was absolutely spot on in terms of criticism.

You know, Admiral Ackbar taking command and kamikazeing would've made SO much more sense and made it actually mean something, at least for me.

Also, I did find it weird how Anakin's ghost never showed up. If nothing else, he should've at least tried to persuade Kylo Ren to not to walk his path of Dark Side.

I don't think there's such restriction, AFAIK.

Well, that's pretty much the whole issue with Force Ghosts. It really raises a lot of unwanted questions that would break the plot in many ways.

The whole Force lightning beyond the grave thing...that better be addressed properly in Ep 9.

I'm not sure I got the Green Lantern/Wonder Woman joke. Is it because he's a pilot too? Is that it?

Also, the "Artha is from a unicorn-shaped universe." Is he just supposed to be Adam Warlock, and he's the Marvel Universe telling the League that they're out of their league against the MCU?

The Superman CGI mouth joke just flew over me. Everything about this one felt really on the nose.

The subtle jokes were the world-building and Bruce snapping at Clark snapping Steppenwolf's neck. They were pretty blunt with Bruce and Barry pointing out how uninspiring Superman was.

Killing Steppenwolf clearly wasn't that easy - yes it made the Amazons look like wusses, but let's remember that he had Parademons and killed a whole freaking lot of Amazons. He also made the Atlanteans look like chumps. So the joke, "ah, but the Amazons trained to deal with him" kind of fell flat. Barry couldn't have done it that easily either.

I liked the revision of Bruce getting Lois there ASAP but, other then that, not my favorite HISHE.

I'm also a little disappointed they didn't touch on everybody around world suddenly losing their sh't over Superman in JL.

I believe the Green Lantern joke was a reference to rumors that Chris Pine was considered for the role of Hal Jordan before being cast as Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman (2017).

I was wondering about that.
