World of Heroes: Reboot -- Discussion Thread

Alright, I think waiting until everyone's posted, and then making one big post, will be best. Which means that, Totemic Hero, I'm going to need you to do something, at some point. No offense, and no rush.

Well, I kind of made my last post with the idea you'd respond with whatever Kara could detect, but I guess that won't work with the big post thing.

Just let me know if I'm going to stumble onto any of the enemies and I'll take it from there.

You'll stumble upon the Illusionist and Strongman. With your telepathic powers, you'll stand a good chance against the former.

I'd also suggest that someone who hasn't found an opponent yet accidentally find Volt, who's currently rushing towards the nearest outlet.

So, the current fights are

• Arguma and Scio vs Lightning in the control room.
• Strix and Matt/Kara vs Strongman and Illusionist? in a corridor. Is Illusionist the second person Matt talking to in Totem's post? This is where I was originally going to drop Eva, but now I'm not actually sure who's there.
• Isaac vs Mastermind, Quake, Tempest and Comedy in the cell block.

Does Volt have the same ridiculous super speed as lightning? Because there ain't much Eva can do to him if that's the case.

Heh, guess Matt just ignored Dax and Wildcard . That's cool, though. It'll make for more laughs, I guess.

But yeah, it's a bit convoluted right now, with characters giving contradictory views. I lost track of Illusionist too.

@Totemic Hero: ...Illusionist is making Strongman invisible; logically, she's invisible as well. You shouldn't be able to see them right off, but if you use your telepathy, then you should be able to sense them, at least. Right now though, all you're doing is confusing everyone else.

OK, now that you actually say it, yeah, I can see it. But when I first read this post I just assumed that strongman had snuck up on Strix.

If Strongman had snuck up on Strix, I would have stated that Strix could see Strongman, and that it was in fact a sneak attack. I thought I made it pretty clear what was going on...

Hmmm, I think that we should assume Viewers Are Morons from now on when we write our posts, because I totally missed that too.

I'm going to say that, while the post would have benefited from a "the corridor was seemingly empty" line to make it perfectly clear, I did read it while I was still waking up

...I'll go rewrite that part of the post...

OK, so looking back, Volt doesn't seem to have super-speed. Is that right? Eva would have a better chance of not getting her face instantly smashed in if that's the case.

Volt doesn't have super-speed; all he can do is create and control electricity of such magnitude that he can literally shock/fry/sizzle you to death.

Well yes, but he has to hit you, and since he's only as fast as an athletic human male the odds are significantly more even

You can't electrocute a girl who isn't grounded, too, so I guess he'd have to physically touch her in midair and set his hands to different potentials in order to actually do any damage.

Well..... unless he can get enough voltage to give the air an electrical breakdown - then Freefall's screwed.

Is Strongman superhumanly fast as well, and how complete are The Illusionist's illusions?

If he touched her in two different spots the current would run from hand to hand, which could be bad depending on where he was holding.

If he's powerful enough to actually shoot lightning bolts any distance, well, I don't think anyone without super-reflexes, super-durability or a sniper rifle could beat him.

Okay, let me clarify: Volt = Electro from Spiderman. Does that help?

@Dblade: If you look very closely, you can see a slight blur, or some part of where you're looking at that just doesn't look quite right. This is for both Strongman, (who is not'' super-fast,) and the Illusionist.

Sorry, but I thought I made it clear it was Kara using telepathy to detect them. Matthew hadn't actually seen them yet. Be right back, trying to figure out who is and isn't there...

Also, are you going to have Matt continue to ignore Dax and Wildcard, or can you have him mention something?
