I second 25.
I'm in support as well.
Now that Harder Than Hard has a corresponding image, I think it'll be a nice combination to put this one up as well.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerBump. Harder Than Hard now has the pic from the most difficult setting from that game as its pic; having #25 as the pic for this page would give the tropes a nice synergy.
Yes.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.I support the original Rubik's Cube one. It's a clever way of conveying the essence of the trope and the arguments against it are the definition of over-literalism at the expense of funniness..
Besides, it might not be a video game, but it's still a perfect example of a game being played on a ridiculously easy "difficulty setting", one that is instantly (and universally) recognizable as such without the need for text. All this newer suggestion is, is a piece of text explaining the trope. The only thing about it that isn't a boring menu is a totally irrelevant picture of a girl.

"That is not the trope" is a perfectly good argument. It is not a puzzle on an easy setting; it is an easy puzzle. That is a significant difference.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. It isn't just an easy puzzle. It's a modified version of an existing puzzle, i.e. an "easier difficulty setting" of that puzzle.
As has been previously stated, this is a video game trope; the Rubik's cube pic is at best a parody, and in any case doesn't work as well as the Persona selection screen.
Agreed.
-still supporting the P3P pic-
A couple more votes for 25 and we can select it.
I'm kind of partial to this image, as it shows the trope visually. What do you think?

"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"It's a bit tiny. I also kind of like the synergy you get with the two inverse tropes having differing images from the same screen.
Moon◊I don't understand the pic.
It's from Kid Icarus Uprising. Before you start a stage, you can bet in-game currency (hearts) that you can complete the stage at a higher difficulty. If you do, you get more currency than you would if you hadn't bet. If you die at any point, though, you lose your wager (but can keep whatever you earned in the interim), and the game automatically makes itself easier.
Conversely, you can pay money to make the stages even easier, which is what this image is trying to show.
Moon◊I don't see that. Well, I don't see much at all, but even if I squint, I still don't see that.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Yah, I have the same issue.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Yeah, it's way too small to be effective, and the P 3 P pic does more with less.
Is this better? If not, then that's fine, as you already found an image.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"No, the actual image is the exact same size as before, just now there's two black bars on the sides.
Moon◊Ah. Well, with my suggestion useless, give my vote to whatever everyone else is voting for.
Bye!
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"
I like that one.
