I swear, those Moral Guardians have selective blindness that deserves an entry in The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat.

What is wrong with reading the Qu'ran, again?

He's a vampire, and one of the most despicable villains in fiction. They probably think touching the Qur'an should burn his hands or whatever.

Or, you know, maybe they were looking for an excuse because they couldn't even spell out what◊ they◊ actually didn't like about Jojo.◊

The blatant homoeroticism?

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, it's the Elephant in the Living Room in that series. It remains almost completely unacknowledged. And Eastern Arabs have a weird thing about No Homo: men demonstrate affection toward each other easily (hold hands, hug, kiss on the cheek), dance together, and hold very close friendships. The same is true for women. The only close contact with the opposite gender is your grandmother, mother and sisters (maybe your cousins), and wife, and vice versa.
