What really gets me interested in this game is the whole branching storyline thing. If they can pull it off, it will bring some fresh air into the series...
Yeah, was joking with my friends that what is this world coming to if a Call Of Duty game has more unique endings than Mass Effect 3.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them. You know it is sad when a fricken COD game has more meaningful decisions than a game from one of the most esteemed role-playing game studios ever.
This is, of course, assuming that it does.
(ME 3 spoiler)
The ending of the game will have China blowing up with your previous actions determining whether the explosion is green, red or blue.

Ooops, remedied.
My understanding is that most of the characters that "can die" are just Strike Force grunts who don't have much background or anything. But we'll have to see.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.BLOPS 2 already has 3 times the preorders of BLOPS in the first 24 hours of availability.
Jonah FalconThat's hardly suprising to say the least.
And for some reason I get so irritated when they call it "BLOPS".
Blop blop fizz fizz o what a relief it is.
Jonah FalconSo do you think it'll turn out Reznov was alive or that he truly was just a hallucination of Mason's?
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them. It's taking place in 2025.
Jonah FalconMost of it is taking place in 2025, but there are parts of the campaign that take place in the 80's, presumably to see what happened to Mason and friends, and to show the uprising of the 2025 antagonist.
this place needs me hereWell in an interview I think it was hinted at that the issue of Reznov will be addressed so we'll see.
So what do you guys think the antagonist's motivations are?
My guess is that since the 80s show his "origin", he probably was a kid back then whose parents were killed or otherwise suffered during the proxy wars in South America (since his name is Menendez and all), rejoiced at the end of the Cold War, got outraged over the start of a new one and now seeks to destroy both superpowers.
It's confirmed the guy is Nicaraguan; so it's a safe bet to say his anger with the United States and the SCO comes from their exploitation of his country from the war between the Contras and Sandinistas, proxies for the US and Soviet Union respectively.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.Might be a delay on BO 2. That's a bit Douchey on Infinity Ward's part.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Boy oh boy has IW fallen low. Just because you get to make present/future setting shooters doesn't mean that others don't get a chance.
Then again, Activision has always been rather douchey in terms of management and service. Still not as bad as EA though.
At least EA don't publish games, then refuse to pay the developers a penny. The half-finished mess that was Modern Warfare 2 came about as a result of Activision forcing IW to make a game that they didn't want to.
I have no beard. I have no beard, and I must scream.Wow, this is just sad. I really don't care too much for the Call of Duty franchise anymore, but to see that even the game designers in both IW and Treyarch are starting to perceive it as nothing more than a walking lawsuit/cash cow shows how bad things are getting in Activision.
Let me get this straight: Companies actually being expected to honour contracts they have made is douchey?
"Yup. That tasted purple."No, companies dictating what other companies can and can't do is Douchey.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver! That's vague. By that logic, any application of copyright or IP rights is douchey because it's dictating what companies can and cannot do.
"Yup. That tasted purple."No, this situation is douchey because IW are dictating what 3arc can and cannot do in the series they co-produce.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!
I've heard Ubisoft's were pretty decent.
