So, if you haven't heard, Jeff Daniels managed to get the Emmy for Best Lead Actor in a Drama, beating out Bryan Cranston and Kevin Spacey in the process.

House of Cards is still on the air?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Well, technically its On the Net and not On The Air i think ;)
"You can reply to this Message!"Oh, my fault, I was thinking of the UK series. Forgot the US version was Netflix exclusive.
Either way, Daniels beat some heavy competition. Congrats to him.

I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117So this thread's been dead for a while (and it didn't even occur to me to look for it until now) but I just watched the first episode of season 3 and it was possibly the best episode yet. I'm definitely going to be following this season through.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.I just watched episode two, it's going to be an interesting arch.
By the way, what events are we looking at for 2013? Years blur together a lot these days so I can't remember what the big events for the year actually were.
"And the Bunny nails it!" ~ Gabrael "If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we." ~ CyranThe Republicans held the US to ransom over the debt ceiling. I'd love to hear what Will has to say about that.
Morsi lost his stolen power in Egypt to another group of illegitimate rules - the military.
Episode 1 hinted at the whole Snowden situation, which began in 2013.
The current crisis in Ukraine began as a series of protests when their President backed off of a deal with the EU so that Russia could keep control over Ukraine.
Assad's forces used (probably) Sarin against the opposition (SNC) in Syria.
Quite many of these stories are still unfolding...

Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Well, that escalated quickly with Neal.
Also, apparently if you threaten the future Misses Mc Avoy in a shoot out, you are the safest person in the room.
"You can reply to this Message!"Two more episodes coming, but this did kinda feel like a final episode too.
Also, I have to say that Pruitts plan to basically do Tumblr/Reddit/etc TV terrifies me.

"You can reply to this Message!"This has been the best season so far. It looks like it'll end on a downer, though.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.I have my money on Bittersweet...Downer but with a sweet aftertaste.
"You can reply to this Message!"And it ended with a standard Sorkin happy ending. This was a good show, but not a great one. Sorkin is right in his comment that he's done four TV shows and only one of them (The West Wing) was a hit.
Yeah. The first couple of episodes in season 3 were as good as it gets with this show but the last 2 episodes were not as good, and many of the plotlines seemed to just simmer off.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Honestly, given what I see on TV these day's...sometimes I'm just happy with a good show :)
