"Saying "Nuke it" is not helpful to 5P."

The topic title asks for input and I gave it.

"Children are generally drawn with larger eyes and much shorter. This guy doesn't look like a child at all."

He has large eyes and is short. He looks like a child.

He's only short compared to the other male lead who is very very tall. Otherwise he seems about average for women in the manga and characters his own age. He's also thin, lean, and muscular when children are drawn as more round and with completely different proportions.

He's short due to the angle of the shot in the beggining, making him appear shorter also gives him the air of someone lower or submissive marking him as the uke. And his eyes are no smaller then those of adult women in anime.

"Nuke it" is not helpful they need to know why and if just shouting pedoshit worked I could kill lets say call of duty.

I am requesting a pic of tiny guy and big guy next to normal people Google isn't helping.

I'm not looking to get into technicalities or minutae. I'm talking about how the series presents itself and what kind of audience it's trying to attract. OK, the guy may not technically be a kid or whatever, but most people would think he looks like one, and their potential interest in the series would be dictated by this.

I gave my reasons why. And Call of Duty is in no way comparable to this.

This is a (comparatively) niche series, so anyone who sees this will likely be already familiar with similar works and have knowledge on how certain characters are drawn. They would likely not mistake him for a child.

That doesn't give it a pass to be on this wiki.

The fact that it isn't pornography and would only be seen as pedoshit by someone who wasn't supposed to read it in the first place doesn't matter?

Unless I'm mistaken, it falls in the "yaoi" category, which is porn.

Your argument was that people would be drawn to this because the character looks like a child and thus the series is pedo-pandering. I'm saying that is not the case because anyone who willingly seeks this work out will already be a fan of the genre and will be able to distinguish between a child/teen and an effeminate adult.

[down]He looks about average height to me. He looks short only when compared to his counterpart, who is likely considered huge in story.

It's a manga that subscribes to Teens Are Short (tiny guy is 18) and the huge guy is the tallest person in the entire manga. As a result, there's a giant height difference. I'm trying to see if I can find one of the panels with tiny guy and people his age, but it's tricky.

He doesn't look like I'm used to seeing kids drawn in anime, but I realise mine is only one perspective.

Yaoi isn't automatically porn. It just means stories and art about gay men aimed at girls and women.

And again, just because only "certain" people are supposed to read it doesn't give it a pass.

@59 Kaiser Mazoku: "Unless I'm mistaken, it falls in the "yaoi" category, which is porn."

"Yaoi" is synonymous with "porn" only under the technical Japanese definition of the term, which no-one except hardcore manga nerds use in the Anglophone world. Even US publishers use "yaoi" as a general term for Boys' Love Genre works.

It would actually be in the Boys Love genre with yaoi elements to it, wouldn't it?

Yes, Yaoi is not the same as porn. FAKE for instance is Yaoi, but has two sex scenes in seven volumes and is primarily focused on relationships and solving crimes. There's more focus on police work than sex.

The only difference between Yaoi and Shounen-Ai the fact that the former has porn, right? At least that is what I have been led to believe.

The rape thing is only a small consideration at best, especially when it's not being glorified. And it's not, the rapist thinks he's an asshole and the victim is scarred.

@ Chariot: No, the difference is that Yaoi has sex. Sex is not always the same as porn. Two not that graphic sex scenes in seven volumes is enough to class something as Yaoi, but it's still a far cry from porn.

I don't think rape is a "small consideration" when it's the first thing to happen in a series that's part of a genre known for being pornographic and it involves a large adult man and what could pass as a child/teenager.

Rape is one thing, pedophilia is another. Neither is good, but we're not targeting rape at the moment unless it is glorified.

In this case it is glorified, as far as I can tell.

But I already voted devil head, so it's Komodin, Discar and Catalogue who need to be convinced one way or the other.
