The Spongebob Squarepants Movie 2

Wait, what about Gravity Falls and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012)? Aren't those shows appealing to kids?

I think Kix is just having a major drama bomb moment.While will admit Nick seems to have really,really,really,*REALLY* screwed up in the past few years and the only redeemable thing about Disney channel is there cartoons,I still think the 3(mainly Cartoon Network) still will have some good cartoons(Nick still has TMNT 2012 and DC has Wander,7D and Gravity falls and Cartoon Network is far from the Dork Age they're stuck in before).

STOP WITH THE DAMN REMARKS!! Look, i'm sorry if i'm going by this a little too soon, but I still stick to my opinion on this movie being lame before and after it plays in theaters, and the current state of Nick with the exception of TMNT(WHICH THEY'RE ALSO RUINING IN THEATERS!!!), Sanjay and Craig, and... nope, that's all.

What about Korra? Well technically it's not on the channel anymore...

Also, randomly got an idea for a Spongebob Deconstruction Fic... not that it matters or anything.

[1] Trailer's out. ...Did I like that? I'm not sure. Somme parts (Especially the animation!) seemed enjoyable, but others (The I Ce Cream scene)...weren't. Thoughts?

I know, right?! I usually don't like to jump on the Hate Bandwagon, but Spongebob had been quite bad for a while now. Maybe because it's a movie, there's a higher level of quality control?

It's not like they weren't trying; the creator's still pretty involved. He still approves each episode.

Here, however, they got some of the old guys back. Maybe that'll please the whiners.

The CGI's cute. The switch from 2D to CG reminds me of ''Get a Horse!' in a way.

So 10 years after the first one...... I should've seen the CGI and superhero spoofs coming. How else would they get Paramount to be interested in getting another movie to a franchise whose last one was a decade ago, after Nickelodeon has been poor with their movie output to begin with? CGI and superhero movies are in. They are obviously selling out once again to the current trends instead of doing their own thing like the first movie did.

...that said, that is literally the only bad thing I can find bad about this from the trailer! The rest of it..... looks incredible. The CGI animation is a great parallel to the wacky style of the show, the hand-drawn animation has more of a budget, and the whole thing looks just a lot of fun. Hell, maybe the story will be good too!

It's not like Sponge Bob hasn't spoofed superheroes before, right?

They have not done movie-quality CGI before!

I know they did stop motion for that recent Christmas special, but then again, that was a parody of sorts of the old Rankin-Bass stuff.

Speaking as someone who hasn't seen the recent episodes of SpongeBob due to not having Nickelodeon, this made me laugh. A lot.

Yeah, a few jokes might've been misses, but the majority of the jokes made me laugh, so I'm not complaining.

From what Spongebob said, I'm pretty sure Patrick's superpower is Ice Cream-kinesis, but it would be pretty interesting if it was straight up telekinesis, but Patrick is just too much of an idiot to use it.

Really, Really like Spongebob's ability to make bubbles out of thin air.

I wonder if Mr. Krab's Iron Krab suit will breaks down occasionally from cheaply made/bought parts.

This looks like it will be very fun to watch!

Y'know, even though Hillenburg is involved in this, I don't think this will ultimately be a good thing.

I say this because Hillenburg likely stopped doing Spongebob because he was tired with it. And really, writing a stupid-but-funny show like Spongebob has to be really tedious work since you have to come up with stupidity with hidden intelligent humor, which is why everyone else followed Hillenburg out.

I believe Sponge Out of Water will take SB from "plain stupid" to "boring" at best instead of the "stupid-but-funny" that S1-3 was known for. Hillenburg will be working on something he has lost passion for, so it's not going to be as good as it could be.

He didn't actually stop working on the show. He still approves every episode.
