It's based on a meme. Honestly, aren't we above that? Look at the wicks - its wicks are mostly derived from it being a meme rather than being a descriptive trope, especially when compared to its usage.

We can do better.

I thought this was cut.

That said, I'm not certain this should go, but mainly because it's actually been discussed in media (such as in the The Nostalgia Chick video and Lackadaisy art tutorial listed on the page.

To be fair my stance isn't really more in cut as it is a rename, but now that you mention it, it feels more like People Sit On Chairs since, well... it's a typical facial expression.

I think there's something legitimate in it though. The facial expression is used to evoke something to the audience (in this case that the protagonist has attitude and the film will be a zany comedy that subverts the traditional tone of animated films, or whatever else it's advertising, and this is whether or not said film actually does). I'd say any example that's just someone making the face without that purpose is probably People Sit On Chairs, but not when it's on the cover of something.

[up][up]You are getting People Sit On Chairs wrong. it's not about "typical", it's about "meaningless"

Hi I'm the one who published this page. I'd be fine as long as, and if, we find a suitable replacement trope name.

Sweet mother of mercy, 14,000 inbounds? I would vote against a rename or cut based on that alone

That's what it is called.
