I think the trope should be called Impossible Natural Hair Color which features examples of people and animals born with implausable hair color (for their kind/species), no hair dye at all.

People keep posting examples of people who are OBVIOUSLY wearing colorful wigs or dyed their hair. The trope should only apply to people and animals who's hair color is natural. Such characters are of course only found in fiction. If a mutation has caused someone's hair color to change and remained like that, that also counts as an example of the trope too, cuz it's still natural in a sciency kind of way.

"You Gotta Have Blue Hair" sounds a lot like someone advicing someone to dye their hair. Some tropes shouldn't sound like a piece of dialog and I feel this is one of those tropes.

This was very recently discussed and closed. Rename was not supported, and you have not given any evidence to indicate misuse.

I'm tired of discussing renaming this, but a split could maybe be warranted. One was discussed in a previous thread and didn't go anywhere.

[up][up] Yes, I did, the part where tropers put this trope on the pages of people who dye their hair. The appropriate trope is Dye Hard, or no trope about their hair dyeing at all. Sometimes dyeing borders into Multicolored Hair territory which is pretty legit. The point is that that hair color you keep seeing that person in is not their natural hair color thus this trope should not apply to them.

That's not misuse. The trope also covers that right now.

We if not a misuse, I should just call it abuse then, cuz that's what it looks like it's happening. Someone dyes their hair and tropers go lisitng this trope on their pages. The trope's image specifically announces NO HAIR DYE REQUEIRED. And tropers keep posting this trope on hair dyeing people's pages.

No, Goldstone. Proof of misuse means bringing numbers to the table. A number of bad examples or bad wicks. And with over 2000 wicks, you'd have to bring in a colossal number of bad wicks to rename. Not to mention this trope has gone through multiple wick checks in the past.

You have no grounds to rename this. Per the policy that a TRS thread must contain proof of a problematic name in the OP to fly, I am locking here. If you wish to discuss a split, feel free to open a new thread.
