Yesterday I tried a 6/6/3/5/6 asari vanguard build with a paladin II (scope & capacity). Anyone use else use something similar? because with that build I was pretty much a nightmare to phantoms.
I wonder how platinum is gonna handle a fourth faction? Is it just gonna randomly select 3* of the remaining ones, or is the 4th gonna jump in around wave 9? 10 hours left for the event.

Played my first platinum match today, not as hard as I thought it was gonna be but we lost anyway on wave 10, target elimination, last target. I don't know if my two squadmates left alive ran out of missiles or refused to use them but that was fucked up.

I completed a Gold game, bought a Premium Spectre Pack, and got a Raider shotgun and another Widow upgrade (it's at VII now). No point to this section of the post, just bitching about the RNG. I really wanted a Cerberus Harrier or an Earth Pack class or any kind of gear upgrade. Has the new patch been applied? I notice that geth drones actually fire rockets now, and that you can't grab Geth Pyros. If the patch has been applied, has anyone tried using Disruptor Rounds yet? I hear that their power was quadrupled, making them badass.

Anyone try the new post patch singularity? It primes any enemy near it for a biotic explosion.

I don't see how that makes sense. Harby will personally go after a random N7 operative but not Shepard? Or will the Reaper possessing the Collectors just be a random unnamed Sovereign-class ship?

I'm gonna assume it's the latter. It's pretty much what happened in Revelations and makes me shake my fist less.

I've noticed that engineer drone ground speed and rate of fire seems to be faster, as well incinerate has a recharge speed comparable to overload now, which I think more than balances out not distracting husks. Truth be told I never recalled seeing Prime combat drones do anything other than sit next to it before this new upgrade, maybe it shocked you if you got too close but being so close to a Prime would be the bigger concern anyway. I'm getting annoyed with only getting warp rounds lvl 4 in my premium specter pack, they're nice but don't do anything to advance my equipment.
So has anyone tried out Disruptor Rounds yet? Their effectiveness against shields was supposed to have been raised from 100 % to 400 %. Atlases are so screwed.
insert title hereHusks nothing, they're supposed to distract Brutes and Banshees! This is big! I tried out it, but it was on my gethgineer with the Falcon where I use it entirely for techbursting, so I didn't notice too much.
The drone has always been good for a distraction but I could never guarantee it would distract (or even attack) any given enemy. And even if you maxed out the shields they are pretty fragile, so it isn't like an actual decoy that sticks around for a while. The human engineer is one of my favorite classes and their advantage has always been shield stripping with overload and softening them up with the combat drone (as well as simply providing an automated weapons platform). Of course I mostly only play gold now, which I am realizing affects my opinion of how valuable certain powers are based on their effectiveness at that level. The drone doesn't last long at that level so I rely more on the explosive detonation at the end. Also, I know for certain it still distracts other enemies like a Prime.

insert title hereeven if you can't guarantee distraction, it was always still clutch when it did happen. And them being fragile doesn't matter, drones are so good for distracting melee enemies because melee enemies would just stare at the drone, not knowing what to do. I remember one gold match, I had 2 brutes and a banshee locked down with a single drone! Just standing there, staring at it! Never again...
I've never seen that with a drone, a decoy plenty of times but never a drone. Even if it did happen and I never noticed it I doubt it would completely change my performance. If they changed that for a decoy I could understand some uprising as what other purpose would a decoy serve (the Banshee's bemused biotic jumps against a decoy was hilarious).
