Not that that means we can't broaden the trope.

A pre-existing term means there's a pre-existing definition to go with it. Make changes to the definition, and you might as well make changes to the name, too.
I mostly agree, but I think you could be a little flexible with the definition. Like in Star Trek II, when Khan gets control of the planet-wiping thing (am I remembering that right?), and other examples of weapons that are treated the same way nukes are.
^ The Genesis device, used to create planets from nebula. Or somesuch technobabble.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.^^Fantastic Nuke is probably what you're looking for, and yeah, this trope should be expanded to include them.
It may be a preexisting term for a lost nuke, but it is also a preexisting term in archery.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Clocking due to lack of activity.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.
This trope's title suggests an Archery trope. When you actually go there, you find out...it's a nuke trope. However, I see this trope involving any very dangerous weapon left behind, where anyone can retrieve it. Either, change the definition so it covers any weapon, or rename it as an obvious nuke trope.
