From Asuki, who cribbed it from a post in 4chan (/tg/ or /a/ are likely culprits): the case of one Mahiro Yasaka, as if penned by H.P. Lovecraft (or Derleth if you prefer) .

... Brilliant!
"long, terrible tale" ....?
HARDLY, dawg!
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...Having found a better site to watch on...
Wow. She's like Nyarlathotep by way of Excel and Konata. What is she yelling all the time? Sentai shows?
All I can say is "BLT". And I wonder if she dresses up like a dark pharaoh at some point.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984
Mostly Kamen Rider references, but in episode 01 she exclaims using MS/MA names from Mobile Suit Gundam, while in the second episode it's mecha/ships from Space Runaway Ideon instead. Frankly easy to spot.

This is a complete mockery of the mythos but I cannot help but be curious after reading that 4chan post >_>
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI don't think it is completely mockery. Even though it is crazy and parodic, it is obvious author knew what he is writing about. Personaly I don't think so it can't be considered as Affectionate Parody instead.
I don't think anything is outright mockery, unless it's outright laughing at what it mocks. And even then I'm uncertain. On the other hand, I understand why "true" fans would see it as such. Or people who just want to be insulted, but I believe those are covered under BOCTAOE.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.
It's a mockery of Lovecraft in the same way that Daily Lives of High School Boys is a mockery of the Schoolgirl Genre of anime shows, which means it isn't. Really. The jokes are tongue-in-cheek for sure, but they're backed up by a genuine knowledge of the Mythos and its related material.

I think your avatar is more a mockery of the character with the caption you have for it...
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. So in short, it is not
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...Episode 3.
Nice to see someone getting the tables turned...
I also liked how the water was constantly steaming around someone as well. Nice touch.

... So, I'm a fan now. How about that?
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI know, it's weird but you just can't help it.
#IceBearForPresidentThat's pretty much exactly what I've been saying. Having prior knowledge on the mythos (even if it isn't extensive), I thought I'd probably end up hating this. Somehow, familiarity with Lovecraft's works only make it funnier, in an absurd, surreal way >_>
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI found it funny how Nyaruo (Nyarly's brother) was dressed up in Egyptian digs, which means I suppose that he represents the "Black Pharaoh" mask from the Mythos. Does this mean that Nyarue (the meganekko from the flash shorts) represents the "Red Woman" guise (the one with the empty bleeding eye sockets)?
Anyway, I found this episode MUCH slower than usual. I blame Cuuko/Cthugha's careful and very very slow dialogue for part of it (though she more than made up for it for being so forward in determined in getting Nyaruko to have her babies...), part of it for Nyaruo himself. Give back motormouthed Nyaruko!
Next up... The Trap in Yellow!

What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...Heh. Just watched the first three episodes. Bit cliché in some spots, but self-aware enough to make it less annoying, and also pretty damm funny. Gave me some good inspiration on 'how to screw with you protagonist'.
So is Hastur really supposed to be a guy? It's freaking hard to tell...damn you trap!

Give me cute or give me...something?Fukken saved.
I should really start reading up on Chtulhu Mythos to understand more (and lose some more SAN.)
Just watched ep 2. Hot Nyarlathotep on Cthuga action...now I've seen everything.
Also, because I found this amusing:

Indeed, the actual roll for SAN (including the actual Callof Cthulhu character sheet) was shown in episode 01. References to losing SAN have been popping up since then (like in the PV for episode 03).
