Ookamisan's Cinderella with a twist story (he ends up looking for the girl who kicked him instead of the shoe left behind) might work.... lets see how well the images turn out though
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I think 6 and 11 would work good together.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I could live with that.
Very good.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Another vote for that.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I lean toward the second.
I second that.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Ok caption? the next line is◊ "And They Lived Happily Ever After"

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Bump so everyone ok with the second one on that post above?
How about that caption?
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I could live with it.
I can't think of anything good for a signature.Works for me.
I laughed.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I find the subtitle in the second pic confusing... It doesn't say anything about love, but that he "decided to raise our Cinderella". That sounds like him becoming a surrogate father to her, not a lover.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.
I think the background lighting looks too distinctly romantic for that...but I do agree the captions made me think "baby?" and try to figure out what he's saying.

Can we get a non-subtitled version of the bottom picture.
I agree that that would help.
If it can't be found/done, though, then I'd prefer keeping the current image. I think the expression on the guy's face puts it above bad image territory.
EDIT: If by some bizarre miracle I'm right, should the current image be cropped? The negative space on the left in the current version bugs me. I think this is better, though if I've gone overboard I can try again:

I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn! While not better than the other suggestion, it's better than the current.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.
I'm seeing the first punch (well, kick) in the image, but no love anywhere. So it doesn't illustrate the trope.
